"Baby.... I've missed you terribly" After saying this, the next she did was to lean down and hug Dili tightly. I would guess that Dili had to stand up properly because the former position he was in was uncomfortable.
Back up for a second. Did she just refer to Dili as baby? That word ran continuously in my head like a broken recorder. Who on Earth was this girl calling baby? Cause it sure as hell can't be my fiancée.
Dili looked at me with a panicky expression. It looked like he was trying to pass a message across to me. I rested my chin on my hand and looked at the two of them cooley. I didn't want to jump into any unnecessary conclusion so I decided to play it calm.
"Adenike, I didn't know you were back in Nigeria" Anyone could note the shock and confusion in his voice.
The girl that was apparently named Adenike giggled a little "I wanted to surprise you so I didn't inform you"
