May 8
It's a day off, and midterms start tomorrow. I'll go see what Chie's up to.
I trained with Chie for the most of the day. My knee is about ready to give out.
"Phew, let's call it a day." She said
A male student walked up to us.
"Huh? It's Chie. Whatcha doing?" He asked
"T-Takeshi?" She said. "W-Well, I'm training! I'm working out!"
"Huh? When'd you graduate to being king of the hill?"
"King of the hill?" She asked
"In kindergarten it was the runt gang, in elementary you were an ally of justice, middle school it was the vanguard of lunch revolution wasn't it? Haha, so, what's it now? Protector of earth's peace?" He asked
"W-well..."
"Quit bagging on her." I said. Both of them are surprised.
"Huh? Wait, what're you saying?" Chie asked
"Oh, uhh, I didn't mean that in a mean way. I'm Takeshi Kouno, I was with Chie up until Middle School. I'm not gonna get in your guy's way." He said
"Hey, what are you-"
"Oh, how's Yukiko san doing? Does she have a boyfriend yet?" He asked
"She's fine, and I don't think so." Chie said
"I see, cool cool. She still good lookin? Maybe I should try for her again. I'll see you later, say hi to Yukiko san for me." He said before he walked off.
"So am I the only one who wanted to throw him in the river?" I asked
"No! It's just, ugh, I- don't put that idea in my head it could happen the next time I see him." She said
"Better you than me, if I throw him in I go back to Juvie." I joked
She laughed a little.
"I'm sorry, he really is rude huh? Seriously, he was always staring at Yukiko. H-Hey don't get me wrong, he's nothing but an old classmate to me! We're just friends, y'know? We used to get that a lot though." She said as she smiled sadly
Well I just learnt something new about her.
Chariot Social Link: Rank 4
Evening.
Nanako's home alone, AGAIN. Where the hell is Yu? I thought we agreed to alternate with this.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked her
"Um, well... I made flowers at school yesterday. They said today is Mother's Day." She said
... shit she's right. I won't get a chance to put flowers on mom's grave. I was lucky that they let me at least do that in Juvie, I mean it was obviously supervised but still.
"My teacher told us, that's a day when you give your mom flowers. I don't have a mom, so, I don't know what to do with these flowers." She said. Poor kid looks like she's on the verge of tears.
"You can give them to her." I said
"Huh? Oh, you mean the family altar!? Dad always puts food there, he says it gets to mom in heaven. Do you think my flowers will get to her too? I did a really good job on mine. My teacher said they were pretty too. I wonder if my mom will be happy to get them. You should make a flower too big bro!" She said. "Then we can celebrate Mother's Day together!"
Nanako taught me how to make an origami flower. I'll make a couple extra, if I'm lucky I might be able to send them home.
"We did it!" She said
We placed the finished flowers on the family altar, it was getting pretty late, so I put Nanako to bed and headed up.
I've got to try to be quiet, I don't want to wake everyone up. I tried opening a portal home, I just ended up creating an empty frame. Dammit! I did it about five more times, each with different coordinates. Still nothing!
"Dammit! Is it too much to ask for this!?" I said quietly, then I glimpsed at the Manifesto.
It's got to have some kind of residual tracking energy for that compass inside to work. Maybe, just maybe, if I start pumping a little bit of dimensional energy into it, I can make a small rift home!
I got I set up on the table in my room, then began charging energy through my arm, finally I released it, sending it through the disc, however instead of creating a portal it began crackling, and it unleashed a massive energy wave, knocking me out.
