The De Lune sisters didn't have much of a problem subduing the bookkeeper. Between Grace's skill in magics and Luna's pure strength, they were easily capable of taking down any threat. Grace had her arms draped around the bookkeeper, while Grace put up a force field around the three of them, watching the battle unfold. She could just rush in and take out the slime queen herself, but she wasn't sure what nasty tricks the bookkeeper had. Sure, the bookkeeper wasn't very good at thinking on her feet, and mostly focused on defense and healing spells, but it was always a foolhardy thing to assume.
In speaking of healing spells, Grace could smell that the bookkeeper was trying to preform one again, this time on herself. She was sure that her knight in black sand armor was the one calling the shots, but how she was involved with him, as well as someone who's been using skills that have been abandoned after the Fiend Lord's rising, was another story. Most humans weren't capable of making weapons like that either, and then there was the tentacle monster. It raised too many questions that she couldn't ask right now.
The best solution, she believed, was to wait for the knight to be defeated, so that they could get answers and, possibly, find a solution to his imprisonment in a sandy body. It was technically a bluff for leverage of course, but it would be more than enough to convince her to answer why someone of her power and his predicament had snuck in past their noses.
"So we can do it, right Grace?" Luna questioned, watching the slime queen attack the three men.
Grace shook her head, eyes focused on the fight. " Hard to say. Though we are good, it would take some time."
Luna frowned at this, she really did want to help the bookkeeper. She also wanted to help the man who learned the Monster Arts and his tentacle monster friend, who helped Tomi live. Grace was good at smelling magics and lies, but Luna was always good at smelling bonds that people formed, and the feelings they had for each other. She could smell the pain, fear of loss, and even the hopelessness they had felt before meeting each other face to face. She could even smell the worry that the bookkeeper had for the sand knight, to the point that her gut wrenched.
She knew that Grace didn't want to help these people, as she wouldn't have helped Tomi if he hadn't shown so much power. Convincing Grace would have to wait, as her nose twitched to the smell of the slime queen, which to her surprise, was quite smitten with the sand knight.

Kinyuki, Figaro, and even Tomi didn't have a hard time figuring out that the slime queen loved the sand knight. There she was in all her glistening, giggly, glory, with her eyes having become heart shaped. The three allies all moved away quickly as she latched onto the weakened knight's upper body and began bouncing up and down happily. Figaro would have laughed, if he didn't think the bookkeeper would have snapped at him and gotten away from the De Lune sisters. Though he saw the white-haired one smack a guy into the next life, she still looked like she'd be in real trouble if the bookkeeper snapped back into action.
"Tomi," Kinyuki began, "What do you know about this particular monster?"
"Well, they usually have a crown...but that's when they're with a king." Tomi answered.
"The powers, Tomi, the powers!" Figaro clarified, seeing that the queen had begun staring them down.
"Ohh! Uhh-if they can't find a king, sometimes they've been known to follow other men and keep them as-"
Tomi didn't get to finish his sentence in time. The slime queen had enough of these ruffians, and chose to attack from a distance. Her heart-shaped eyes grew angrier, and then were shot out at the group, only for them to be quickly replaced by more of them. Her eyeballs were shot out in rapid succession, forcing the trio to flee. Some of them hit Kinyuki and Tomi, which caused the parts of the clothes to sear away like acid, even burning the parts of the skin it hit.
Trying to fight them both stuck together was a dumb idea, Figaro thought, so he decided to wind up his sword wielding tendril, and swing at the knight's legs. The knight tumbled over causing the rain of eyeballs to stop, replaced with a high-pitched squeal of the queen.
Seeing his chance, Kinyuki ran around the fallen duo in order to finish off one of them at least. Figaro latched onto the knight and handed Kinyuki a knife, before the queen had seen Figaro on her knight. She was able to get a few shots on Figaro's face before she felt a knife jab into her body. Kinyuki used what he learned from the knight's attack, he combined his aura to extend the attack further into the monster, causing her to screech louder.
It was then, while the slime queen had unattached itself from the sand knight, that he felt something odd. Kinyuki's aura knife still embedded in the queen, he had felt that he hit something with the aura half. He slowly extended it further, and soon found himself grabbing at the source with his other hand. What came out was a volleyball sized glob of putty, or at least that what it felt like. The queen had gurgled and finally dissolved completely, as Kinyuki examined the putty ball.
To his surprise, the ball had molded around with the aura knife, making a short, putty sword. It didn't even burn him, and he wondered how far he could extend the new weapon with his aura. It was just in time too, as Tomi was hoisted up by the freed knight, and Figaro looked to busy to stop him.
The sand knight had thought that he had gotten some distance from the two unknown assailants, but was sorely mistaken when a tendril had grasped his neck. He was undeterred, as he needed to finish this last outlier before the day's end. He felt something else cling to him, but it wasn't in the same direction as the tentacle monster. It was the monster fighter, now being able to use some gummy substance.
As the realization hit him on what kind of skill Kinyuki had used, he then looked over to Tomi, holding his axe. With Figaro on his side, holding his sword in front of him, and Kinyuki on his, the two slingshot themselves at the knight as Tomi swung the axe as hard as he could, putting whatever energy he had into the axe. What happened next was three guys being blown back by a sand explosion. After getting up and dusting themselves off, they were greeted by the confused and distraught faces of the De Lunes and their captive.
"Oh, and that ball you're holding? It's where the slime queen's crown comes from. I think that the bestiary called it the 'Queen's Rattle'." Tomi recalled, despite the fight being over.
Kinyuki smiled, despite making the whole situation even more confusing. This world, and the people in it was something he was going to have to learn more about. He had really wanted to learn more about the beasts of this world, but more than that he wanted to know what was going on with the world he came from, and the oddness that is these two assailants. He knew one thing for certain, if Tomi really is the protagonist to an RPG harem story, getting the answers from anyone around here would be difficult, whether they're given straight forward or not.
