After scrubbing floors, dusting every cabinet and trophy case that she would be able to enjoy a nice relaxing hot bath or some good food. Not today, King Xavier made it clear that no one is to rest until everything is done and that if one person has completed something they will be assigned another chore since he will be in his office rearranging files and prepping for shipments of cargo to their various ships.
Scrubbing the floor in the throne room is a pain just as I was getting near the doors to scrub the doors go thud, thud loudly. Laila gets up from cleaning, wipes her hands on the apron than opens the heavy doors to reveal a lovely Princess standing there with a smile saying,
"I know, I am a day early but I just couldn't wait to see Tessa. Oh wait, who are you? Aren't you Lucy? Oh, never mind who you are. I am Princess Lacey Laurel from Kingdom Griffon is my room ready?"
Laila rolled her eyes at this preposterous Princess then hollered for Lucy who came rushing to the door and stopped dead in her tracks.
"Thank you, Laila, my dear. I will handle this, go back to your chores."
Laila smiled and bowed at both of them as Lucy ushered Lacey inside explaining in hush tones that she isn't to arrive yet and that the castle isn't ready for anyone. Lacey complained that Tessa requested her a day early to help with dresses that would be suitable for tomorrow and that they needed time together.
Laila rolled her eyes as she watched them bicker until Larkin came to escort Lacey to her room. Lucy came into the throne room with a heavy sigh shaking her head.
"I will never understand what Tessa see's in that woman? She is at least five years older than her and is all uptight when it comes to spending time together. I need a drink of wine, want to join me, Laila?" Lucy said with a smile.
"Sure, anything to get that high all mighty Princess Lacey out of this mind." As soon as Laila said it she heard giggling and everything from both of them. It made Laila feel jealous that Tessa never does that with her.
Lucy laughs out loud replying, "Girl, you are an Angel, nothing to be jealous of. Lacey is just another bump in the road, and trust me that bump is big."
Laila knew that this is fun with Lucy thought she could make Tessa jealous but in her mind that is cruel. Lucy grabbed Laila by the arm as they went to hide in the liquor cabinet with the other maids who were already carrying on with a bottle of red wine. King Xavier came into the cabinet and shook his head.
"Lucy, why is Princess Lacey here?" Xavier calmly asked.
"According to Lacey, she came here because Tessa asked her help into fitting into dresses for tomorrow." Lucy calmly replied back.
Xavier took a step back then slammed his fist into the wooden door with frustration, he stomped off to go find Tessa and you could hear him fuming as he went doing the hall. Next thing you hear is a loud thud of a door and King Xavier shouting at Tessa and Lacey. Seems Lacey got entangled with Tessa.
"Dad, NO, NO!! STOP!!! I LOVE HER DADDY, PLEASE I BEG YOU LET HER STAY!!! DADDY, DADDY, DADDY, NOOOOOOOO...." Tessa screaming loudly across every corridor as you could hear Lacey pleading to stay.
King Xavier is known for letting his temper to get the best of him and when it comes to Tessa it is a lot more than boys getting his girl, it is also every girl she comes across. Queen Deanna never interfered knowing the cost of her husband's temper.
Tessa came into the cabinet and grabbed Laila by the throat saying,
"Do you ever wish to meet my doom? You are the next to be kicked out of this Kingdom for destroying my life with Lacey and Larkin."
Laila shivered in fear wishing she could just fly away but now she is in the death grip of a princess who has no control over her own temper just like the King. Tessa dropped Laila as she struggled to breath then stormed out to go find Lacey or Larkin and right now all Laila wanted is to be close to her new friend Lucy.
Lucy came up beside Laila whispering,
"That girl has issues especially over a boy and a girl, whom her father doesn't like, and we are supposed to be representing Princesses all over our Kingdom tomorrow. Oh, what a hell, we get to go through."
Laila looked up at Lucy with a smile though she is crushing on Tessa, she could still be crushing on someone else for until she can get Tessa to notice her, without killing her. Lucy smiled back at Laila then helped her off the ground as Laila said,
"Even though Tessa is a moody young lady, she can't handle the fact her father will control whom she ends up with in the end. Including Prince Kieffer Dion though he is so gay that he wouldn't like having her as future Queen."
Lucy laughed out loud that all the maids followed suit. Laila felt ready to head back to her room since she had a feeling they were done for today that is when Lucy clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.
Ladies, we know the routine when we have someone new working for our group. Let's get her a cot on the floor settled next to me, please, and we can go to bed since we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow.
Laila looked at Lucy that still is beautiful as ever and her heart melting slowing. She had to tell Lucy that she has a room but at the same time, she didn't want to be rude either. Laila took a deep breath then finally told Lucy.
"Lucy, it is much appreciated to have a cot for me and everything but I have a room upstairs to where Larkin is my bodyguard, I don't need to sleep down here."
Lucy held her breath then smiled replying,
"I will call for Larkin then to have him escort you to your room."
Laila went to stop her but she was already gone as another maid came to her saying,
"You aren't really wanting to go back to your room, are you?"
Laila shook her head no. The maid laughed out loud spoke again,
"Lucy Laurel which is related to Lacey they are twins but unfortunately Lucy ran away from her duties to be a maid instead, and she is lets say not one to be liking the same kind but as her second maid Jinger Stilton you are better off fighting to get Tessa Jones than Lucy."
Laila rolled her eyes replying,
"Tessa couldn't care about me, Lucy is at least nice to me, and is willing to work with me."
Jinger walked away as Laila stood their nervously wringing her hands together lost in thought of her own. Laila needed to make sure her paths are correct or else her father would make her lose the reality of being a Angel completely and she still has to make sure Larkin and Tessa are together forever if she could ever get King Xavier alone to speak about it.
