A month had passed since Stace had set off on her own to embark on her new adventures of finding herself. She wasn't certain where it would lead her, but the thought of not knowing excited her in a way she couldn't describe, since she has not experienced that feeling before.
This path was no ordinary path.
It was a lost moment.
A forgotten memory.
Retracing steps she once took,
only walking on it as if it's her first.
This is a road less travelled.
Stace was used to walking on grassy plains so it was no surprise when she suddenly stopped as she came across a pathway. She thought about phasing back into her human form in case anyone came along. She had walked for miles before finally seeing a village up ahead. However, there was one tiny problem. She couldn't get to the village as there was a huge gorge preventing her from getting across and she could not see a footbridge nearby.
Each day, she tried to figure out a way to get across. She even contemplated building a bridge but she knew that would take too long. One day she suddenly had a crazy idea, but she knew it would be near impossible. Until one night, she dreamt about jumping the gorge, climbing so high above it.
The following morning, after eating, she decided to train herself, to see if her dream could become a reality.
'That jump is pathetic! Come on Stace! You can do better than this,' she told herself. She trained and trained daily, She created a track where she tested her agility and stamina. She gradually increased her speed until the objects around her that she used to see became unrecognizable blurs.
As she trained she always ran around a large obstruction in her path, a fallen tree. She could have run around it like she usually did, but decided to seize the opportunity to jump over it. She backed-up a few miles and ran at her top speed and she leapt. Her paws just skimmed the top surface of the large fallen tree. She was pleased with herself that she managed to leap that height. Though she knew she still had to train herself a lot harder to make it over the gorge.
