"If we properly think about it, we can say for certain that they don't have any threat as intention…" Father mumbled.
The ambassadors from the 5 kingdoms sat down the sofa, in front of Father's desk. We siblings, except for Elicia, were also included at this meeting.
It has been a day after the accident that happened during my birthday party and here we come.
To be honest, it isn't that much of a threat for the 5 ambassadors to come.
The reason why they are called is because the banner with my name was the only thing which was broken.
To sum it all up, the weirdness of this accident is what made Father call the ambassadors.
"We can't easily say that their intention isn't threat itself, your majesty" The ambassador of Forthenor, Jim Hyde stated, as he tilted his glasses.
Are all people that live at Forthenor Kingdom wear glasses like Forth and Sir Jim?
"At least, we can say that if their intention is threat itself, their main target isn't the Emperor but the third Imperial Prince" The ambassador of Sernathe, Robert Hartfillia looked at me.
Somehow, I can feel his anger just by looking at his eyes. Are all the people of Sernathe always pissed off like Reina?
His stares are kinda giving me pressure. "Ah! Now that I remember it I saw two suspicious people, when I was looking for my friend, that night" I stated.
The attention of the center changed from Father to me. "Can you specify their looks?" Father asked.
"They were all in black, so I can't surely specify whether they're man or woman, but they came in from the outside" I said. "From the outside, huh..?" Father mumbled.
Alfred spoke, "That would bring forth two possibilities" He became the center of attention.
"A possibility of the suspects being from the outside or from the other outside, which would be talking about those who attended the party" Alfred stated.
"Well, Ed just saw them came from the outside, we can't easily say whether they took part to the party or not, so that would make Alfred's statement true" Father stated.
Altheia spoke. "There is also a possibility of that two acting on behalf of a big organization, don't they?"
"Precisely, just because the young master saw two, we can't determine whether that two are the only one behind this" The ambassador of Orthorn, Albert Forgan rubbed his beard.
"Whether they are the only people behind this or not doesn't matter. What matters is their intention" The ambassador of Benigrul, Ains Dianthus stated.
"Their intention matters, but the fact that they are the only one behind this or not matters as well!" Sir Jim argued.
The two ambassadors started arguing in front of the Imperial family and the other ambassadors.
The ambassador of Gothiceln, Ghift Ernst tried to stop them, but he was too timid to do so. Instead he panicked off.
"Stop it!" The Emperor shouted at a not loud but not that quiet tone. The ambassadors, even we siblings, flinched.
This man's tone really just manages to scare you off, even without any intention to do so.
"All of your speculations might be right or not, but the one thing we know is it cannot be just a mere prank" Father said.
And with that one thing, the meeting was dismissed.
I entered Reina and Anna's room where they all stayed, since Father ordered us to stay in big groups.
Since, we don't still know the intentions or who our enemies are. Just in case, the people invited to the party are ordered to stay at the palace as well.
The palace is big enough to have at most thousand people stay.
About Gino and the others' room, seems like Anna and Reina asked Seria to have them stay on one room from the start.
While, the boys slept on their own respective rooms. Well, you can't expect the boys to stay in one room that easily, you know.
As I came in, Forth asked me out of a sudden. "What happened?"
"Ah, right. They are now starting to ask the people invited to the party and some of the people at the city now. We are still ordered to stay in big groups" I stated.
Forth is also worried, since we know nothing about this case.
"If they are just asking around, can't we do that as well?" Gino stated. "You can't!" Seria stated.
She added. "Even if we say that it is merely asking around. We don't even know if the one you're asking has malicious intent or not"
"It's kinda unfair! We are kids so we are assigned to just stay here, while the adults are doing their best" Gino stated.
Anna spoke. "We're just kids, it's not like we can do anything" She hugged Elicia tightly.
"It's not a sin for you to be kids, more or less it is a blessing for us adults" Seria stated, as she patted Gino's head.
I mumbled. "Can't do anything, huh?"
Is there truly nothing we can do? But like Anna said, we're just kids who are unreliable right now.
"But…" I mumbled.
I am not a kid like them. If I can't do anything, then I will protect them.
Like that, I didn't notice everything. I only tried to look at the side, averting my eyes to the big picture.
Depicting events can be so tiring and hard sometimes. And I procrastinated to do so. There is a part of me that is belittling this issue.
It might just be my fault that it all ended up like this. Don't you think, God?

The next day, a letter came to the palace…a letter on a blood-stained envelope. "This is just a beginning. You are next, Memento Mori…"So written on it.
"Memento Mori, huh..? It means that "Remember you will die" right?" Alfred stated. "Is this letter talking about the majesty himself?" Sir Ghift asked.
Sir Albert stated, "If Robert is right it is talking about..."
All of the ambassadors, my siblings and Father looked at me. Suddenly, I became the center of the attention.
"It is talking about me?" I mumbled, as I pointed myself.
Why am I being the one target?
Had I done something that made me the center of the attention, to the point of being targeted, like this?
Why me, why not Father, or my siblings? Why me?

Scene skips to another man beside a tree, with some wire cords stuck to his back.
He continued to look over the sky, without turning around. He did kinda mumble some words which isn't audible.
