Birdie went fast to the bed and got under the covers. As soon as she got in the bed she felt so warm, Asher felt like a heater and now he was her personal heater.
"What's up babydoll?" he said. He gave her a loving gaze and she felt her cheeks heat up. She really didn't want them to but apparently they had a mind of their own. Now she has to think of a way to make them cool down.
She tried for several minutes but with no results so she just let it be. It's not like he hadn't seen her redden a million times.
"I promise I will get to see all the shades of red that tose cheeks can reddent to" he said with a cheeky smile in his face. He meant it and she knew he was talking business. What he said only made her cheeks warmer but she decided to ignore it again. It's not like she could do something.
Asher laughed at her for some more and then he slowly went serious. He had to speak to her but knew this was not a good moment. She had been through so much today. He didn't want to burden her further, "We'll talk for a bit tomorrow okay Little Bird ? we have some important bussiness to discuss, but now it's time to sleep".
Birdie just nodded and cuddled further to him. She was really comfy and warm and she fell asleep in a few minutes.
Asher couldn't believe his luck, a few weeks ago she ran away from him and now she was cuddling him so close to her that he was nearly choking with the death grip she held on the back of his T-shirt. He knew now that with his baby in his arms nothing would hurt him, and he went to bed with those happy thoughts.

Asher woke up with a startle after hearing his Little Bird scream. He got up with his gun that he took from under his pillow and started looking around for whatever threat could've made his baby so scared.
The only thing he saw was his girl looking around really confused and that confused him to. He didn't know what was going on in her head and he was scared of that. For all he knew she could be thinking on ways to escape after the shock of last night wore off.
"What's wrong little girl ?" he said. Asher sat back down in the bed and took her to place her in his lap. After he took her chin to hide it upwards and be able to look at her eyes.
"I'm sorry Ash, I forgot for a moment that I was here and freaked out a little. I'm sorry I woke you" she said trying to look down and cover her face with her hair in a weak attempt to try and hide her blush from him. It seemed that all she could do was blush when she around him.
"No worries Little bird I know you didn't mean to, what time is it anyway?" he said with a shrug. He didn't really cared as long as she was ok. Also with him being a secret agent and all he had to get up really early every morning to train. He had his own gym in his house and he used it sometimes but very much prefered the one in the facility as it had more equipment and people to train with.
"It's seven a. m. seriously, you should go to sleep, I just need to go. I have to train and then I have to go to starbucks to meet someone."
She didn't want to tell him that it was Kurtis since she would imagine that he would get all alpha male on her and she was just fine with her sweet Asher.
Asher knew that she was going to go to have coffee with Kurtis, he already watched the interview even though it wasn't going to be retransmitted until tonight, but he had to know that she was safe before she went to the interview and so he looked up every person that worked on the set and that was going to be in the public, and when everyone was cleared out he hacked into the tv station cameras to watch it.
He naturally knew everything about her outing with Kurtis and he wasn't about to let her girl go with another man.
"Ah that's true you're going with that tv guy right ?" he said it so casually that Birdie didn't registered it until a moment later. Her eyes went wide as saucers and she looked at him like she had seen a ghost.
He downplated it and continued, "I would like to go too I have some questions for him and also I'm sure that he would be delighted to meet your boyfriend right? I'm the most searched person in the world at the moment, he would have great gossip". Now he was slowly forming a smile as he saw his little bird opening and closing her mouth like a fish trying to find words.
"H-how?" She asked with shaky voice, scared of how he would react, she didn't mean to cover up her outing like an affair, and she didn't want him to think that.
"Did you really think I wouldn't look at the interview ?" he said with with superiority, "I mean I'm not Shadow but I know my way with computers"
At the mention of her she went a bit stiff but quickly recovered and masked it with a shy smile.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't want you to think I was seeing other guys" she said looking down trying to not see the disappointment that was surely going to show in his eyes.
Asher cooed at her and placed his hands on her cheeks and lifted her face up to make her look at him. "I'm not mad I just wish you would tell me things, I know we haven't know each other for a long time, but I would really like for us to continue our relationship with honesty" he said, expecting the answer he got.
"What relationship?" Birdie asked feeling confused, he hadn't asked her out so she didn't consider them anything yet.
"What do you mean?" said Asher "You clearly said that I was your boyfriend in that interview yesterday". Now he was grinning from ear to ear seeing his little bird turn his favorite color from now on, red as a cherry.
