Currently standing on the dock waiting for the ship to arrive to take him over to Menagerie, Topaz looks around at the familiar docks. Suddenly he smells a familiar scent so he turns to find just who it belongs to. Looking around he spots a familiar woman with rounded ears and a tail.
Topaz: "Emma, is that you?"
Emma: "Topaz?! What are you doing here?"
Topaz: "I'm here on a mission. I'm not allowed to go into the specifics of it, but there have been a large number of grimm spotted in Menagerie and I'm going to check it out."
Emma: "Where is everyone else? I find it hard to believe that you are here alone."
Topaz: "Well, I am here alone, so believe it. Neo probably could use her semblance like the last time, but General Ironwood wanted me to go alone."
Emma: "So it's a dangerous mission then?"
Topaz: "More than likely. How have things been around here?"
Emma: "Pretty quiet to be honest. Not that I'm complaining, it's nice not having to be on guard at all times when you leave the house."
Topaz: "Well it looks like my ship is here, say hi to mom and dad and everyone else for me."
Emma: "Will do, take care."
Topaz: "You too Emma."
Boarding the ship Topaz looks around trying to see if Captain Ahab is in charge of the journey once again, only to find out he is not. The captain this time is a smaller woman with light blonde hair and an average build. Walking over to her Topaz greets her and shows her his Huntsman liscense.
Topaz: "Good afternoon ma'am. My name is Topaz and should we come across any trouble I'll do what I can to help."
????: "Did you say Topaz? Have you had trips with a captain that goes by Ahab?"
Topaz: "Yes, he's been a huge help for me. Do you know him?"
????: "Know him, that old man is my father. Oh, my name is August by the way."
Topaz: "Pleased to meet you August. I hope everything is well with Captain Ahab."
August: "The old man is fine. He's taking some time off to spend with my mom."
Topaz: "That's nice of him. I'll be doing the same thing after this current mission with my girlfriends"
August: "A big shot with missions, are we?"
Topaz: "Not really, just making a living."
August: "Sure thing Mr. Bigshot. Go get comfortable. We will be setting off shortly."
Topaz: "Sounds good."
Finding an open seat on the deck, Topaz relaxes and waits for the ship to begin to set off. After a little while the ship sets off and Topaz continues to relax until he is needed. A few hours into the journey, the ship suddenly jolts to the left. Standing and going to the rail to see what the cause is, Topaz is surprised to see a smaller ship connected with a pair large magnets. Topaz draws his spear and waits for them to try anything. Nearby he hears a familiar voice.
August: "All hands, we have pirates trying to board the ship. I want security personnel to prepare for battle, the usual crew to continue our course, and anyone else to protect the passengers. First Mate Briggs, you are in charge in here while I'm out."
Briggs: "Where are you going captain?"
August: "We luckily have a huntsman on board with us today. I'm going to try and find him and let him know what's happening."
Topaz: "Captain August, I'm right over here and already know. I'm ready for whatever they bring."
August: "Well that makes everything easier. Clear out these pirates, once that's done see me in the bridge. Everyone else get to your stations. No one is taking this ship."
Topaz: "Got it."
Seeing that the pirates have yet to make a move Topaz decides to make his own first. Jumping off the side of the ship, he lands on the deck of the smaller boat and looks at the pirates. Their eyes are all wide, not expecting anyone to make the first move.
Topaz: "So, who is in charge around here?"
????: "That would be me hotstuff."
Looking to where the voice came from, Topaz sees a beautiful woman with light blue hair and amber eyes sitting on the railing of the boat. The feature that Topaz notices the most on her are her ears, or what are normally considered ears on a human. For her though, there are two small fins poking out that are an amber like color, matching her eyes.
Topaz: "Hello there. I would like to kindly ask you to leave this ship alone."
????: "And if we decline?"
Topaz: "Well, if that's the case, I will have to take you down."
????: "Ara~ Ara~. I like you tough guy. My name is Myra, and I'm the captain of this fine vessel."
Topaz: "My name is Topaz, pleased to meet you Myra. So will you leave this ship alone?"
Myra: "Hmmm… nope."
Topaz: "And why may I ask?"
Myra: "Someone told me that this ship has a very important passenger on it."
Topaz: "Oh?"
Myra: "I know right! Apparently there is a girl on this ship that is the princess of some small faunus nation."
Topaz: "And let me guess, you were paid to capture her and take her back to wherever they tell you?"
Myra: "Yeah! Don't know why the Schnee Dust Company needs a rabbit faunus princes though."
Topaz: "When exactly did you get hired for this?"
Myra: "A couple of months ago. Why?"
Topaz: "Pffft. Jacques Schnee was arrested a couple of days ago."
Myra: "And?"
Topaz: "He's the one who hired you."
Myra: "Really, that's too bad he was arrested."
Topaz: "…"
????: "Umm, boss. I think he's trying to tell you we won't be paid for this."
Myra: "Is that so?"
Topaz: "Yep."
Myra: "Oh."
Topaz: "So, can you leave this ship alone now?"
Myra: "I guess."
Topaz: "Great."
Myra: "But I'm going with you."
Topaz: "Excuse you?"
Myra: "I said I'm going with you."
Topaz: "I'm sorry, but you can't."
Myra: "Why not?"
Topaz: "I'm on a mission right now. And if I'm being honest, it's overly dangerous."
Myra: "Am I not pretty enough for you?"
Topaz: "Where did that come from?!"
Myra: "No one has ever told me no before."
Topaz: "…really."
Myra: "And here you are telling me I can't go with you. Do you not swing this way, should I offer my crew to you instead?"
Topaz: "What? Gods no! I already have a couple of girlfriends whom I love dearly."
Myra: "So I really am not pretty enough to you."
Topaz: "Not at all what I said. You are very beautiful, yes. But, that doesn't matter to me. I'm telling you no because this mission that I'm on is dangerous, so I want to go through it alone so I don't put anyone else at risk."
Topaz watches her cheeks go red and feels trouble coming. Her crew that surrounds them all have wide eyes and open mouths.
Myra: "So you're saying that for my sake?"
Topaz: "Sure, I guess."
Myra: "…"
Topaz: "You ok?"
Myra: "I do."
Topaz: "What?"
Myra: "Didn't you just propose to me?"
Topaz: "Where on Remnant did you get a proposal out of my statement?"
Myra: "I-I see. I'm sorry for thinking so."
Topaz: "Look, I'm sorry if I got your hopes up or anything like that, but you should only accept a proposal from someone you truly love, not someone you literally just meant."
Myra: "Thank you, I will keep that in mind."
Topaz: "I'm going to head back, take care of yourself Myra."
Myra: "O-Ok, you too. Goodbye."
Climbing back up to side of the ship, and reboarding the ship, Topaz looks back down and watches Myra's ship head off in the other direction. Shaking his head at the strange interaction, Topaz makes his way towards the bridge and finds August speaking to her crew.
Topaz: "The pirates have been taken care of."
August: "That was probably the strangest interaction I've had with pirates. Do you know why they tried attacking us?"
Topaz: "Their captain said they were hired to kidnap a princess that was hidden as a passenger here on the ship."
August: "Princess? Did they mention any details."
Topaz: "She mentioned her being a rabbit faunus."
August: "I think I might know who they are talking about. Let's go pay her a visit quickly and warn her."
Topaz: "Sure thing, lead the way."
