Chapter 123 - Chapter 120:

A/N: This is it everyone, the official finale to the story. It's been a long road and I still can't believe how far we've come. Without the continuous support you've shown I don't know if I would have been able to get more than a handful of chapters out. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all once again. I will continue to attempt side chapters when possible, but as the main storyline goes, this is it. Have an amazing day everyone, Rhino out.

With the girls of team RWBY fighting against grimm clones of themselves and being stuck in a losing stalemate, Topaz faces off against Salem. Suddenly a bright flash blinds everyone, leaving the grimm clones frozen in stone. A hand is then gently placed on Topaz's shoulder as Salem jumps away. Looking over his shoulder Topaz can't help but smile.

Topaz: "About time you got here."

With a small smile Topaz's father stands with his hand on his shoulder, with his mother right next to him. Looking towards team RWBY he sees Tai and Summer standing with Raven.

Alex: "Sorry we're late."

Topaz: "I'd say you showed up at the perfect moment."

Salem: "You! You're supposed to be dead. That mission to Menagerie was supposed to be your last."

Sara: "Surprise~"

With another flash of light Salem cried out in pain, her skin smoking from the exposure to Sara's silver eyes. Topaz takes this opportunity to lunge towards her, slashing down to slice into her chest, only for Salem to thrown herself backwards, narrowly avoiding his attack. Salem raises her arms with a look of raw fury and panic on her face. Every grimm in the area begins rushing towards Topaz and his parents. Explosions stop the grimm in their place, tearing their numbers to shreds. Topaz sees the Atlas military along with varying airships from the different kingdoms of Remnant assisting.

Salem: "It's not possible. The kingdoms of Remnant would never work together to such an extent."

Topaz: "You're wrong about that Salem. You may have done whatever you could to separate us, but it took one message giving the world a common enemy to unite. So, in a way, its because of you that Remnant stands together."

Salem: "Why? After everything I've done to the world to keep you all separated, why work together?"

Topaz: "For the opposite reasoning that you are cursed to walk Remnant. The people fighting today aren't just fighting for themselves. They're fighting for their kids and friends. For the future generations to not have such an enemy."

Salem: "That's impossible. No one cares about another's life that much that they would throw their own away."

Topaz: "Really? Didn't you face off against the gods themselves after Ozma died? Weren't you the one to jump into the pool of darkness to try to kill yourself after you were cursed by the gods? The love you once felt for Ozma is the same a lot of the people here today feel for someone else."

Salem blinks for a couple of seconds, her face showing confusion, fear, hatred and many other varying emotions. After a few minutes of silence, she waves her hand gently, causing all the grimm in the area to slowly turn to dust.

Salem: "May I speak with him?"

Topaz: "With who?"

Salem: "With the boy holding the spirit of Ozma."

Topaz looks behind him and motions for Oscar to come over. He cautiously steps in front of Salem.

Salem: "Boy, may I speak with Ozma?"

Ozpin: "I am here."

Salem: "After all of this time we stand before each other and speak."

Ozpin: "How many centuries has it been? To think it would take a youthful mindset to show us both the errors of our ways."

Salem: "It would seem that in your attempt to stop me you ended up training some very resourceful students Ozma. I'm ready for my end, I admittedly have for a long time now."

Ozpin: "I feel the same. Living for such a long time has its advantages I'll admit, but the downfalls of it outweigh the good in my eyes."

?????: "It's good that you both see that."

?????: "Finally, we can remove our eyes from this world and let it function on its own."

Two new voices cause Topaz to jump and turn around. Standing behind him are the gods of light and dark. Topaz looks around and sees that everyone else around him aren't reacting to the two new arrivals.

God of Light: "Have no fear young Nemea, we have merely frozen the time around everyone but you and those two. It will resume once again after we leave."

Salem: "It's really you two. For so long I cursed your names for what you did to me, but now I realize what it was for."

God of Dark: "We know full well the length in which you cursed us witch. May I say that some of those were rather… creative."

Salem looks down in embarrassment at the unexpected compliment. Causing the others to chuckle.

Ozpin: "Does you two appearing mean that Salem and I are free of this curse?"

God of Light: "That depends on the two of you. Do you both wish to leave this land and move on?"

Ozpin: "I do. I know I failed at the task you both gave to me those many centuries ago, but I wish to finally be at peace once again."

Salem: "I've been taught the error of my thinking after all this time. I too wish to find peace and move on."

God of Light: "Very well, then with this I send you both to the land of peace."

The God of Light gently lays a hand on each of their shoulders, causing them both to glow for a moment. When the glow died down Oscar looks around in both curiosity and amazement while Salem's body begins to slowly turn to dust. Topaz could see both Salem and Ozma's spirits step behind the Gold of Light to the God of Dark who lightly taps each of their foreheads, sending them upwards to the sky. The God of Light then turns towards Topaz, giving him a gently smile.

God of Light: "Young Nemea, it was centuries ago that I first encountered your ancestors and saw you saving this world. I would tell you that they are proud of you, but judging on the spear in your hand you already know that."

Topaz: "Yes sir. I've been lucky enough to speak with them, and was guided by them as well."

God of Light: "Good. With Salem's curse coming to an end, the Queen of Grimm is no more, but the creatures of grimm will still remain. They're a necessary evil to keep humanity united without pushing for war for more resources. I am entrusting you and your friends to keep the world safe in our absence."

Topaz: "How sir? That seems like a monumental task to do."

God of Light: "You won't need to do much differently from what you have already. Continue the path of a huntsman, and later train the future to be huntsman to surpass your generation. We gods will not interfere with your world anymore."

God of Darkness: "I should warn you, with Salem's defeat there will be new grimm species thought long extinct that her rule was suppressing. I'm not too worried though, you will handle everything before you, won't you?"

Topaz: "Yes sir. We will do our bests to protect this peace."

God of Light: "We've said our parts. Now we shall return to the land of peace and watch over those that pass on and hope we don't meet again for many years."

God of Dark: "Farewell young one, and do not forget about some enemies you may not have seen in a while."

The two gods disappear in a flash of light and the world around Topaz resumes.

Alex: "Topaz? How did you get over there?"

Topaz: "It's a long story dad. The gods of old came by to pick up Salem and Ozma and have them finally pass on."

Sara: "So its over?"

Topaz: "For now. We still have Cinder to worry about, and the God of Dark warned about ancient grimm coming to because Salem is no more. Other than that its life as normal."

Topaz is suddenly tackled to the ground in a flash of different colors. Laughter sounds out from all around as team RWBY, JNPR and his team all pile on him in congratulations.

Ruby: "So what now?"

Topaz: "Now, we continue towards that fairytale dream we had when we were younger. We fight the grimm and protect the people."

Everyone: "Right."
