The Next Day.
[sfx: Sigh.]
"Could this day get any worse?" Saburo asks himself as he cools his body near the air conditioner while it's a very sunny day outside, in fact, too sunny.
If you put a single ice cube outside, it'll immediately melt and evaporate. It's just that hot, but as an alien it's easy to adapt to temperature, but Saburo isn't a fan of heat so he prefers it if he stays cool.
"Ugh." He groaned. "I wonder if Aiko is surviving this extreme heat right now, she'll die if she was just an ordinary kid."
Saburo complains more to himself as he stays close to the air conditioner that is keeping him cool.
…
[sfx: Sweet Melody.]
?
Saburo looks at the radio, and it's playing some scarce music. He forgot that he has the radio on.
-Ahoy kids! Is the sun ruining your day? Mouth dry? Feel like you couldn't cry anymore?-
Saburo looks around to make sure he isn't getting spied on before listening closely to the radio.
-Well you're in luck! If you are hearing this radio, then the grand opening of Mika's Ice Cream shop is just near you!-
"Ice Cream Shop?" Saburo asks himself as he thinks about it.
…
-The first 50 people to come to our store today, will have double the ice cream at the same price!-
>!!
… … …
Saburo after hearing that the first fifty people will receive double the ice cream they ordered, he can't just stand still in the air conditioner and wait for the sun to go down.
He wants something cold inside of him right now to deal with this massive heat wave! Also it's not everyday a new ice cream store is offering double the product for the same price!
Saburo keeps on running despite the deadly heat that is slowing him down.
Using his powers right now is probably not a good idea as he could accidentally duplicate right in front of someone that could report him to the authorities.
But the most obvious part that people can tell he's an alien, is that he's running super fast right now like an athlete running for a competition, but Saburo doesn't look like any athlete and he doesn't even look like he trained his legs to run, but oh well, it's super hot outside, so he doubts people will come out of their homes and-
>!
[sfx: Slash!]
Saburo quickly summons a clone and in precision switches with the clone.
He turns around in a hurry and sees the clone's face sliced into half as it disintegrates.
"W-what the hell?" Saburo with a shocked expression on his face. His senses detect something coming again and he quickly rolled away from the threat that just landed where he was.
Saburo looks at the threat itself only to see smoke, not until it starts to die down.
"I see… My theory was right all along. Not only that you are an alien-
[act: Stare.]
-you have the ability to clone yourself at will."
The mysterious stranger stands up as he wipes his sword of the blood of Saburo's clone that he sliced in half.
Saburo quickly gets up and not even a second he already has clones hidden around he place in case he needs an escape plan.
"Your power is extraordinary. I haven't seen any aliens like it. If I have to guess, there are clones around, yes?"
>!?
"H-how does this guy know my ability so well?! Is he just guessing or is he another alien with the power to know what power I have?!" He thought to himself but shook it out.
"No… If he was an alien, he could've dealt with me far easier. If he's holding a sword, and he's covered in some kind of armor, then he's nothing more than a human to me!"
Saburo stands up as he looks at the stranger who points his weapon at the young teenager.
Saburo just clenches his fist and makes a stance. The stranger is only human… If he does this right, he'll live!
…
…
…
"Now, come alien! Show me how you do it! Show your power like you showed those innocent people at that plaza!" The stranger screamed as he prepared to take his sword into battle once again.
"Aliens are mindless creature's when they're inside humans… They know nothing of anything but to serve their purpose."
"If I'm correct, this alien should just run at me right about-...
[sfx: Feet slide.]
"Now!"
…
Saburo looks like he's about to run to this stranger but he looks at him with confusion on his expression.
"What? I showed my power to the people of some plaza? What plaza??" He asked in genuine confusion. Saburo has no idea what this guy is talking about.
The stranger just now was baffled by Saburo's confusion.
"What…?" He said to himself.
"It spoke to me in confusion… that's not normal… if this was another alien it would've attacked me right away, but… this one is showing its concern, not even thinking of rushing first… ! I-is if trying to let my guard down?!"
The stranger kept his focus as he held his sword. "Stop baffling me alien! I know why you're in confusion! Is this an attempt to just stab me when I let me guard down, correct?!"
Saburo scratches his head. "I mean that's a good plan and all, but seriously, what do you mean by I showed my power to some plaza?"
Saburo looked at the stranger right in his eyes. "I was just on my way to get some ice cream, because this sun is literally going to kill me."
>!
-Im-that's not… This alien… has interests… I know aliens have goals, and they will kill anyone who dares to get in the way. But this confusion of his, his aura of innocence, and his desire… for ice cream?!!"
Saburo's senses were telling him that this guy was a threat, but looking at his face tells Saburo that he's just letting the sun melt him before anything else happens.
He can already tell this guy for some reason, can't fight him anymore.
"Well… okay then…" He thought to himself as he just walked backwards to take an alternative direction to the ice cream shop not until that stranger cried out to him.
"Hold on! We're not done here yet!!"
Saburo looks at him.
…
"I know you don't wanna fight, you came here looking all cool and about to kill me and stuff, to a weakling who got… I… I don't know! Jeez, what is wrong with the world today??" He complained as he looked at the guy again before he turned into dust.
"Please keep this a secret…" Is what the stranger heard before the dust of Saburo is scattered by the wind.
While the stranger suddenly had his eyes opened wide, till he realized a few seconds later his clone did the same thing, so that was his clone all along as well…
[sfx: Bang!]
"Damn that alien! All those years of believing and fighting these stupid exenterial beings, all went down because some stupid teenager alien went by and acted as a normal human being??"
He once again hits the floor with his own fist as he stands up. "I shouldn't give up because I'm baffled by his actions… I'm still going to cut his head off…"
Out of nowhere a little girl walks by the stranger. He looks at her and it looks to be a kindergartener.
"Oh that's right… I forgot all students are dismissed for the rest of the day."
He looks at the kid.
"But why is this one all alone by herself? She looks about 6-8 years old, and yet she's walking without even letting out a single tear calling out to her parents?"
…
Aiko stopped as she looked at the stranger with a curious and adorable face.
"Ehh? Is something wrong, mister?"
…
The strangers were having suspicious thoughts of this girl being an alien.
Only a ten year old would be able to walk all alone without adult supervision, but this girl is literally younger than any kid that is allowed to walk around without having eyes to be on her, and plus she is a kindergartener!
…
The stranger sighs and forgets about it and walks to what he heard is an ice cream shop. He's not here to weep all day about the situation he just faced.
He's got some unfinished business to do.
…
Aiko wonders what was that all about, but she just shrugged to herself and thinked it was just some weird guy being on the streets, like she used to see everyday.
She wonders what Saburo is doing right now, although she felt like he was here a few moments ago…
