Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 - Potions

< Lifestyle Quest : Learn Apothecary>

After Magnus left the meeting room, he immediately went to the nearest apothecary master. Accepting it would give a mission to create any potions. Once one succeeded in making a potion he would immediately learn apothecary.

As for how hard to finish it? Its d*mn easy, all you need to do is follow the system guide and Ta Da! You have your potion. However the hardest part is finding a formula, without a formula you can't craft even the most basic potion.

A lifestyle class, that has a close to none combat skills will have to complete a quest to get a single formula. As for how hard the quest is, Magnus he killed a Silver Tier boss for a small healing potion. That's how hard it is, so its very rare to see Lifestyle Class Apothecary early in game. People in both early and late stages of the game would badly need potions. Making Apothecary Class the most sought from both guilds and players.

Now there's already a couple who learned apothecary, as for they manage to finish the 'making a potion' quest they bought a mana potion formula. Its very accessible as every City would sell one. However there's currently none who managed to get a Small Healing Potion formula, well except for Magnus.

The reason is really simple, getting a healing formula would need one to finish a Silver Tier quest. Lifestyle Class don't usually go in groups, so teaming up to finish a quest is out of question. As for those who can finish a quest like that it would be guilds, and the quest would be difficult to find.

If Magnus didn't notice that the Orc is an NPC then he would definitely thought it would be a mini boss. That's what players thought when they've encountered the Orc Nurse NPC. Leaving no one, except Magnus, learned that they could get a formula quest from the Nurse.

Magnus immediately accepted the quest, he then went to the nearest cauldron and started to craft potions. His hands glowed red as he slowly process the ingredients.

After approximately two minutes he managed to craft a small healing potion.

"Small Healing Potion - Restores 10% health."

The description says the it could only restore 10% health, for mages it would be small but for tanks it significant enough to be a must-have. Especially in this continent where healers are rarely seen.

He then turned in the quest and he's now a certified [Apothecary - Novice], well that's not enough to be proud of, but its a start. He then went to there guild house and started crafting the potions.

Meanwhile Fiery Wing and the Elites, together with 500+ members are marching to the Mountains of Origins. Killing monsters as they head up. A few more minutes and they have reached the center of the mountain and started to search for the altar.

It was very excruciating, even though they have quite a lot of man power its not enough to occupy the center of the mountain. As a matter of a fact, the whole group only occupied a fraction of it. Not even a quarter.

Fortunately, they're lucky enough. After an extensive search that only last for 2 hours they finally found the altar.

It was flat black rock, circle in shape, at less than 60 square meter. In the middle, there's an arc mainly composed of rocks and at the side is a stand also made of rocks. Taking a close look at the stand, you could a small socket and it would perfectly fit with the Activation Stone.

A player approached it, as curiosity killed the cat that player shared the same fate. He touched the socket and the whole party immediately received a quest, a quest to find an Activation Stone, including Magnus.

When players is in a party and one accepted or activated a quest that could be completed in a group, every player in the party would receive the quest. Since all of them are in a party, everyone got the quest. But, Magnus already have an Activation Stone so they paid no attention to it instead they did what they're tasked for. 100 of them surrounded the area, while the rest fetch the ingredients for Magnus' potions.

...

On the Arena of Legends, Mad man also found a clue. They found an elderly and one of the bored player decided to ask for the history between the battle of Gods. Thus they obtained that the thing they might be looking for is in a mountain.

Though Magnus is a lucky person he's not the only one who is. He's just too lucky to be the first one to ever find the vital clue. If Magnus, a single person, could find the clue then so did a 5,000 man Guild.

And after searching for long enough they also found out about a mountain called Mountain of Origins. At first, it was only a speculation cause none really has an idea what mountain it is. But a quick witted person thought of an idea and voiced it out "I think if it would be a mountain we're searching for, there's a huge chance that it would be the Mountain of Origins. Since the mountain that was mentioned is where Roznok started to train his Godhood and also where the battle between Might and Magic officially started, then from the name itself it should be now called the Mountain of Origins."

After all of them heard this, they all went to think that this idea sure has a point. And then they searched in the forums for what the mountain looks like, then asked elderly for details of the mountain in their story. After they found out that the answer is vaguely identical, they immediately went to flatter that person. The girls even mentioned bearing his child and they'll agree for him to take no responsibility. Their Guild Master, Mad Man, promoted that person to a core member immediately.

And with that all the Guild members started to travel to the Mountain of Origins. Their journey would take utmost 3 days but given their number a day and a half should be enough. A sudden ardor of passion surged through the players as they hope that they would be the first to enter the dungeon. Well, they're not entirely excited because they would be the first to enter, but instead the rewards of it.

As long as you're in a party all of you would be rewarded if one enter the Dungeon. That is already said from the forums, for short it was intended to be a party-wide 'quest'.

...

After a few hours has passed and Magnus did nothing but craft potions. He was like robot, standing there straight for hours doing nothing but crafting potions. He didn't even spared time for sleep, he did everything to get all the possible time they could have worth it.

This alone explains how determined he is about the dungeon. His Guild and his income would rely on this Dungeon. Fame alone from the first kills is enough for the Guild to stand in the limelight for days, but fame won't attract pro players as they could get fame whenever they want.

What attracted players, especially professional one's, are rewards and benefits. Also all guilds, not a single one excluded, needs funds. In order for a guild to prosper one wouldn't just need manpower but also money for members to sustain. Of course some of the reason why Magnus established the guild is about money, but he won't leave his comrades half way through after he finished his personal goals.

As leader, it would be bad to leave everyone one's you achieve your own personal goal. Thus he planned everything out, the start would be monetizing this potion from outsiders and handing it out for 'free' for the members. This would be enough to tickle their greed for rewards and benefits.

He wouldn't exactly give the potions for free, instead he would sell them through Guild Points, fifty guild points for one potion and a maximum of five purchase each for now. Everytime one consumes a potion, one would need to wait for some time before one could consume another of the same potion. This also depends on the quality of potions, for example a Small Healing Potion would take 10 minutes before one could consume another while a Medium Healing Potion only takes 8 minutes to do so. Also some certain high tier potions doesn't have that inconvenience.

After Magnus crafted the 500th small potion his [Apothecary] reached beginner level. His efficiency also improved, before it would take at least 2 minutes to craft a single healing potion but now it would only take 1 and half a minute. Though the improvement isn't sky high it was still satisfying at the least.

Hours and hours have passed, Magnus just stayed at the lab making potions. While his Guild Members are leveling up, since the other 400+ members finished their task they was assigned a few high level players to deliver the items while the others started to kill monster.

It was quite peaceful, no troubles as of now has occurred. Everyone has leveled up and enjoying their time, chatting happily as they fought monsters. The monsters in the area is utmost Level 60, though it was hard to deal for everyone else's level, teaming up on one isn't much of a problem. Thus their level soared in no time, they've also got some good equipments.

A few more hours later, a group of five players from immortal Bloodline Sect are fighting a Level 60 mob at the edges of the mountain.

"Okay so here's the plan, since I'm the most agile one I would be responsible for kiting it. Everyone else will have to cast their long range attack until we take it down." a thief said, seemingly he's the leader of this group.

"Okay."

"Alright!"

"No problem."

Everyone agreed, no one doubted this thief's ability to plan. His IGN is 'Can't Touch This'. All of the players in IBS[1] guild are somekind of pro, as the Magnus' Elite already know their Guild Master's requirements they did their best to filter noobies.

Soon 'Can't Touch This' creep to the monster in Stealth while the 4 others are following closely[2], as he was about to use Backstab at the mob he found himself dead after suffering for rain of arrows. His group looked from where the arrows came from, they're immediately dumbfounded.

Crowds of players, from all different kinds of classes. Its like an army of warriors raiding an empire.

[ Author's Note - Hello guys, from now on I can't upload a chapter a day. I have a lot of things to do, I also have a job now which is taking care of farm animals in a 'barn'. I have little to no breaks, I could only write chapters every night. It would take approximately 2 hours for a chapter that is composed of 1800-2000 words for me, Idunno if that's slow or fast btw. The time I have every night is only 1 or half an hour, and sometimes I write before breakfast and sometimes finishes a chapter. But I would still try my best to upload 5 chapters a week. The sched would be Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; today is Tuesday here, I wasn't supposed to update but It doesn't feel right to notice you guys after I skipped a chapter. I'm really sorry, Its really tight here. To those who read this cr*appy story, thank you!]
