Chapter 2 - 2 - First Boss Kill

Magnus immediately Accepted the quest, from his understanding Chain Quests is one of the most profitable out of all quests. But its a hard to find quest, so not all players encounters one.

In this situation luck certainly played a huge part. There's 1% percent chance of encountering this old man and an even lower chance of receiving a quest from him.

But Magnus has accumulated enough karma points before he died in his last life so his quite lucky.

"Young Man, since you insisted on helping me I will thank advantage of it." chuckled the old man and then gave his fishing pole and 2 silvers to Magnus. "Get this to the smithy for me, I shall be waiting at the lake for you and maybe I can teach you a thing or two in fishing"

Magnus nodded and said "Sure." he then check the stats of the fishing pole.

"Moonlight Fishing Pole (Legendary) - (Quest Item)"

'Hmm seems like I can't check it out.'

Since he already accepted the quest Magnus rushed to the smithy. As he was heading to the smithy, he saw crowds of player beating wild dogs. This is afterall his very first time playing a game so was intrigued and again got distracted.

He approached a wild dog and looked at its stats.

Wild Dog Level 1 (Bronze Tier)

HP-70

MP-30

Attack - 8-10

According to the system, the level tiers of the monster is divided by 7 tiers( Bronze Tier, Iron Tier, Silver Tier, Gold Tier, Obsidian Tier, Platinum Tier, and lastly Sacred Tier) while the drops has the same division but with an extra Legendary Tier.

If an Item or monster is a Level 100 Bronze Tier it's still not comparable to Level 1 Iron Tier in terms of potential and value. Naturally.

After getting into a certain distance Magnus immediately draw its agro and the Wild Dog fearlessly pounced on Magnus despite his size.

But as a Martial Artists he wouldn't even let it touch a single hair off him, so he stepped aside evading its attack and using [Frontal Kick] then hacking its neck before the stun worn out.

'Huh? Strange? Why it is so easy? Others seems having a hard time yet I killed it easily.'

As he was bewildered by this, the other players that witnessed it is also surprised.

"WTF? How did he do that? Two hits!"

"Yeah, he doesn't have any equipment on him. He's even a Pugilist, how could he deal such damage? Even I, a mage takes 3 skill and do atleast a basic attack to finish one."

"Idiots, of course he can two hits it. He's probably at least 5 levels ahead of you. Look at your level!"

"Probably, but its just a few minutes after the game started. He's probably one of those hardcore grinders."

"Scary."

After hearing their conversation, Magnus is much more shocked because he's still level 1. This is even his first kill. He then checked his Battle Log.

[Frontal Kick] - 100% Perfection, 100% Vital Accuracy - 300% Damage (46), Stun Effect triggered (1s)

[Normal Attack] - 120% Perfection, 100% Vital Accuracy - 320% Damage (50 - True damage)

'Perfection and Vital Accuracy? For Perfection I think its about the detection of flaw in my attack, since I'm a Martial Artist the system evaluated it as Perfect even beyond. As for Vital Accuracy its about hitting the Vital Points. Excellent! Then I won't have any disadvantages even when picking this low stats class. It would be even better if I apply all I learned instead of casually fighting.'

Magnus then farmed till he got 3 levels up putting him in Level 4. He doesn't even want to stop but he remembered his quest and walked there while killing some dogs on the way.

The smithy is quite crowded by players, specifically, those who pick lifestyle class. As those players, almost all of them is just a casual player or doesn't have skills in fighting. Every players who chooses Lifestyle class won't be considered a fighters so NPC's won't usually give them quest that includes fighting.

Basically, the village chief could have given Magnus a quest even him having Lifestyle as a class. But Magnus didn't even insist that he could fight as he was some sort of noob.

Magnus walked into one of the forgeries and asked the NPC.

"Senior, could I bother you for a moment. Can fixed this Fishing Pole for the price of 2 silvers?"

The mustached NPC shouted "OF COURSE NOT! It's a Legendary Class Weapon, it would be atleast 10 Gold coins!"

"But my Master told me to approach you and hand this to you."

The blacksmith then looked at the Fishing Pole and Magnus's face with a frown. Staring blankly, with shocked expression. He said "Is your Master the Victor the Fisherman?"

"Uhm, yeah!"

If the Master is considered a Legendary existence then the disciple isn't something to be looked down. Being trained by a renown Master isn't something anyone can achieve.

"Oh! Young Hero, please excuse my manners. About the this pole the fee is on the house!"

This quite shocked Magnus, the situation completely turns 180. From a glare to admiration. His "Master" certainly has a lot of reputation.

"Uh, Young Hero can I request something?"

"Sure." Magnus nodded.

"My hammer is stolen by a Arthur a Thief, and that is my special hammer which I use to repair things especially this kind of high level weapon. I hope you could fetch it for me?"

"Okay."

Fortunately, Arthur the Bandit has a base nearby. The mobs their is at Level 12-20, which is supposed to be a Level 12 farming zone. But Magnus, a level 4 Pugilist with lower stats than normal players, didn't even put them in his eyes as he casually strolled his way there.

While Magnus is walking there he was of course grinding along the way. After using all his experience he could one hit kill those Level 5 monster dealing enormous damage. True damage is the best.

....

As he reach at the bandits stronghold he was already at Level 8. At the distance he saw bandits wearing black formed in groups. Some patrolling at the area, some playing cards, some chatting and laughing, and some is doing tasks such as cleaning or polishing their weapons.

'This is good, I remember wiping an entire clan when I was 26. The only difference is I'm much slower... so it should take around two hours if they don't get reinforcements as I attack.'

Magnus knows his limits as well, yes he can wipe out a clan full of elite warriors but that was when he was much stronger. Although he's opponents now is just AIs, he still didn't look down on them. On his level of expertise, his opponent should be called annoying bees, not ants at the least.

As the seven Level 12 patrols spotted him they immediately surround Magnus and readied their daggers to pounced on him.

Stab, Slash, Stab, Slash, Stab, Slash. All of their attacks is useless as Magnus skillfully evaded them and used [Frontal Kick] to one them and punch it slightly sideways at the ribs dealing huge damage .

After that he immediately evaded another round of attacks and killed two of them leaving only four which didn't took long for him to finish them. As lucky as Magnus was one of the mobs a dropped a rare equipment.

---

"Bandit Mask(Special Class)

+20 AGI

[Special Effect - Conceal] - Can hide one's name, level, and status. (Effective to both Players and NPC). No cooldown."

---

'Hmm, a rare drop? Special Class items isn't even included in the forums. What great luck I have.'

After that he immediately equipped the mask and punched the air to try out his improved speed.

'Hehe... Much faster now. 45 minutes to clear this stronghold isn't a problem at all.'

Magnus then stride inside the stronghold killing everyone in sight without letting them touch a single hair from him. Thirty minutes later he levelled up to Level 12 and heard a shout.

"B*stard! How dare kill my underlings under my nose!"

A huge burly man in black with an axe came out of nowhere and appeared in front of him.

"Arthur the Bandit (Iron Tier) Level 25 Boss.

HP- 10,000

MP - 2,000

Attack - 400-500

[Skills] - Earth Smash, Cleave, Hide"

'Why does this Bandit resembles my Landlord? Strange.' Magnus thought.

"Oh? That's your underlings? Why are they so weak? Do you know the saying 'birds of the same feather flock together'? Seems like your weak as well." Magnus replied with a snort.

"Arrogance! Let me show you what real strength is!"

Arthur immediately used his skill [Earth Smash] on Magnus. Although he deals huge damage that is only if it could hit. With Magnus senses alone, even with his eyes close he could dodge this blunt attack.

Before it could even hit, Magnus already step aside and deliver a [Frontal Kick] at Arthur's face. Triggering the stun, he immediately followed it with an another kick to the ribs and a punch to the abdomen.

Immediately lowering Arthur's hit points by tenths. As a Arthur is a boss he have bit of consciousness as well. After knowing that his opponent could deal huge damage he immediately used [Hide] and turned invisible before taking steps back.

"Hmmp!" Magnus sneered. Of course Magnus could not see him at all, but with Magnus's acute senses Arthur's presence didn't completely disappeared. He then throw another kick to reveal his opponent.

After a few rounds beatings Arthur is down to the last thousand hit points. He desperately used [Hide] and [Cleave] repeatedly without a pause, hoping that he could at least hit his opponent once.

But Magnus is agile enough to dodge in just a hairs width every attack. Actually, Magnus is much slower than Arthur but as Magnus practices Martial Arts he can predict when and where Arthur would strike thus making decisions slightly earlier before the attacks could hit.

Soon Magnus finally finished the fight. The whole fight just took mereley five minutes, thus clearing the whole stronghold within thirty-five minutes. Faster than his expectations.
