"... I've been here my whole life."
He spoke in a nonchalant tone.
My eyes immediately went wide at his shocking statement.
"You mean--"
"Yeah. I was born here and I'm going to die in the same place I was created. So don't bother me."
He warned me to leave. His tone turned slightly threatening at the end of his sentence.
I wasn't bothered by his tone at the slightest and merely narrowed my eyes at him as I sighed deeply before opening my mouth and asked,
".. Have you ever seen the sun before?"
"No."
He immediately answered my question with a short word as he was not interested in this conversation.
I stayed quiet afterward.
My eyes were staring at him willingly to know what he experiences around him more as my questions continued towards him.
".. See the sky at least?"
"No."
".. Have you seen what the reality of the surface is?"
"No."
"Do you want to see it?"
"I do not. Leave me alone."
I looked at him while standing in my place.
