Chapter 103 - Turning Point, Part 4

Keto's pov

I was the earliest one to arrive at the West Bridge. The next to show up were Lexi and Jin. They still had that look on their faces when they see me around. It was annoying, but I can bear with it.

They started talking while we were on the wait for the others. "…say, do you know what's their gang name? I think Ren never mentioned it." Lexi asked.

"Yeah, we never heard of their name either. All we know is that they're a new group trying to take over our turf. There were lots of them the other day, trying to mess with our stuff."

Lexi cracked his neck and knuckles. "Anyway, this is good for me. I want to test out some of the new moves I learned."

"What's so new about punching and kicking? No matter what stylish moves you do, it's all the same."

"Nuh-uh, it makes you look way more cooler!"

"Are you a fucking kid?"

"Whatever. I'm gonna do what I wanna do." And they just kept talking out of boredom, not ever including me in their conversation.

We waited for a damn while, and it was still just the three of us. I knew I was too early, so I should've come a little late. When I started walking away, that's when they paid attention to me. "And where do you think you're going?" Jin asked.

"I'm gonna go for a little walk and come back later." I didn't want to stick around with these jerks.

"Don't even think about it, I bet you'll ditch us if you do." Jin smirked as he approached me and weighted his elbow on my shoulder. "Considering what happened last time, you must be having a hard time facing everyone. Am I right?"

"No, I'm not going to run away!—"

"Just stay, Keith. You're still the second division leader, so you've gotta be responsible for your role in the gang." Jin added.

This jerks really likes picking on me. "Fine." Though I know well that I shouldn't mess with them. Those who have a higher rank than me is always known to be better and stronger.

"Good boy." Jin laughed, treating me like an obedient pet. Bastard.

Then all of a sudden, Jin's phone rang. He answered it as soon as he can, and it turns out to be Ren. "Hey, what's taking you so long?" He asked.

[Jin, there's something I need you to do.]

"Ha? Did the plan change?"

[Yeah, it definitely did.—] The gang fight's not going to happen?! What on earth just happened?! [—I'm going to send you an address, and I need you to come there immediately.]

"Alright, but tell me what's going on?"

[I don't have time to explain. Just try to make it to the location as soon as you can. Take the other heads with you.]

"Should I bring the whole ga—"

[No. No, don't. Just you and the division leaders. Got it?]

"O-Okay." The call ended so quickly. Hearing the boss like that was nerve-wrecking. "We need to move. Now." Jin told us.

"What about Ash and Damien? Didn't he said to bring them too?" I told him.

"There's no time for that!" Jin feels bad about this situation—we all do. "We need to get there as soon as we can, I have a bad feeling that the boss is in danger."

We got on the move and quickly raced to the place that Ren told us about. I thought we'll be getting the sight of Ren when we arrive, but unfortunately, there was only abandoned shipping containers. "Where the hell is the b—" Jin covered my mouth and pulled us to a corner as if to hide from something.

"Dude, what the hell?" I whispered.

"What's going on?" Lexi was just as confused as I am.

"Check the place out. Keep your heads down, and don't make any sound." Jin made us take another peek at the place and pointed at some of the guys who were there. We didn't notice there were people  here. "Something similar happened before, and I bet you know of this Keto."

Judging from how things appear, I can agree with Jin. "You think the boss got kidnapped by these bastards?"

"Exactly."

Lexi gasped as he understood the situation.

"This is a trap…" he was unsure, but that's what I think too. "…those guys are luring us in, using Ren as bait."

"What the fuck do they want from us?!" Lexi loudly whispered.

"Who even are they? We don't even know these damn assholes." I added.

"I have no clue either. But right now, Ren needs our help. We need to get him out of this damn place." The situation weight more heavier than I thought. Observing the surroundings, it's easy to get caught at the place we're hiding.

"Shit, what do we do?!" I can't help but panic over this.

"Shut it, Keto! I'm thinking of a plan, and what I need you guys to do is shut the fuck up while I'm at it!" It can be seen on his face that he's having a hard time over this too.

Lexi and I can't do shit and just had to rely on our vice-commander.

"Dude, they might kill the boss if we take too much fucking time." Lexi said.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. So here's the plan so far. We need someone who can lure some of the guys over there. Take them some place far as possible. That way, I'd be able to search for Ren with less people on the way." It's obvious that Lexi and I will be the bait. But I'm not sure about this.

"Hey, do you think they're armed?" I'm getting the feeling that we're not dealing with ordinary folks here.

"…who knows." Well shit.

"This is too risky, I don't think this is a good plan—" Lexi cuts me off and looked irritated. "Do you got a better fucking plan then? If the boss won't make it back alive, then it's over for the gang!"

Damn it, this day fucking sucks.
