The plan is simple.
All that he must do is to apologize. Though from the looks of it, it'll take forever if Keto keeps acting like this. "I'm so… I'm s-sur… S-Sorr… shit, I don't want to do this anymore."
"The word is 'sorry'! Sor-ry. What's so hard about pronouncing such a simple word!?"
"It may be easy for you, but not me!" He complained.
"Dang, you're hopeless."
"Quit being so mean dumbass!" Keto unexpectedly beat me on the head. "Aw! Still so violent. You gotta control that anger of yours man!"
"Can't help it, my hand automatically hits annoying idiots."
"You calling me an idiot!?"
He snickered and patted my back. "Pff, yeah." Instead of getting mad, I was pleased to see him smile like he used to.
"Tsk. Just keep practicing. You'll be able to do it right eventually."
"Right, though I think I'll do it by myself later…" he said and patted my hair (my wig to be exact) like a pet dog or something. "…we should get back to class now."
It made me flinch by how he said that. I'm still not used to this kind of Keto.
"What?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh n-nothing." Better not tell him about it, he might lose interest being a good student again.
It took Keto a few days to give an apology, and the guys were still hating on him. But I just know that they can forgive the poor guy, they're nice people after all.
As Keto stands infront of all of us, he looked nervous and kept glancing at me. "What's he doing here?" Nay was already irritated at the sight of him.
"He looks like he have something to say, why don't we hear him out?" Ian's nice enough to say that.
Then I gave Keto a small nod as a signal to start. "…err… about Jeiro. I heard he… kept picking on you." Keto even looked at Ace, which was the wrong person.
I almost even did a facepalm on him. It's hilarious, but it won't be good to laugh right now.
"I believe you got the wrong person." Ace laughed awkwardly and pointed to Ian.
Keto had his eyes open wide with his face turning red in embarassment. Damn, I never imagined I'll be seeing him act like this. "Oh… uhm. So yeah, about Jeiro. I a-apologize on his behalf for all the things he did to you."
Now that's my boy!!
Everyone at the table was surprised. Well, that's a natural reaction. Keto used to act so all high and mighty, looking down on others like their garbage. So it was impossible to see that kind of person to apologize like this.
"Eh… did I hear that right?" Ian was in shock the most.
"I-I said I'm sorry for what Jeiro did… a-and I'm also sorry for not doing anything about it before." Keto even bowed down and put them in more shock.
They seem to be convinced with his apology, except for one person. He hates Keto the most. "No way you're apologizing this easily! You're plotting something, aren't you? Well, too bad! You can't fool me! A gangster like you would never—mmm!?"
I covered Nay's mouth before he can say something even more awful.
"So, how about it Ian?" This apology isn't meant for Nay anyway, it's for the victim of Jeiro's bullying which is Ian.
Ian became a little jittered, though he was able to smile at Keto. "…I can accept the apology. A-Also, I really think that Keto doesn't have anything to do with it. It's Jeiro who I'm upset with, but err… anyway, it's alright. I'm not mad at you or anything."
"O-Oh… that's cool." Keto looks happy to hear that.
Nay was furious, but he couldn't do anything now that Ian forgave Keto. "Tsk." He rolls his eyes at Keto.
"Oh come on now, Nay. You don't really have to keep any grudges, isn't everything alright now?" I whispered to him.
"I know." That's what he say, but he clearly still doesn't like Keto.
"How about you eat lunch with us, Keto?" Ace invited, and Keto joined without hesitating. It was all a bit awkward at first, but he fitted in right away. Though Nay is still bitter with Keto, I think they'll get along just fine if they hang out more in the future.
And seeing Keto happy, I can tell that he's getting better by the day. I hope things become better from here.
"…hmm, what are you smiling about Lynn?" My thoughts about Keto were cut off as Cain spoke.
Right, we were having some snacks at a cafe. It just feels so nice that nothing wrong is happening, and I get to actually in a good mood. "Err, I was think about a friend."
"A friend, huh. Did something good happened?"
"Y-Yeah…" didn't think he'd be interested to know about it. "…that friend of mine used to be so mean and violent all the time. But lately he's becoming a little nicer. He's really improving for the better, so I'm kinda happy for him."
Cain got a little dazed.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked.
He gave a half smile as he snapped out of it. "Ah! Yeah, yeah… I mean, I'm fine."
"Really?" I wasn't fully convinced.
Cain chuckled and had his hand on the back of his head. "Well yeah, really. I just didn't expect that your friend is a… guy."
"What?! I-It's not what you think, he's just a friend." Why is he suddenly like this!?
"Yeah a-ahahaha. It's not a problem." But why does it feel like it 'is' a problem!?
