Chapter 12 - The Last Favor, Part 2

While stretching my arms out, I can't help but feel stupid about doing Lyde another favor. Why should I even listen to him?! It's all his fault anyway… but I do kinda pity him for being that stupid.

"Fine, let's get to our first step." I brought out some paper and pens to do an outline for this. Everything should be planned thoroughly, if not, I'll die for real this time. "Okay, first of all, I'm marking Keto as a dangerous foe." I drew some figure that resembled him and marked him with a cross.

"Fighting him is a no-no." Next, I drew the other guy that Keto hangs out with the other. I also crossed him out, I got to avoid this one so there would be less trouble.

"Okay, that's our first step! No fighting these people. Now for the next step…" as I wrote the words on paper, I just realized that I never felt so hopeless before until now.

'Sincerely apologize and beg for freedom.' What the heck!?

"Hah!" I crumpled the paper and blindly threw it away. "I hate this shit." I cried at a corner as I feel sorry for myself. Maybe I'm just as stupid as Lyde? But… that's just unacceptable!

I blew my nose on the random cloth on the floor and calmed myself down. I know it's kind of my fault for being too cool that time, if I didn't made myself cool when I fought with Jeiro then maybe Keto wouldn't be interested in me. But it's really impossible not to be one, I'm a natural cool character.

"Uuuugh, I'm gonna die at this rate." I really can't think of any plan to get rid of him.

"…maybe I should just go with the apology plan."

"Aaaaahhh! What am I thinking!?" Why am I being so stupid now?! Of all times, it had to be today?! So unfair.

I sniffed and fixed myself up. Maybe I should just get a little fresh air, then some good idea might come to mind. "Yeah, I'll go with that." I told myself.

And as I got out of the house, I decided that I'll take a walk at the Green Fields Park. It's been quite a while since I visited that place. I wonder if the flowers there still looks the same.

When I arrived at the park, there were a lot of people hanging out there. I smiled seeing how lively the place is. "This park is famous for its pretty garden after all." I muttered. I reached my hands on the bush of little blue flowers and softly touched each of them as I walk slowly.

"Still pretty as ever!" I just love the sight of this flowers.

"I know right?" It startled me when some random dude talked to me. He was infront of me admiring the small pretty blue flowers. "These flowers are called hydrangea, it can be in white or pink but blue is the best color for these flowers."

"O-Oh…" He must be a flower enthusiast.

"Ah, I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I just heard you admire these flowers, so I can't help but agree with you." He even smiled in an apologetic way and had his hand scratching on his head. What a goof, but he looks really nice.

"It's fine. Atleast I got to know what these flowers are called, I often call it small pretty blue flowers when I admire it." I blushed as he laughs cutely, he even hid his smile with his left hand.

"I see, if you don't mind, I can teach you the names of the flowers you like here." Now that's a generous offer

"Really?" Now I kinda feel shy with people this kind. It's rare for me to find people like this one.  "I don't mind…" I muttered.

"Cool, let's take a walk over there!" He pointed at the best place to view flowers in this park. While we were on our way, I finally got to know his name. "By the way, I'm Cain. And you?"

"The name's Lynn." I answered, giving a half smile. "Uhm. Are you some florist or something?"

"Not really, I just like flowers." He chuckled. "What about you?"

"Oh, uhm, I just like flowers too. But probably not as much as you." I said.

"That's cool, atleast you know how to appreciate it's beauty." As we made it to the flower viewing zone, he taught me a lot about the names of every flower we see. He also tells me what each means and even make joke about it.

…damn, I'm kinda getting bored here. And it feels like it'll get really awkward later with a guy like this.

"Wooow, that's a great name." Shit, I should've declined his offer.

"Yeah! It really is." This flower maniac sure gets annoying. "So Lynn, I'm just wondering… what made you come here? Were you really here to view flowers?" AH! FINALLY, SOMETHING NOT RELATED TO FLOWERS!

"Well, I wanted to feel refreshed by looking at pretty flowers—" but instead I wasted time listening to useless information. "—because I'm really bothered by something recently. I don't know what I should exactly do about it."

"Ahh, I see. You can always just tell someone about your problems, it'll help ease the stress." He advised.

"Hmmm… if you were me Cain, how would you reject an offer that is forced on you?" I asked. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some suggestions from others.

"Oh. Are you trying to reject an admirer?" He grins and even pokes me with his elbow on the arm like a teasing friend.

"Nah. It's just as it is. So, what would you do?"

"Is that so… maybe I'll do what I feel is the right thing to do." To do what you feel is right… not a bad idea, but it's not helpful enough. I sighed and just smiled back at him.

"Thanks." I told Cain.

"No need to thank me, I should be the one thanking you for talking to me even though I'm boring as heck." He stated. I felt embarassed when I realized that I might have been too obvious about getting bored with him. "A-Ah no! You weren't boring, I—"

"It's fine, really." He said while ruffling with my hair. "People also don't want to hang out with me, you know…" Cain removes his nerdy glasses and brushes his messy hair to the back of his head, revealing a cool scythe tattoo on his neck. "…I mean, who would be friends with a bad guy like me?" His jolly mood suddenly turns a bit sad.

"Huh?… you don't seem bad though. You're nice to me so I don't really see you as a bad guy. Plus, you look way more better without the glasses." I even gave him a thumbs up.

His straight lips curves up as I told him that. "You're not so bad yourself, Lynn hahaha."

"I know." I agreed with a hair flip.

"Say, do you want to get some—"

"Anyways, I got to go now. I still have stuff to do." I waved good bye and start walking away. Cain just sighs and waves right back at me. "Sure. I'll see you around Lynn!"…hell no. I don't want to get involve with another delinquent again.
