Riyana gasped as she was being thrust forwards harshly. She felt pain seeping through each and every cell in her body. She stumbled trying to regain her balance and shook her head to get rid of the insistent buzzing in it. Seeing that its not helping she sat down on the ground clutching her head .This posture helped her to relax her body as she steadied her erratic breathing.
She opened her eyes and was surprised to find herself in the middle of a vast jungle, she frowned not being able to recollect how she ended up here and then her memories came clashing down. She is in Fidens territory and had found her mate, whom she rejected, the one who denied her rejection.
She searched for her mate, a known fear gripping her.
"Asher", she called out multiple times but the chirping of the birds and rustling of leaves were the only sound that greeted her in reply.
Riyana inhaled deeply trying to get a wisp of her mate's scent but couldn't. She sighed wearily, the fear stricken, shocked irises of her mate was etched in her memory. It is not letting her to be at ease, she had to find him. She paused to take a better look at her surroundings, the forest was much denser and the trees were also looking different, they are not native to the territory and it was dry, there were no trace of wetness. As far as she could remember it was raining heavily before she passed out.
"Oh Goddess, for how long have I been out cold "
She quickly checked her watch mentally patting her back to get a waterproof one well most of the watches in the market now are waterproof, the time is around eight forty five and it was also showing the same date, the dinner started around eight o'clock, exactly when the hell broke loose.
The princess raked her mind trying to decipher what could this possibly mean. She gasped as the realization hit her, she was not in Fidens anymore .She was teleported to this unknown place because no one could have kidnapped her and brought here in such a short amount of time when her Alpha mate was by her side, rejected or not she was still his mate. It is impossible for a werewolf to teleport on its own, the only supernatural who has the ability to practice teleportation are highly powerful sorcerers or any gifted one. She is well aware of herself to know that she does not possess any such gifts and the iron clad pact between the supernaturals ensures that a sorcerer would not perform magic on her without her permission, and she had also not meddled with any of their business. And it leaves her with the last and highly possible mean or reason as to why she is stuck up in the middle of no where, the Luna. Her mate had angered the Goddess by denying the rejection.
She should be feeling afraid now, that was the most rational feeling anybody would have in this kind of situation , but she was feeling oddly relieved knowing that her mate is safe back there in his territory. The Goddess's anger would only be directed towards her as she was the one who had rejected their bond; he was only trying to save it by denying. Perhaps not a very smart move on his side, arrogant Alpha.
-So you are very down to earth and lovey dovey ,the first words you uttered to our mate was the recital of rejection, remember Ms.Humble-
"This is not the perfect time to go all bitchy on me Ira, we are now stuck in this mess and we have get out of this as soon as we can, and you are totally not helping it.", she chided her wolf, even though Riyana knew that Ira was right to some extent and her anger is justified she didn't see any point in apologizing to someone who is her alter ego, they both knew why she had rejected her mate. I t was the right thing to do.
-But still you could have done it in a better manner-, Ira argued back determined to prove her point.
Riyana could understand where she is coming from, and the feelings were mutual, they both wished to spend a little more time with their mate and probably make this a little more less hurtful. But who was she kidding the more time she spends with her mate, getting to know him the more it would have hurt them later.
"Better? she asked her wolf back mockingly.
"Incase you have forgotten Ira ,I rejected him, I was not giving him his dream proposal for Goddess's sake and this is not some dramatic soap opera to have everything well scripted before hand."
Ira didn't reply back to her, and she was more than thankful for that, even though she loves her wolf very much it becomes hard at times like this to handle. She is the one mirroring the very emotions that Riyana desperately wants to push back
Sighing she stripped out of her wet clothing and tucked it away safely on a bark and shifted into her wolf form, letting Ira take complete control of their body. If she was going to spend the night in the dense forest it is better to do it in her wolf form. Even with her high defined vision it is not safe to navigate through these woods in night time, she has to wait till morning.
When her mate denied her rejection, she knew for sure that the Luna's intervention will definitely be there, Denial has never occurred before in their history so there are some people out there who think that this is just a myth. But the werewolves themselves were living proof of 'myths' so she knew better than to think about it that way.
The thing that is currently bothering her was the suspense, so far she has not been harmed in any way other than being teleported into Goddess knows what, and doesn't know what the Luna has planned for her.
The worst possibilities known to her are now ruled out, she has not lost her wolf or her life, not yet cursed into the demi form and her mate bond is not broken. She snorts as she thinks about that , off course the Luna would not break her mate bond, how would getting relieved of a bond that you do not desire be a punishment.
Since nothing that she anticipated had happened so far, Riyana concluded that the Luna has planned something grand for her, now all she can do is rest in peace if available. Hopefully not forever.
