Upon arriving at the warehouse, the group of bandits and the local gang, were suddenly alerted as the doors began to open.
"Everyone get ready" Fin yelled
"I knew it, It's a trap, Let's kill this Fucker" Bosh yells pulling out two daggers.
The doors continued to open as, the group began to unsheathe their swords, preparing themselves for what's to come, only to be met by silence and the dark interior of the warehouse.
"What's happing? why aren't they attacking?" Smith asks, with alertness in his voice.
"Watch out someone's coming" Fin yells, sensing a figure walk towards them.
"Who is it" smith asks.
"Can't tell, i don't sense any build up of mana so I don't think they're preparing to attack us" Fin replies, a cold sweat dripping down his face.
"Good evening gentlemen, thank you for coming tonight" The man says, his face covered with a mask, wearing a butlers suit.
"Who are you?" Smith asks, still alert and not letting his guard down, By the looks of it this mysterious figure looks harmless, but he is still warry of under estimating this man.
"Who I am is not of importance, but who I serve does" the Masked Man replies, courteously with a bow.
"Are you talking about the Gloved man? is that who you work for?" Fin asks, lowering his sword, "What does he want with us? and why doesn't he come out to meet us?".
"Oh the Master is most definitely here, I am just here to guide all of you to meet him, Please come this way, and you can keep your weapons, The master says so" says the Mysterious Butler as he turns around and walks deeper into the warehouse.
"Should we follow him?" Bosh asks.
"Well we're already here so we have no choice" Fin replies, sheathing his sword. Walking after the Mysterious man and the others do the same and follows after him.
It was dark but now as much until the Butler stops and tells them to remain calm as a sudden burst of light shines on the group.
"Argh" they all groan and grimace as they tried to cover their eyes from the bright lights.
"What the hell is going on" one of the men in the group says followed by more complains.
"I apologize about that but you may open your eyes now" the Butler says facing them.
Upon opening their eyes they were finally realized that their were people around them, covered from head to toe in black cloaks, and all wearing a sort of mask, with a grotesques and scary expressions (Mempo - a face guard, worn by the samurai).
Fin was the first to notice them and began to scan them with magic, Noticing that non of the masked figures had little traces of mana, but he still couldn't get an uncomfortable feeling off his chest that's telling him to get ready to escape.
"The master is unimpressed but is interested with both of your groups, and would like to propose a partnership with both of your groups" The butler says.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean" Bosh said angrily drawing his weapon, his entourage followed suit. "Unimpressed my ass, tell him to come out and face me if he's got the balls" That caused a reaction in both parties, laughing and sly remarks.
While all this is happening Fin noticed that the figures with masks had began to move. Their eyes hidden under their masks shone a bright red glow.
Soon the others began to notice as well, the laughter soon went away, replaced with shuffling footsteps, as they began to get in position.
Then the Butler snapped his fingers and the Figures in masks stopped in their tracks, still clutching their weapons.
The groups of bandits were prepared for a fight but when they noticed the Figures stop, they let out a sigh of relief.
Then John the Butler clapped his hands and two masked men came out of the shadows on the warehouse, carrying a box.
Reaching the group they both opened their boxes, revealing silver decorative necklaces.
"The master does not wish any violent interactions with any of you, that is why he has brought you here, bearing gifts as a sign of peace, Put them on the ground" John said to the two masked men who do so, walking back into the shadows.
The group of bandits were cautious at first, their skeptical mood, soo became one of curiosity, after seeing the shine of the necklaces. Soon they all surounded the box, grabbing a necklace or two, wearing then and stuffing them in their pockets, Bosh grabs a handful, and shoves it in his breast pocket, and wears one around his neck.
Fin picks up a Trinket, looking it over, seeing strange inscriptions on them but no traces of mana. seeing that it was relatively safe he decides to take on too.
"What kind of partnership?" Fin asked after grabbing a trinket, only stuffing on in his back pocket.
"A beneficial one, that both makes you rich all in return for loyalty and fealty to my master" John said also brushing off what happened away, focusing on fins questions.
"Haha what does he know about what we do?" Bosh said, still cocky and proud but a hint of restraint in his voice
"The master is very well aware of what you all do and would like to make a contract with all of you" John said.
"Alright let's hear it" fin replied.
"The master would like to form a mutual agreement, with the leaders of both of your respective groups and in this agreement, you must pay a weekly tithe, as well as jobs that the master would like for you all to do" John said carefully and clearly.
"Sounds like a lot of work" Fin said.
"Yeah what do we get out of it" Bosh asks, intrigued.
Silence at first, John stood still and slowly nods his head.
"You get to keep your Lives"
Then an outrage and cries of anger filled the room. Both sides, the bandits and masked men drew their swords ready to pounce on each other.
"What the hell kind of answer is that, i might as well gut you and your master" Bosh yelled, angered by what John had said.
John simply replied with two simple words. "Then Die"
Just then the necklaces began to glow red causing the bandits to stop and look at their necks.
'What the hell?' Fin thought, taking out his necklace, examining it even more.
Then he finally figures it out. "They're ruins!! Take them off and throw them or you'll die!!"
But his warming was too late only those closest to him heeded his instructions, while the rest weren't so lucky.
The necklaces began to explode, loud explosions each having the power of tank rounds hitting the surface of a vehicle causing it to explode, only this time it's flesh.
Brain matter, blood, eyes, skull pieces, were strewn all over the the warehouse floor as well as the headless bodies of the unfortunate people who still had the necklaces on. Every single bandit that wore them were killed, a few survived after throwing them away.
Bosh on the other hand wasn't ok, with the amount of necklaces in his pocket and one on his neck his entire body was gone, only his feet remained up to his shins.
Fin was blown back from the explosions. He too wasn't safe from it, his right hand was gone, and the right side of his body is charred.
Cries of pain and groans filled the air. The masked men, who were just normal guards at this point began throwing up, John as well was taken back, but from Brann's warning and instructions from the small ruin in his ear, allowed him to have ample time to brace himself.
John walked over to Fin, who was half conscious at this time, "The master, would rather kill you then be left alive, but instead you serve a greater purpose" John said. Wiping off the blood on his shoulder. "You will be an example to of the masters will"
