After getting back to the MPS Police Station, Ying Jie was eagerly waiting for me with lots of questions concerning my whereabouts. I was about to spend the most hectic time of my life.
" Big brother, aren't you happy to see me?" I uttered those words as Ying Jie's face was stiff as a stone, staring at me. I could see at a glance that my usual method to solve things wouldn't work this time around.
Staring at me angrily, he uttered after being quiet for nearly five minutes the following, " Did you have fun, sister?"
" What do you mean, Jie?" He was furious at me for sure. It was obvious why he would be upset. After all, I was missing for days and he couldn't reach me.
" You were away on an adventure. Did you have fun?"
Just listening to him, the story that I wanted to tell him was now useless. Just seeing the look in his eyes and the worry in his expression, I couldn't bring myself to lie to him, not anymore.
