" What's wrong? What were you guys talking about before we arrived?"
The empress dowager and the princess's discussion instantly stopped with Ying Yue and Li Wei's apparition.
" Nothing! We were just having a mother-daughter talk".
The princess's expression is kind of pale. It doesn't seem like they were having a casual talk. By the look of things, I'd say I just saved the princess just by appearing at the right moment.
" Are you okay, your highness?"
My presence might have relieved her. The empress dowager looked kind of agitated thirty seconds before we got here. All we noticed was the empress dowager's agitation. My guess is, she was asking the princess a question. but inevitably, she was unable to either give her a reasonable or acceptable response or two, she didn't know how to respond to her question.
" I'm fine! Don't worry, Ying Yue!"
