Ying Yue stared at the empress dowager quite intensely. With a serious gaze set upon her, she responded: " Your imperial majesty, I truly want nothing from you. I have almost everything in life. I do not desire anything more".
The empress dowager was left speechless by Ying Yue's comment. Her response left her unsatisfied and rather confused.
" You said that you have almost everything in life. What is it that you're still lacking?" She asked thoroughly.
" It's nothing, your majesty! Don't concern yourself with it! I had a slip of tongue".
The empress dowager did in no way believe Ying Yue's assertions. She sensed there was something more, something deeper Ying Yue was concealing from her. She decided to push the matter further to seek answers to her questions.
