Commissioner Beiyang found an excuse to let Princess Li Mei out of the palace on some excuse he came with to help Officer Ying Jie. As she gets outside, she soon realizes this was nothing but a trap; a trap she can't get out of.
" Your highness, you told me you were sick but you don't look the part one bit. Why have you lied to me?" Ying Jie asked the princess.
There was something in Officer Ying Jie's expression that the princess couldn't quite decipher. Was it sadness or anger? She couldn't tell what it was, just that the officer wasn't his usual self.
" I don't know what you're talking about, Officer Ying Jie. I truly am sick. Why would I lie about that?" She turned her gaze away from him as she answered the question.
" You tell me why you would lie to me, your highness! Why aren't you looking at me if you're stating the truth?"
…
" Okay, let's talk, Officer Ying Jie but not here". The princess uttered in an assertive tone.
