A few minutes ago...
As Rain and Daniel nipped their way through the giant leaves of Hazard Forest, they stumble upon a cave. The surrounding was tranquil and silent, meaning it's incredibly dangerous as no ferocious mutated beasts would even dare to approached the place.
There were two caves next to each other and both were roughly the same size, and by that I mean it's as high as the statue of lady liberty standing and as wide as the statue of lady liberty laying down.
"This must be the twin Cavern of life and death" Rain informed.
"The cavern of what now?"
"You know, the nose holes of the forest" Rain pointed at his nose as a reference.
"When you put it like that, it sounds... gross" Daniel replied in disgust.
Rain looked at the boy beside him as if he was an idiot. "Whatever, it's better if we keep moving. Those caves are too dangerous to explore" Rain suggested as he prepared to leave to the other direction.
"Wait! I want to explore it!" Daniel brimmed in excitement.
Unfortunately, Rain was right. Daniel is an idiot, however he isn't dumb.
Daniel is a problematic artist known to many, his art pieces are sold at high prices and is the most desired paintings by high ranking officials. He is known a problematic genius due to his eccentric way to obtain inspiration, and by that, I mean his recklessness can cost LOTS of money and a life.
"Hah? Dumbass! We have no idea what's inside, I'm not gonna risk my life for something idiotic like tha-" but before Rain could finish his sentence, Daniel was already near the cave's entrance.
"Hey, wait up!"
The two boys entered the right "nose hole" of the forest, it was gloomy and disgusting inside. Only the footsteps of the two boys could be heard, not even the sound of water dripping is nearby.
They couldn't hear the wind nor the rustling leaves from outside, it was just their breaths and footsteps. Daniel turned to look if Rain was still following him, and he was, so he hastened his pace.
"Daniel, slow down!" Rain whispered loudly.
"Shhh! Don't shout inside the cave" Daniel whispered back.
"YOU'RE the one who's shouting!" Rain once again whispered loudly.
"NO! You are!" Daniel whispered loudly as he replied to Rain.
The two glared at each other in annoyance, and with a humph, they continued to walk further down the cave.
As they went deeper and deeper, the sound of water droplets rang louder by the second. From far ahead, there was a tiny light that guided the path of the two, the light enlarged as they walked towards it until Daniel bumped into a squishy surface?
"What the?"
Upon taking a closer look, the light that they had seen was unfortunately not from an exit, rather it was a lantern hanging from a giant needle.
Daniel and Rain stepped back to see two glowing red dots in the darkness. The cave started to grumble as the two red dots rose higher into the air, the owner of the red dots was upset
And it wouldn't be far fetched to say that it wanted to kill those who awoke it.
The creature let out an ear-piercing cry that awoken other monsters sleeping inside the cave.
"Oh... We are so dead"
Meanwhile...
Jace and Laurens started to move towards the right direction and with them was an annoying bird that just won't stop screaming.
Laurens looked at the bird and asked, "do you think it has a family?"
"Pfft!-"
Jace broke out in a roaring laugh, "This guy most probably ate it's own mother after it hatched, then killed it's siblings cause why else could it still be alive? So, no"
"Okay psycho, you didn't have to laugh" Laurens mumbled to himself.
"When you see how they fight as a baby, you'll know why I laughed"
The brunette rolled his eyes back unfazed by the blonde's cute giggles. Suddenly, they came to a halt as an awful stench made their nose crinkle in disgust. The smell was horrendous like a rotten dead rat dipped in sewage water and covered with stinky cheese.
The stink was incredibly offensive that Laurens wanted to burn his nose shut! Upon closer inspection, the smell seems to be coming from their destination.
Catherine noticed the pair and waved in delight, when suddenly, a piercing cry of a mutated monster echoed throughout the sky like a siren's alarm.
The carcasses of the plant monster the girls just defeated started to explode one by one, everyone wished for the sound to stop. However, it seems that it was growing closer? The ground started to shake.
Suddenly, a giant ball of ice rolled by the group and with it followed multiple rodents the size of a human's head. There were rats, squirrels and many more, to make it worse, those creatures were out for blood. Fortunately they don't seem to be interested in human blood.
"The f*ck? Is that Rain?" Catherine squint her eyes towards the moving Ice ball.
The giant ball of Ice crashed on a nearby tree as it melted revealing two figures inside, one had cold black hair and the other had a variety of colors radiating from his head.
"Look, it's Daniel and Rain! Hey guys!" Laurens waved to the two boys as if they weren't about to get crushed by hundreds of rodents in a matter of seconds.
The stampede of rodents were gaining on the two boys. However, they were baffled when none of the creatures approached them. Bewildered by the sudden turn of events, they looked around and see Rachel grinning silently while everyone else stared in shock.
"Rachel, is this your power?" Daniel shouted from afar.
Rachel shrugged with a grin on her face, suddenly the ground started shaking once again. A giant shadow covered the area as thousands of spikey needles came into view. However despite it's terrifying figure, the porcupine was adorable!
"Aaawwww~" everyone couldn't help but melt in joy after seeing how adorable it was.
"Hm?" Rachel looked at the spikey monster trying to understand it's words.
"Who dares to interrupt my nap?" Translating its words, Rachel may just have saved everyone's asses.
"I'll try to calm it down. Catherine, can you ask those two how this happened? Thanks"
Rachel took off to persuade the giant porcupine to calm down, meanwhile, Catherine went to the two, possibly injured, boys.
Jace and Laurens followed her as well as Milliania who didn't know what to do in the situation. Catherine felt proud of herself due to the fact that Rachel requested something from her, you could say that she has a "mild" crush.
As Daniel helped Rain try to stand up, he was startled by Catherine's sheer determination. He had never seen his friend look so terrifyingly determined. Noticing Daniel's uncomfort, Rain took a peek at what his idiotic friend was so focused on.
"Well, that's disturbing" Rain commented.
"Rain! Daniel! Are you guys okay?" Laurens stated as he immediately took one of Rain's shoulder to balance him.
Catherine looked at Rain and said "Did Daniel cause this?" As if she had already figured everything out.
"One hundred percent" Rain answered with no hesitation.
