Chapter 14 - Phonecalls and Sinister Plans part 1

Dorian sat, once again, in the car outside the airport. On his face was the biggest, happiest of smiles. On his left sat the love of his life and in the back seats where his beautiful children. Everything that happened yesterday, all the anxiety, the pain, both physically and mentally, just melted away by the sight of them.

Caomhei was for her age a tall girl with red, thick hair that went down to her waist. Her eyes were green, just like her Dadiá's and her brother. Eamon was a big lad, like Dorian, but just like his sister, he had red hair, but short. Dorian loved that both his kids looked more like Finian then him. Caomhei had small freckles on her nose and cheeks, and Eamon had cute dimples, which the girls in his school adored.

Dorian had only been apart from Finian one day, but he missed him so much it hurt. The blond alpha stayed at his parents all night, completely exhausted, and this was the first time he kept secrets from his husband. Dorian hated it, he wanted to rely on Finian, to confide in him, but Dorian was determined to keep Finian from harm.

Finian, on the other hand, didn't tell Dorian about the call from Joy and that he had agreed to meet with Shiro Nakamura. That was because Finian knew Dorian all too well. Dorian would break down entirely if he knew Finian got involved. So the redhaired man decided that it was best, for the time being, to keep it all from Dorian.

Driving the long way back to London, Dorian asked his children about their stay in Ireland. Caoimhe refused to talk with him, which annoyed Dorian, but after a comforting pat on the leg from Finian, Dorian let the girl be. But Eamon, the champ, answered his father and the two of them had a nice talk about horses, his cousins and that Eamon had learned to talk some Irish, which delighted Finian because he never learned it himself.

Once they started to get closer to Chelsea, Finian cleared his throat, feeling a little uncomfortable, and turned to his son and daughter.

"As I told you before. There may be reporters at the house, but if we ignore them while we walk into the house, the guards will keep us safe. Alright?"

The kids nodded, but both Dorian and Finian could see that they were afraid.

"I promise you that nothing will happen to any of us! Everything will soon return to normal."

Caoimhe snorted in response, which made Dorian look back at her through the mirror, and Finian sighed, frustrated.

"Do you have something to say, Caoimhe?" Dorian asked in a stern voice.

The eleven-year-old girl just glared back at her Dad and then continued to look out the window.

Eamon nervously looked between his sister and his father. The thirteen-year-old boy was annoyed by his younger sibling because he understood that this wasn't his father's fault at all, and he was sure that Caoimhe understood that as well. But the girl was so determined to blame everything on her Dad and Shiro Nakamura. It was sad really because Caoimhe had loved the artist Shiro Nakamura and she considered herself to be his biggest fan. Posters of the black-haired, handsome man filled her entire room, and she was a part of every fan club the singer had.

Eamon thought the Japanese pop star had some pretty good songs, even though he preferred heavy metal. And he knew that Caoimhe, deep inside, was sad that she had lost her biggest idol.

Eamon was much more levelheaded than his sister, and he only felt sorry for both Shiro Nakamura and his two fathers. Eamon McCallister had a heart of gold, as Finian would say.

Arriving at their house, they saw that Finian had been right. In front of the building was around ten reporters. They all started to run to the car when the McCallister's arrived. Dorian took a deep breath and tried to not 'accidentally' run someone over and drove painfully slow to the parking lot. The guards ran towards them and pushed the screaming reporters away.

"I didn't know that we are famous!" Eamon said with big eyes.

"Me neither!" Dorian responded and opened the door at the same time Finian did.

Finian put his arm around Caoimhe, who kept her head down, hating every second of this.

Dorian did the same with Eamon, but the tall boy, reaching already to his father's shoulders, didn't keep his head down. He stared at the reporters, and for the first time, Eamon felt that typical alpha protective nature. Nobody should try and fuck with his family.

The year before, Eamon did the test in school that showed his second gender, and to nobody's surprise, Eamon was, without a doubt, an alpha. Probably even a Prime Alpha like his father. So when a reporter noticed a flash of bright yellow in Eamons eyes, the reporters instinctively backed away.

Dorian noticed his son's yellow and put a calming hand on Eamon's shoulder, whispering.

"Good boy, but remember to keep calm."

Dorian felt a smash of pride in his son but wanted to remind him that a McCallister tried to never lose control of himself. Eamon nodded, and they continued walking towards the house, ignoring the reporters.

Finally, inside, the four let at a sigh of relief, and Dorian looked apologetic. Finian noticed this and kissed his husband on the cheek.

"It will be fine. Right, Babe?"

Dorian looked into his husband's beautiful green eyes, and he smiled.

"Yeah, that's right, Luv!"

Because Dorian knew that everything was going to be alright. Dorian had a plan.

*********

Caoimhe went straight to her room on the second floor, ignoring the calls from her father's, and when she saw her room, she screamed from the top of her lungs and went straight to the walls, tearing down all the posters, tears running down her cheeks.

"Caoimhe calm down!" she heard her Daidaí call, but she ignored him.

She took a cup with the word Shiro in kanji on it and threw it on the floor. The porcelain cup shattered into tiny pieces.

"For fuck's sake, Caoimhe, stop this at once," Dorian yelled from the door, pushing Finian aside so he could get in.

"No! Here you go, Dad, here's your omega!"

She threw her pillow with Shiro Nakamura, hitting Dorian right in the face.

"Take it all. I don't want it!" Caoimhe screamed and kept throwing things at her parents.

Finian froze, waiting for Dorian to react, but nothing happened. His husband just stood still with the pillow in his hands, staring at it.

For the first time, since it all started, Dorian saw a picture of Shiro Nakamura, and he remembered the dream all too clearly. That beautiful body under him, that delicate face full of pleasure.

Finian looked worried at Dorian. The blond man had turned pale.

"Luv?"

Startled, Dorian flinched and looked at Finian, guilt written all over his face. He then bent over and started to pick up every poster and merchandise Caoimhe had thrown at them.

"Yeah, I'll better get rid of this," he murmured.

Both Finian and Caoimhe stared in confusion at Dorian when he, with his arms full of destroyed things, just walked away from them. Without so much as a glance or a word towards the girl.

Finian slowly turned to Caoimhe.

"What's going on with you? Why are you acting like this is your father's fault?"

"Going on with me? Why aren't you upset? Don't you care that Dad will leave us?"

Starting to feel furious, Finian took a step toward her, his green eyes full of heat.

"He won't leave us!"

Caoimhe laughed mockingly.

"Yeah, right! Get out! Get out of my room!" She shrieked, and Finian flinched.

This behavior wasn't like Caoimhe at all, sure she was often emotional and had a bad temper, but never had it been as bad as this.

Finian was tired of her screams and didn't have the strength to argue with her anymore, so he just left her alone and went looking for Dorian.

Finian shouldn't have done that. He should have stayed with her until she calmed down because the first thing Caoimhe did was to open her computer and go online. Caoimhe knew she had to do something. She had to protect her family, but she didn't know precisely how. And the internet was full of information. Dark, sinister information that even an eleven-year-old girl could find.
