As they ate their lunch, they talked about their plans.
"The election is near, but Dr. Jaia's lab was destroyed. I don't know where I'll get the funds for… you know… paying some employees working in the Election Commission. They can be expensively demanding at times," Amanda said as her knife scraped on the surface of the medium-rare steak. "Can I ask for your usual financial assistance, Gedon?"
"I refuse. You know that I only assisted you because of Jaia," Gedon responded coldly, "But now, Jaia and I had cut ties with each other."
"What?!" Amanda exclaimed, dropping the knife on her hands and it fell on the floor. "But why?"
"I'm going to leave every decision to my nephew here," he pointed to Leo, who's helping Lia cut her meat, "From now on, everything will depend on his judgment."
