Kyouya walked toward the door as he heard the bell ringing.
"Where's Atsushi?!" Once he opened the door, Rin immediately asked him about Atsushi, and before he can even go in running, Kyouya held him back and glared.
"He's asleep" The latter reminded Rin with a fierce glare, if Atsushi woke up because of this man, he'll be extremely pissed off, Rin understood and he calmed himself down before sitting down in one of the sofas in the living room.
Waiting for Atsushi to wake up, the time seems to pass slowly for Rin, it really makes him impatient and worried, he heard a tap on the table as Kyouya set down a snack for him and in attempt to calm himself down, he took small bites and drank the tea slowly.
"How is he?" Not knowing anything about Atsushi's condition, Rin asked the man who took care of his friend.
"He's just very tired, he needs to sleep and rest his mind and body" Kyouya explained calmly so Rin would calm down, seeing him anxious really makes Kyouya fidget around with guilt.
Rin breathed out, glad that Atsushi was alright and only needs rest, if he knew that Atsushi was beaten up by the thugs, he would freak out even more and become even more worried but fortunately, Kyouya told him the real reason but not the whole explanation.
"You should go to school and focus on class" Kyouya told Rin but he was hesitant and he didn't want to.
"Rin, Atsushi will only feel guilty if he knew that you plan to skip class because of him" Kyouya made up an excuse that Rin can never go against, agreeing with his reasoning, Rin slowly nodded and fidgeted on his seat.
"Please take care of Atsushi" Rin said and slowly fixed his things and walked slowly out of the door as Kyouya watched him walk with a serious look in his face.
It's been 3 hrs when he woke up beside Atsushi and the latter was still asleep beside him, he hasn't eaten for a day and it made Kyouya really worried about Atsushi but he occasionally gives him water and waited patiently.
Looking away from the window, he walked toward his room and checked on Atsushi, he looked very peaceful and satisfied, in the corner of his eyes, Kyouya saw a slight movement that Atsushi made, he was excited and waited for Atsushi to open his eyes.
"Atsushi" Kyouya called out in a small gentle voice and watched Atsushi as he opened his eyes slowly, he hissed in pain when he tried to move, hearing his pain, Kyouya supported the younger man.
"Water" Atsushi said and Kyouya took the water beside his bed and gave it to Atsushi, he dranks slowly as his throat felt a bit dry and sore, probably from sleeping too much and the beatings he got.
Kyouya stood up and went for the kitchen, he took a portion of the food he cooked and heated it up before going back to the room with the food.
"You should eat" He said and Atsushi was feeling hungry but he has no appetite, the pain was too much for him, he feels like the pain will increase if he ate.
"Here, just a bite" Kyouya persisted on feeding Atsushi even if it's only a bite, as long as he ate, reluctantly, Atsushi leaned in and took ate a spoonful of congee although it was soft and easy to eat, he can still the burn and pain on his throat.
"I don't want to get kidnap again" He told Kyouya, a pitiful look on his face was displayed for the older man to see, it made the older man anxious and stressed out.
"I'm sorry" Kyouya apologized and hugged Atsushi, hidden from Atsushi's sight, he felt bad but a smirk was displayed on his face.
'Setting one of my minion in that group was easy, I feel bad but my dear Atsushi always get hurt, he needs to know the real pain of getting betrayed'
Kyouya was guilty that he did not order his minion to save his beloved with the reason that he wanted the younger man to make an effort in protecting and defending himself and also for Kyouya to keep Atsushi for himself.
"Atsushi" Being called out all of a sudden, he turned to look at Kyouya who was looking at him with a smile of gentleness with a hint of cruelness.
"Did you know that I watched you suffer?" He asked and looked down on Atsushi, the latter looked at him and slowly, the realization dawned upon him, he looked at Kyouya with disbelief.
Atsushi welled-up when he discovered that Kyouya let him suffer as he watched.
"Don't cry, of course, I wasn't there physically, apparently, one of my minions was spying there and he saw you by chance and reported to me with a video of you all tied up in a chair" Kyouya held Atsushi's chin softly and lifting in slowly before wiping Atsushi's tears with his other hand.
"I waited for an hour before raiding them, wouldn't you want to feel extreme anger if you ever discovered who did this to you?" Slowly, Kyouya caressed the younger man's face, the latter thought about it, his reason seems right.
"Now, why won't you show me yourself" Kyouya whispered and Atsushi looked down.
Lifting his head up slowly, a noticeable change can be seen with a single look, the eyes full of gentleness was with a hint of coldness, the smile on his face seemed sarcastic, when one look at him, he doesn't look sinister but was even more charming than he was before.
"Pretending to be all that kind when it actually causes me more pain, how annoying" Atsushi cursed and sneered while Kyouya looked at him with interest and seeing the way he speaks, he couldn't help himself and chuckled.
"I've already known about your personality"
"Heh? What personality are you talking about?"
"Simple, I know that you look at others with gentleness but you mock them inside, although your outward appearance looks kind but when they get to see how you are inside, they wouldn't guess that you are actually very cruel"
Hearing his long dialogue, Atsushi laughed and looked at him with interest.
"I didn't think that you would be able to guess it for the past few weeks" He told Kyouya truthfully, he has been friends with others for a long time but they don't even know his real persona.
"Of course, I've been observing you"
"Is that a confession?"
"If you consider that it is a confession then sure"
The two interacted very casually as if the other's persona didn't change at all and they were still close friends.
"No, you better make an effort to make it up for me" Atsushi told the other man with seriousness, he has to make it up for him since he let Atsushi suffer even though he knew about his situation.
"Of course" Kyouya replied and pulled Atsushi close to him but he received a smack on the chest.
"You bastard, you know I'm in pain, why are you trying to make it worse?!" Atsushi frowned and smacked Kyouya a few more times with a grieving expression, Kyouya looked at Atsushi, feeling sorry since he completely forgot about Atsushi's condition.
"Sorry" He apologized and he received a glare but he only chuckled and fed Atsushi slowly.
There wasn't anymore misunderstanding and disappointment between them, with Kyouya being completely honest and Atsushi revealing himself, the pair got closer than ever and it was serene between them, no tension and awkwardness.
"I bet your friends won't expect your changes" Kyouya stated and the other man hummed.
"I have to get rid of my injuries first or Rin will get worried" The younger man said and lifted up his shirt only to see a purple spot, he has been friends with Rin for 5 years, they've been together for 5 years, to Atsushi, Rin is very much like a brother to him and he wouldn't want to make him worried with his injuries.
"I'm guessing that you won't be showing yourself completely"
"I want to but I also don't want to, I would definitely show them a bit of cruelty" Atsushi sneered and ate more with the help of Kyouya.
"If you ever need any help, I'm always at you command" Kyouya told Atsushi with a wink, the latter chuckled because of his flirty behavior, although he has seen his real persona, this man still insists on flirting with him.
"It would take a lot of time for the injury to fully heal but you have to go back to school, you can go back next week, the pain won't be extreme but if you can't bear it, take a pain killer" Kyouya suggested and Atsushi listened carefully, taking that into deep consideration.
The pair interacted the whole day, Atsushi replying with harshness and a smile, from afar, he would look very kind but if you hear him speak, people would think that he is a mean person with the way he speaks frankly and the hint of ridicule in every single sentence while Kyouya chuckled and brushed all his harshness away and kept on flirting with him.
