Though he had been given a week of rest, Jin still performed his basic morning routine in order to further strengthen his muscles. Well, it was more so because this had become a kind of a habit to him at this point as well.
'Soon I'll need to adjust my muscle training as well.' Jin had realized that as stronger his muscles became, it was becoming harder and harder to find suitable weights to train with.
He did know that there were certain special materials that did weigh a large amount but they were too extravagant for someone of this stature.
'I should be able to maintain using weights and boulders up until half step into medium success but then... Hmm...'
Of course this was all in the future and was an issue for future Jin but it was always good to prepare ahead of time.
After he had finished his training, Jin did not continue practice his blood and instead decided to stroll through the forest on the other side of the mountain from the village.
There was a small stream and a pond here and was one of the locations where Jin enjoyed resting at due to the silence and peace.
Coming from a life where his every day was filled with sounds of people's murmurs and sounds of large machinery, the peace of nature was hard to obtain.
Not to mention the various vibrant colored flora that always mesmerized him.
Even after almost a ecade of being able to see colors, it was still a beautiful sight for him. After all, he had lived without this luxury for far too long.
'Blue...Red...Green...' Colors that were almost everywhere in his previous life that he had to differentiate from each other by slight changes in the shade of grey were now pure colors that popped out at his eyes at every angle.
He approached the pond and sat by a small log he had dragged over in the past and watched the fish and frogs within the clear waters.
Then he noticed something strange.
The fish were swirling around a specific point in the point, as if somebody was feeding them.
Jin's eyes squinted as he stood up and started to walk closer to the pond when -
Ssss...
A small girl that resembled a 6 years old human girl with bright white hair appeared before his eyes.
!?
Jin quickly dashed backwards and braced himself in case.
It had the appearance of a girl but he knew that certain high level beasts could imitate the appearance of a human and more than anything, it was floating above the pond in the air.
"W-What are you?" Jin was scared. The girl had long, flowing white hair and was wearing a very extravagant dress made of what seemed like linen and cloth.
She gazed around the area and then locked onto Jin before revealing a smile.
"Hello, child." An extremely ancient-sounding voice rang out from the girl's mouth, completely breaking the image and had startled Jin.
'Wait... This voice...'
Jin had heard this voice before. He then noticed the markings around the girl's eyes that resembled a tiger's along with the bright white eyes that had no pupils.
"Ancestor...? Baek Ho?" Jin carefully asked, still on his guard.
"Heheh, quite a smart boy aren't you?" Baek giggled before disappearing.
!?
Sst!
She instantly appeared before his eyes and hopped around him.
"Wow! Did you reach small success in muscle and blood already? Oh wait, the muscles aren't quite there yet... Buuuuut! It's still very impressive~" Her speach had a strange form of rhythm that flowed like the wind.
Jin's guard dropped as he tried to catch a glimpse of his 'ancestor' as he quickly gave up, noticing he could not track her movement speed.
"This is fun! It's been a while since something this interesting appeared!" Baek stopped before his eyes before laughing out loudly.
"Um...No offense, ancestor, but I'm kind of confused as to what is going on..." Jin responded in a careful manner. Though her appearance could fool others, Jin could subconsciously feel the horrifying aura that was radiating out from her small body.
"Ah yes, sorry about that. I got too carried away. Here." Baek waved her arms as the scenery before his eyes quickly changed as they were moved back next to the pond.
"Hi Heuk! I'm Baek! You can call me Ancestor but Lady White is fine too!" She grinned as she walked atop the water of the pond before continuing. "I wanted to come give you a gift for your upcoming 10th birthday but it seems the gift is wasted."
"Huh...? A wasted gift? What?" Jin continued to be at a loss.
"Well, I was going to give you a hand in hastening the process of your bodily training but it seems you have that handled already hmm... There isn't much I can give you..." Baek seemed to be lost in thought as her cute little face crumpled up in thought.
Jin quietly waited in silence, he didn't want to say anything that was out of line nor did he have anything to say in particular. This whole situation was like a dream to him at the moment.
'Wasn't ancestor a god? How could she... Can the other three do this as well?' Jin thought about the ancestors of the other three families and shuddered at the thought of a giant dragon descending onto the ground.
"Ah! I know!" Baek shouted out in glee and then asked. Conjuring various shapes of weapons above her from what it seemed like condensed air. "Did you pick a weapon yet? If so is there a weapon you like?"
"...No"
"Dang!" She got annoyed at my response and pouted as she fell back into thought "Hnng!"
"But I do have an idea of what I want to use..." I responded as I gazed at once of the weapons.
"Oh oh oh! Good good! Tell me, what is it?" Baek hurriedly asked in excitement and crawled before me with sparkling eyes.
"I-I wish to learn the bow... I understand that the Ho family have a natural tendency to the wind element. I had a thought that-"
"Controlling the arrow with wind? You're right that's indeed a fun method yep yep yep! A few of your predecessors have taken a similar path as well!" Baek took ahold of the bow and then conjured an arrow of wind as she shot it out.
She then wiggled her finger around and made the arrow freely flow between the trees before making a round trip back to hear before she smacked it away.
"Hee hee~. Then I have the perfect gift for you. Here, lean down so I can reach!" She then reached her arms out before me. Really, it was extremely adorable.
I bent down my upper body in curiosity before Baek placed her palms upon my eyes and blocking my eyes. "This might hurt, but it will help you lots! I'll be back in the future so train well! I look forward to the day when you ascend! Buh Bai~"
And with those words Jin's world turned dark again as he drifted off into unconsciousness.
