Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Call of war

Asiya notices Pharaoh. Anxiety surrounds him. This is found in his feature. "What makes him worried?" Asiya thinks. Being absored in anxiety  he forgets his works. Sometime he forgets to eat. There is a pressure on him.

Pressure always fells on kings. A king must struggle with it. He must survive through it. But survival is no easy task. Dealing with pressure is not also an easy task. Asiya knows that. So when she notices that pharaoh is under pressure, she is sure pharaoh needs help. But how can she help? Will Pharaoh take her help? She wants to help her Pharaoh, but she does not forget that Pharaoh rose his hand on her once. But she must do something to help the man she loves. So she comes to him.

Anmatre feels a hand on his right shoulder. It is soft and not calloused like his. He looks back to see Asiya.

"Oh you!" He says, letting a sigh of sadness."What brings you here, Asiya!"

Asiya replies, "Sharing,my lord! I want you to share all your feelings with me." Pharaoh is astonished to hear those sweet words from this woman.

Inside, he feels sorry. Repentance creeps inside him. Asiya is now hearing about the pharaoh's sadness. The war is the cause. Egypt must fight a war with Hittites and itself.

Hittites are threatening Egypt for few summers. Their king Hattusilis and Pharaoh Menet makes a treaty.

Menet did not want war like his son now does not. So Menet wanted Hattusili to make a peace treaty with Egypt. Hattusilis agrees because Egypt was more powerful than Hittite empire. But now the treaty is broken by his son Mursilis and the Hittites. Moreover they insult the ambassador sent by Anmatre to settle some trade route to Persia. Mursilis insults him and as a result rises a tension between the two enemies.

All is told by Pharaoh to his queen.

The declaration of the war makes  Pharaoh angry, but he worries for his subjects.

To fight against the Hittites, Pharaoh's army is also ready. And the most intersting thing is that the queen of Egypt also joins the egyptian army. Not as a soldier, she will nurse the wounded soldiers.

They are now at the battlefield. Warcry is heard here and there. The Hittites are coming like the waves of the sea. But Egyptian defense stops them. Now the war is at its peak. Egyptians know that they are going to win. But a fierce attack is drawn upon them. The Hittites are attacking the Egyptian archers, wounding Pharaoh Anmatre. This news breaks the heart of Egyptian army. Aasar tries to fight. But they give up. And the war ends without any result.

Asiya hears that her Pharaoh is wounded. She feels her world is breaking down. Without Anmatre her world does not exist. Now she faces Anmatre, a wounded man.

Anmatre cries when there is an attempt to remove the arrow from his left hand. Asiya helds him tightly. Her eyes are now full of tears.

"Pharaoh has survived."Declares the main physian, Haran.

Asiya is now infront of Anmatre. Pharaoh talks with her. He talks about the war. Because Egypt wins the war and he is more happy than any other men.
