Metro's whole body shook as he followed the directions on the phone. He had just murdered someone in cold blood that had absolutely no relation with him, and yet he surprisingly felt nothing at all for this innocent person. They had a life with their family and friends, and he had taken it all away in an instant.
Killing her had been like second nature to him, as if he had done it countless times before. Thinking about this, Metro's whole body shuddered aa his mind returned to the last memory he received. He was now experiencing the whole scene from a third person perspective. There, he could finally see the blurred out object now.
It was a television that was broadcasting a video. The video had a man that was drenched in black liquid continually kill people in various methods. Twisting heads, cracking open the skull, suppressing someone violently, suffocation... all sorts of vile murders were committed by the man, and the Metro in the past was forced to watch it all.
As Metro continued to view the video, without any warning, the man turned to face Metro's perspective and muttered out an ear grating word, "Overlord." The video shut down, and at the same time, the memory ended.
Metro stumbled back, falling into the ground. His mental energies were exhausted from the sudden reliving of the memory. The shadowy man had also seemed to pierce through space and time itself and had looked directly at Metro in the future, trying to convey a message to him.
"Overlord? Why was this word used by him? Was my violence related to him?" Millions of possibilities ran through Metro's mind, but none could explain this unusual occurrence. Everything had no correlation with each other, at least for now. However, with this new memory, a skill had emerged along with it.

"Killing Instinct? What did I do during the blank spots in my memories?" Metro had a suspicion that he might have been used for more malicious businesses before he died. Swallowing down his concerns, Metro focused back onto the task at hand.
Navigating using the phone, Metro took the path shown on the phone and encountered little trouble, since he minded his own business. When he finally arrived at the school gates, he was impressed by the size of Undefeated High School.
Normal schools had at most a football field and some buildings to conduct lessons in. Undefeated High School was a totally different breed of school, or in simple terms, it was a fortress.
There were watch towers that were set up along the school's boundary, with sharp looking guards in military fatigues looking over each of them. The buildings were as tall as high rise buildings, and even had unique symbols and their names on all of them. Not only that, there was a facial and fingerprint scanner besides the school gates, which had some sparks of electricity occasionally scorch the pavement.
"Is this a school or a military base?" Metro wondered to himself in his heart. As he headed to the scanners, he discreetly tossed the phone over to the gates, electrifying it's internals and melting it beyond disuse. Knowing smartphone makers, it would have contained a tracker inside, monitoring his every move. If they tracked it to this school, it would be the school that needs to deal with the problem.
The guards turned their heads to see where the sound was coming from, and swerved away when they saw the uniform that Metro was wearing. As Metro pressed his thumb on the fingerprint scanner and let the facial scanner collect data on his irises and structure, a soft, gentle voice came out of the speaker next to the scanners.
"Scanning complete. Subject has 98.41% match to current Foundation level student, Nasser Lee. Allowing entry to school premises. Nasser Lee, you are supposed to be attending Biotechnological Studies now. Please proceed to Level 5, Room 334 at the Hummler Block."
The sparks that were flying off the gates disappeared, and the gates swung open automatically. Once Metro walked inside, the gates returned to their normal position and was re-electrified.
"So, this is the courtyard?" An expansive, empty space awaited Metro once he stepped into the school. The ground was not even paved at all, just dust and dirt. Metro saw some trees planted around the courtyard, but that was all the decoration it had to offer.
Looking to the top of the buildings, he saw that Hummler Block was the one that was furthest away from him. It was at least 500m away, but Metro did not mind it at all, since he was absorbing and storing the sunlight with the help of the Holy Boost.
During his walk to the Hummler building, Metro did not see anyone, because everyone else was at class in the buildings. The classes were many, ranging from weight building to gun fighting. Even though the glass in the buildings were tinted and double glazed to maintain privacy, the Eye of Light allowed Metro to look past it.
When Metro finally arrived at the Hummler building, he swung open the wide glass doors and saw three elevators. Pressing the "Up" button for the middle elevator, Metro was shocked when the elevator suddenly dropped all the way down in an instant.
Entering the elevator, he pressed the button for the 5th floor, thinking, "How the hell did this guy get in such a bizarre and advanced school?"
Metro simply could not believe that a person that lived in such a poor quality house could afford this school. That was unless this was a school for talented people. However, Metro could see that Nasser Lee did not have any skills at all, which begged the question, "What criteria does this school have for its students?"
When the elevator's doors opened, there was a directory hanging from the ceiling, telling Metro where Room 334 was. While walking there, Metro noticed that the corridor was soundproof, even though there were lots of loud activities being done in the rooms. For example, robots were fighting while being controlled by students, or guns were being fired off. They were not muffled, but the sounds simply disappeared. It was obvious that the technology here was much superior to Metro's original world's science.
When Metro finally arrived in front of Room 334, he could see that they were conducting a lecture with an anatomy of a human. Opening the metallic door using a slight twist, he could hear some of the lecture, "Now, this organ can be repurposed to form an extra heart in order to heighten the body's capabilities..."
Metro opened the door fully, letting the lecturer hear it. The lecturer turned to face Metro and rolled his eyes, "Nasser Lee, how many times do you wish to play truant? It was only your grandfather's final wish that allowed you to attend, do not waste his gift." The other students looked at him with a bored expression their faces.
Ignoring Metro, the lecturer continued to elaborate more on the organ. "This organ is of course the appendix. It is said to be one of the most useless organs in the human body, but the truth is that we are simply in an environment that makes it unnecessary. With sufficient changes, you can use it to adapt to your body better."
"This is!" Metro did not expect that this topic would come up. He remembered that he had actually done this topic before in the Military Hologram Version 2.0!
"So this is Biotechnological Studies!" Metro felt an excitement as he remembered the foundational basics of the topic. As the lecturer continued to touch on the uses of every organ in the body, Metro continually raised questions and processed the information he received quickly.
After 2 hours, the lecture finally ended, and the students streamed out of the classroom excitedly. The lecturer commented on Metro's performance, "Nasser, I have to say that you acted like a completely different student today. Even though you were truant again, at least you possessed learning initiative and some basic knowledge, compared to the rest of these 4th level mooches. Come find me at Level 2 staff room if you wish to learn the advanced level." After saying that, he left Room 334, leaving Metro in the deserted room.
"So these are the benefits of intelligence. Not bad if I must say so myself." Metro grinned to himself as he checked out the new skill that he had learned from the lecture.
