Roxie then frowned, still not accepting her name being called out carelessly.
"I told you my name's Rox-"
"I don't care if your name is Roxianne, Roxianna, Rosianne, Rosanna, blah, blah, blah. You're the ugliest person I've ever seen in school,"
None of these names were pronounced correctly. Roxie doesn't care anymore. Even she was tired of hearing such weightless excuses. She just rolled her eyes.
"So is that the only reason why you kidnapped me, Miss Courtney?" asked Roxie, blinking her eyes, mocking her nickname, that usually being called by her butler at the school's entrance.
"Yes," she replied casually with a proud smile. Her friends behind also followed suit. She doesn't even care that Roxie has mocked her.
"This girl is crazy," Roxie muttered while keeping her head low.
Unfortunately, Courtney heard it and asked, "What did you say?"
Roxie immediately raised her head again and said, "Nothing. And how long do you want to keep me?" she asked casually, changing the topic.
Courtney took the bait as she continued talking, "Hmm, I don't know, forever?" Courtney laughed.
"Don't be joking, Courtney," Roxy replied dryly.
"Who's joking around?" asked Courtney again with a smile.
This time, Roxie was silent for a while, then opened her mouth again.
"What do you want?" Roxie asked, frowning.
Courtney chuckled and said, "I think you already know that Roxie. I want your place in school."
Roxie then laughed humorlessly, "Hah, without you asking me, you should be able to do that by yourself at school, Courtney. You don't even need someone else's statement to get into that position. Among all people, you know it the best, Courtney. You're the only person who wanted this position so badly, I never even asked for the spotlight," said Roxie, getting annoyed with Courtney.
"That's right," Courtney replied with a smile.
"Then why are you doing this to me?" Roxie asked, frustrated while raising her eyebrows.
She smirked as she said, "For fun," Courtney laughed, her friends also laughed when it was not funny at all.
After hearing Courtney's answer, Roxie said with a blink, "Huh?" she became confused about Courtney's purpose in doing all this.
"I'm planning to leave you here until tomorrow morning. Or maybe until you can get yourself out of the way. I mean, you're smart right Roxie? You should know how to get out of here." Courtney said with a haughty smile.
Roxie is getting more annoyed.
"Or ask your father to come here or your mother to pick you up ...," said Courtney, casually.
Then she suddenly remembered something and continued saying, "Oh, I just remembered, your father is not here. He has ran away from home, leaving you and your pathetic mother jobless," she said again with a mocking smile.
Angry, Roxie did not accept her mother being ridiculed by Courtney.
"Shut up Courtney and don't speak about my mother like that," Roxie growled, gritting her teeth.
Courtney yawned, pretended not to hear anything, and put her hand on her ear as she leaned to Roxie, "Oh, what's that? I can't hear you. All I know is that you have a messed up family. A father who ran away from home, an unemployed mother, and a daughter who is just an ordinary schoolgirl. Aww not so normal life after all," she said while circling Roxie's seat, pursing her lips at the last words.
"Enough!" Rosie shouted angrily. Courtney was surprised, but regained her expression, still smiling with satisfaction. Roxie squeezed her hands that were being tied in the back of the chair tightly, anxious to beat down Courtney.
'How dare a spoiled child like her interfere with my life,' Roxie thought irritably.
"Oh, sorry. I was wrong," said Courtney insincerely as she glanced sideways at her polished nails. Then stared back at Roxy, and said calmly, "Your father is dead."
Roxie opened her eyes wide when she heard Courtney's words, "Courtney ...," then she frowned. She started trembling, she was furious.
"Courtney ...," she growled as she speaks, she clenched her fists and squeezed it hard.
Blood vessels started appearing on her forehead, and her cheeks became even redder. She didn't know how to control herself anymore to stop her anger. All she knows was that Courtney must get revenge for her actions. All the bullying activities she had done against Roxie at school. Now, this.
"How dare you mentioning my father!" she yelled furiously. Courtney must get her revenge, along with her side-kicks.
After seeing Roxie's expression, everyone in the room was terrified.
"Uh, b-boss, I think we have to stop this," Tina said terrified, glancing at Courtney, then to Roxie, then back at Courtney.
"W-what do you mean? Shut up, Tina. Don't make yourself end up like her." Courtney pointed at Roxie limply. She was half angry, but half worried and scared with Roxie.
Roxie then forced herself to remove the rope from her hand. She kept shaking her hands off of the rope. Until her wrists turn red.
"Argh! Once I get off this rope, all of you will be dead!" Roxie glared at them.
Tina and Eris were trembling with fear, to the point that they slowly retreated backward. Meanwhile, Courtney, who was very brave at first, also began to retreat slowly. But, still maintaining her ego. She continued to cross her arms and looked at Roxie nervously.
"W-well, you c-can't possibly get out of that rope, Roxanne. T-tina has tied it tight, r-right Tina?" she asked, looking back, confirming the answer to Tina. However, what she saw was that her two friends were already at the dark corner of the warehouse. They were still trembling with fear.
Upon seeing this, Courtney was angry at them, "Hey!! What the hell are you two doing!? You traitor! Come back here this instant!" she ordered, looking at them with furrowed eyebrows while pointing down.
They stayed still, not daring to go forward anymore.
Eris had a concerned expression, her hands had been put on her chest. It was as if she was praying for Roxie not to go kaboom.
Tina with a big built body has never been terrified of anything before, however, when she felt a strange aura coming from Roxie, that was when she knew she had to move back. Roxie is like a bomb that could explode at any moment.
They made the right decision, but Courtney stayed behind.
Then, suddenly a blue light illuminated the room.
