The prostitutes shrieked in fear.
"Don't worry. My work here is done. Orion, clear this mess for me."
The man in a black cloak appeared from behind the door.
—"She knew I followed her all along?"The assassin thought.
"Understood, Milady."
Sloane stepped forward approaching a trembling prostitute.
"Please don't hurt me! Please spare me!" She pleaded.
"Tell me. Who's the owner of this Casino?"
The girl who was barely even in her twenties pointed shakily where the assassin wrapped up the corpse in a sheet of cloth.
"Oops! My mistake." Sloane blurted out blankly.
"Don't worry. From now on you are all free. Wait for me until I have resolved the matter."
The woman's eyes showed a sliver of hope.
She now looked at Sloane, not as a reaper but as a lifesaver.
"Don't inform others about this yet. I warn you."
"Yes, yes, I won't." She smiled with tears of hope.
-"Her hair!! They turned golden, ?"
"Orion. Take this woman to my estate. Give her food and other requirements. I shall pay her a short visit soon."
He nodded and picked up the woman as if he were carrying a sack.
"Kyaa!" The woman screamed in fright.
Losing her temper Sloane smacked his head while he still crouched.
"Is that how you escort women?"
His deep ocean blue eyes met hers.
He apologized slowly putting down the girl.
"Woman. What's your name?"
The girl's silver eyes which had a slight touch of sky blue met Sloane's.
"R-Reina."
"Alright.Details later. Orion, please escort Lady Reina to MY estate."
He bowed deeply and left with the girl.
-"She is no ordinary woman. Changing her hair so naturally."
"Orion."
Sloane called out.
The man looked back. Sloane whispered something in his ears.
He nodded then left.
-"Now let's head back before Cecile and father reach their limits."
A chill ran down her spine.
"I'm already getting vibes."
The last part of the night ended up with the first ray of light early in the morning.
Sloane reached the residence by sunrise.
She strode along with the horse towards the stable. She saw Jack entering the stable.
"Jack! Take care of Ebony. She's tired."
The boy came running out as fast as possible.
"Milady! You were out all night?"He asked shocked.
" Yes, I had important business to take care of."
Judging by his eager face he wanted to know more about her important business but didn't dare to ask.
She smiled and patted his shoulder.
"Good job in taking care of the stable. I will come to practice with you soon."
He nodded obediently. Then looked up watching her leave.
—"She looked tired from her voice."
