Lucy's POV
After the confirmation from Mira and Happy earlier this afternoon that Natsu and (Y/N) certainly liked each other, I was ready to set my plan into action. I called over Erza, Gray and Happy.
"Ok, so does everyone know the plan?" I ask.
"Yes. We invite Natsu and (Y/N) on this job. When we go to the inn for the night, we say there was a mix up with the rooms and that they'll have to share." Erza recites, holding up a job flyer. Gray nods. "I have to say, Lucy, you are quite good at this." She compliments.
"Thank you." Surely that means I've earnt some brownie points with her. "Ok, lets go ask them," I say, beginning to walk over to the table that the fire and water mage were sitting at. "Hey guys," I wave smiling.
"Hey Lucy." (Y/N) smiles and waves back. "What's up?"
"Erza and I found a good job that the team should go on," I say suggestively, handing over the flyer.
"Beat up some thieves terrorising Aster city?" Natsu reads off the sheet. "Yeah! I'm all fired up!" He jumps up, fist bumping the air. (Y/N) giggles at the sudden enthusiasm within the fire dragon. This causes him to turn his head and smile at her. I feel like screaming at them to get married already.
"Sounds like Natsu wants to go," (Y/N) giggles once more. "I'm down."
"Ok, we'll all meet at the train station, 8 in the morning," I inform, earning a groan from the two dragon slayers. "Oh yeah, (Y/N), I was thinking before. Where have you been sleeping?"
"Uh..." she looks down at her hands. "The infirmary. I have no where else to stay."
"What!" Natsu shouts. "Why didn't ya say something?"
"You didn't ask," she responds, sticking out her tongue.
"You can stay with me for now," I smile.
"Thanks, Lucy."

THIRD PERSON POV
The team had settled on the train after Erza used brute force to get Natsu to hop on in the first place. Both dragon slayers got motion sickness the moment the train started moving. Natsu's nonstop groaning filled the booth they occupied. (Y/N) tried to sleep in order to feel less pain.
"Stop groaning would ya, flamebrain!" Gray irks up.
"Shut it, popsi- ughhh," Natsu retorts, curling in on himself.
"Let's discuss the job," Erza crosses her arms. "Tonight, we will settle and stay at an inn that I have pre-booked. Tomorrow, we will deal with the thieves and make our way back to Magnolia."
"Sounds like a plan," Happy giggles, knowing full well that it actually is.
//
"Are you feeling better yet?" (Y/N) asks, giving Natsu a pat on the back as they wait for Erza to return with the room keys. "I thought my motion sickness was bad. I can't imagine how horrible yours is."
"I'm never going back on one of those death machines." The pink-haired wizard groans.
"I think we both know you have to and will," (Y/N) chuckles.
"Why does my stomach hate me?" He whines, leaning his head on her shoulder.
"There was a mix-up with the rooms, we now only have three instead of four." Erza sighs, hands on her hips.
"I'm not sharing with flamebrain. I'd rather not explode in the middle of the night," Gray complains.
"What's that supposed to mean, ice perv!?" Natsu jumps up.
"Very well, (Y/N) is closest to Natsu and will bunk with him. Lucy, you'll be with me and Gray will be on his own."
"I'll go with Gray," Happy says.
"Why! You traitor!" Natsu points at Happy, flames coming out of his mouth as he speaks.
"Sorry, Natsu. I'm tired and you snore." Happy laughs. Lucy smiles to herself; the plan so far has been a success.
"Any final objections?" Erza asks. "Speak now or forever hold your peace."
"I'm fine with it," Lucy agrees. "(Y/N)?" She asks.
"I don't mind." She mumbles, cheeks burning as bright as Natsu's fire dragon brilliant flame. 'Cute,' Natsu thought to himself.
"Natsu?" Erza turns to face him.
"Huh?" He snaps back into reality.
"Any objections?"
"No, I'm fine with it," he responds, grinning from ear to ear. "Come on, (N/N). Lets go check out our room!" He grabs the water mages hand and runs off down the hall.

(Y/N) POV
"Wah! There's a lacrima screen!" I cheer, running up to observe.
"You haven't seen a lacrima screen before?" Natsu asks, placing down his backpack and walking in behind me.
"I was locked up for a year remember." I placed my hands on my hips, facing him. "I only overheard people talking about them, they only came out a few months back."
"Well, wanna watch a movie then?" He asks, laying down on the left side of the bed, back leaning against the headboard and reaching for the remote on the bedside table.
"Can we please?" My eyes lit up at the thought, making my way to do the same on the right side.
"What type of movie?" Natsu questions, flicking through the choices.
"Uhhh," I think for a moment. "I don't know, you choose."
"Harry Potter is cool, but the way they portray magic with weird stick things is strange." He says, clicking on the movie.
"You mean wands?" I sweat-drop.
"Yeah, those things," he chuckles, pulling the quilt back and then placing it back over us.
//
I was intrigued. The movie was about half way through and the whole time, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
"You like it then?" Natsu asked, laughing lightly.
"Yeah!" I can feel the sparkle in my eyes. Finally tearing my eyes away from the screen when I feel an arm lazily wrap itself around my shoulders. Natsu doesn't say anything and continues staring at the screen. He's so warm...
I focus my attention back in on the movie, snuggling in closer to Natsu's side to enjoy the warmth than he is constantly emitting. After a few minutes, I decided I wanted to say something.
"Hey, Natsu?" I turn and look up at him. The lacrima screen casts little light over his face, he looked ethereal.
"Yeah?" He asks, looking down at me. Only now realising how close we truly were, my breath caught in my throat.
"T-thank you," I manage to whisper.
"For what?" He cocks his head to the side.
"Everything." I stare deeply into his onyx eyes. His free hand makes its way to the side of my head, gently petting down my hair.
"You don't need to thank me," he speaks softly. "You know I would do anything to protect you in a heartbeat." What I hadn't realised until I felt his hot breath fanning my lips, was that we were leaning in while he was talking. We got closer and closer, only an inch apart.
"I'm sorry!" Happy comes flying through the door. Natsu and I jump away from each other quicker that you can even say 'jump.' "Gray makes the room feel like the Antarctic. I can't stay in there!"
"It's fine, Happy." I giggle, brushing the moment from a few seconds ago over my shoulder; as much as I wanted to find out the result. "You can come lay here with us. Natsu makes the room feel nice and cozy."
"You're a traitor," Natsu crosses his arms and looks away. "We don't want you here." Little did I know there was another reason Natsu wanted him to leave.
"Calm down, Natsu." I laugh, ruffling his hair. "We should probably all sleep now. We need to be up early tomorrow."
"Fine," Natsu retorts, flinging his upper body down onto the bed. I follow, laying down myself. Minutes later hearing the slight snore of a blue cat.
"Natsu?" I whisper.
"Mmm?" he groans.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight, (N/N)." The last thing I felt before entering into a deep slumber, was a strong arm wrapping around my waist and pulling me close. Maybe tonight, I would actually sleep decently.
