The imperial mage and Hansol stepped outside the hallway. Hansol gently closed the door behind him and crossed his arms.
"Speak." Hansol commanded.
"As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a tremendous amount of white mana coming off of the princess. My conclusion is that the princess had her awakening. She explained the usual symptoms of what one would experience during one's awakening. Chest pains, dizziness, fainting, unable to breathe. The symptoms are all there." The imperial mage explained.
Hansol began to laugh as he covered his mouth.
"Is this supposed to be a joke? If so, you succeeded. I did not expect you to come up with such a lie out of nowhere." Hansol continued to laugh.
The imperial mage furrowed her eyebrows.
"Chancellor, I only speak the truth, trust me."
"...If what you are saying is true, then why so soon? She is only 5-years-old. It is only heard of adolescents to experience their awakening. Is there a way to test your assumption?" Hansol questioned with doubt.
The imperial mage raised her eyebrow while crossing her arms. She quickly closed her eyes and sighed.
"With all due respect, Chancellor. I do not tell you how to do your job. So please, do not doubt my abilities as the imperial mage of this empire. I am quite confident in my observation. I can confirm that the princess had her awakening."
Hansol bit his bottom lip and nodded as a form of agreement.
"Then how do we go about this? If what you say is true, The princess will need her own mage tutor on mana training now. This is all too sudden. How can the princess take another class in to her full schedule? His majesty may reject the opportunity at this time since she is far too young, and quite honestly, I would agree with him." Hansol stated confidently.
"If I may speak out of term, I believe not you or his majesty have a choice in this matter. Once an imperial individual has their awakening, the sudden change in their body may cause the mana to overpower the individual emotionally, psychically, and mentally. If not properly trained, it may even result in an excruciating death. Unless you want the precious jewel of this empire to be in trouble, I suggest you reconsider my offer. I must take my leave now. It seems I may have overstayed my welcome. Good day, Chancellor." Smirked the imperial mage as she placed the cloak's hood over her head.
Hansol closed his eyes and tilted his head upward.
"Imperial mage, having an awakening is very strenuous to the body, and as young as she is, she will need all the help she can get. However… You and… his majesty are not on good terms. I am already going against an imperial order by bringing you here to heal the princess. If his majesty finds out that you were here, he will have my head." Hansol said nervously as he walked up to the mage.
The mage smiled cynically as she turned around to face Hansol.
"I will be her personal tutor, Chancellor. I can handle his majesty. That is a promise." The imperial mage said confidently.
