"Your Majesty, you seem a little stiff today. Perhaps you are training more than usual. You should have another drink." Said one of the concubines.
"Yes, your Highness - drink your wine and enjoy the show. You came for pleasure, did you not?"
"You are too chatty right now. Lower your voice and leave my sight, woman."Xavier commanded as he pushed off the concubine off his lap.
She quickly got up from the ground and left with a displeased face.
"Why is he here if he does not want to receive pleasure or have a good time? No need for such a sour face. How are we to satisfy a man who refuses us so rudely?" whispered one of the many concubines to another.
"Say that again, you wretched whore? Mind you. I can hear just as well as an owl at night." Xavier said as he stood up with a wine glass in his hand.
He walked towards the scared concubine as the others scattered away from him in fear.
"Such a sharp tongue and careless mind to say such things to the ruler of this empire. It is a shame that such a pretty face will go to waste." He chugged his wine glass and threw it at full force against the wall.
The scared concubine trembled in fear and got on her knees. She began to kiss his feet as a sign of forgiveness.
"Please forgive me, my emperor. I spoke without thought. Please forgive me!"She pleaded as she held onto his ankles.
He smirked.
"Such a filthy insect you are. Do you all speak harshly of me when I am gone? When I present myself, you all seem excited to please me that you all fight to see me. LYING, DISTRUSTFUL, DIRTY WHORES!" Xavier kicked the concubine directly in the mouth with his foot at full force.
She yelped in pure agony. Blood and teeth began to fall out of her mouth. She held her mouth in despair.
"Let this be a lesson to all of you filthy whores. You are all nothing but a hole to men. Every single one of you is useless and replaceable to me and this world." He stated as he grabbed a bottle of wine and slammed the door behind him.
Chugging the large bottle of wine, he began to walk to the lake. As we walked, it started to thunder and rain. He sat on the bench as he began to chug the wine bottle once more. He looked up at the thunderous sky.
"Why must it always rain when I want to be outside? Why must I always encounter horrible weather regardless of the season or time? Since the day I was born, It always rained when I decided to enjoy my day outside. Do you gods, despise me that much?"
He placed the wine bottle beside him and placed both hands on his head as he leaned forward.
"Why did you have to leave me, Jennavicia? There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you and just ending it all. Why did gods have to take you? I would have… gladly taken my own life for you. You were the only one for me. You were MEANT FOR ME. YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE WHO MADE ME HAPPY, SANE, AND ALIVE!" Xavier screamed in tears.
He quickly stood up and chugged the remaining of the bottle. He started walking towards the lake.
The rain became more vigorous, and thunder grew louder. He stumbled into the lake. Each step became deeper into the lake.
Hansol can see Xavier from a distance in the lake. Panicked, he called Ezra for help in his head.
Hansol ran as fast as he could to the lake.
"XAVIER! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Yelled Hansol as he searched for traces of Xavier in the lake.
The wind began to pick up, and rain became more robust.
"He has made the Giodivonian gods upset. PLEASE, GIODIVONIAN GODS, WITH MY HEART AND SOUL FORGIVE THIS FOOL AS HE DOES NOT KNOW FROM RIGHT AND WRONG. I WILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY! PLEASE FORGIVE HIM FOR HIS SINS! HE WILL REPENT!v
Ezra ran into the lake and took a dive into the lake's water.
Ezra was able to see Xavier's silhouette. He quickly grabbed hold of his body and rose to the tops of the water. Gasping for air, he began to swim while holding Xavier with one arm. Hansol got a good hold of Xavier's side while Ezra held him on the other side. They placed him on land, and Hansol began chest compressions. Ezra sat down, trying to compose himself.
"Right now is not the time for you to have one of your anxiety attacks, Ezra I need your help!" Hansol commanded as he began chest compressions.
"The Giodivonian gods are furious! The… the weather is getting so bad! You know I hate thunder! How do we calm them down?! What did he do this time?!" yelled Ezra in panic.
"Right now is not the time! We need to save the emperor! Ugh! He is not responding! What do we do?!" Hansol questioned in panic as he continued to perform CPR.
"Hm? Am...Am I dreaming? What is going on? Why does everything feel… foggy? This isn't the lake." Xavier questioned, as he found himself on the floor- holding his head.
He stood himself up and looked around.
"Your Majesty! You came." Smiled a blurred figure.
"Who.. who are you?" Xavier questioned as he rubbed his eyes and squinted his eyes.
His eyes began to water.
"Jennavicia is it… really you?!" he asked as he walked closer to the figure.
"Yes, your Majesty. Did you miss me that much?"
Xavier fell on his knees, hugging her tightly.
"Careful, my love. You know I am quite delicate right now. You should not grab me so carelessly."
"What...what do you mean? I should be allowed to hug you and embrace you in my arms."
"My my, you forgot already? I'm expecting your child, your Majesty. You were so excited when I told you the news yesterday. I am quite upset that you forgot already." The blurry silhouette said she patted Xavier's head.
Confused, he got up from the floor.
"Let's go for a walk, your Majesty. Is that alright with you?"
He stared at her for a brief moment and nodded.
She locked arms with him and began walking in a garden filled with lilies and dandelions.
"We should start thinking of names, your Majesty."
Xavier, in a confused state of mind, felt a sense of déjà vu. He stopped walking and looked at the blurry figure. He bit his bottom lip.
"What if we have a girl?" questioned Xavier as he studied the blurry figure's reaction.
"Well, I had a couple. After reading Greek literature, I fell in love with many. There were two in particular that I wanted. But one was…"
"Amara…" Xavier said.
"How… how did you know? Did you perhaps read the same book I did, your Majesty?"
Xavier chuckled and sighed as he tilted his head upwards.
"However, I am positive we have an heir! If that is the case, let's name him Xavier. Just after his father. Oh, I just love your name! Do you know it means 'light, or house?' that has such a powerful meaning! Houses are meant to protect, and shelter those in need, right? What do you think? … Your Majesty?"
Xavier let go of the blurry figure and sat down on the bench.
"What does Amara mean, Jennavicia? I never asked." Xavier said as he questioned the blurry figure.
She walked towards him and sat beside him.
"It means eternal, immortal, and grace. It is a name, specifically chosen from the Giodivonian gods in a dream I had. They chose that name in my dream, your Highness."
Xavier began to laugh.
"So this… is all starting to make sense." Xavier stood up.
"This… child… she… is chosen by the Giodivonian gods, even before being born. It makes sense."
