Lucky was getting closer to the incoming object. At this rate, the incoming object seemed to be coming closer and closer.
It was like a ball of fire falling his way.
It was approaching him... fast!.
He was on the way of this hot and gaseous object and he wouldn't have time to dodge it before it hit him. What had he been thinking when he was air flying towards it's direction?.
He felt something else coming towards him from behind. Confused with what to do, he turned and looked behind him and lo! there it was!.
A maroon FireWing Phoenix flying towards him. It was large like that size of a mini lorry and due to it's large wings it was getting closer to him by the second.
The Phoenix's hind and one leg looked badly injured with large wounds covering it.
Was this Ferlio?.
Where had he come from?.
If so, then he was trapped in between the incoming danger in the name of the star and Ferlio the menace.
For the first time in his whole life, he wasn't thinking straight and he didn't know what to do.
If he moved out of the way, then Ferlio would get the star. Guiding the star by making sure it didn't fall in his hands was one of the reasons why he was here and if he let Ferlio get the star, he would not have only failed the mission but also failed the three witches below of whom he was pretty sure were watching him.
If he maintained his position, he'd get hurt and burnt by the star and still with his injured state won't Ferlio get hold of the star?.
What was he to do?.
He turned again to look at the star which had gotten closer.
Either way, Lucky had to do something.
"That's mine!". The Phoenix behind him shouted. It was an actual phoenix by the way, did that mean he had been a chief during his time because most chiefs apart from his father and a few others in history were the only chiefs not capable of morphing into a real phoenix. Or had he used his dark magic so as to sustain such an ability?.
Lucky was a golden fiery red Phoenix so obviously if his Phoenix would have been active, he'd be able to morphe into an actual phoenix.
Lucky turned thus he was facing the phoenix which was meters away from him flapping it's wings so as to maintain it's balance.
To be honest if that was Ferlio then he had nothing to be scared of. The phoenix didn't look scary at all so he wondered why the scroll his Father gave him had exaggerated the details by calling Ferlio "The Mythical Creature". As far as he was concerned, he was also a mythical creature... and a compelling one at that fact.
He felt as if his brain had been drained away. What was he to say or do?.
But looking closely at the Phoenix in front of him, he realized that he had more advantage since the Phoenix was injured and it's wounds would take longer to heal.
He also noticed that the Phoenix in front of him was wasting a lot of it's inner energy by trying to heal itself or by trying to sustain the pain it felt.
This was just a big bad bird in front of him. He could easily take it down and keep the star for himself. He'd just target the wounds and make them worse by adding to his pain.
Hell, he'd even kill him.
But one rule of the supernatural, expect the unexpected. He shouldn't underestimate the Phoenix especially if it had been locked away... meaning it also wasn't that bad itself, huh?.
The Phoenix was about to move forwards when it stopped, it's eyes focused on something ahead. Something it had been waiting for so long. His dreams were now going to come true if only the kid in front of him got out of his way.
He would have to deal with the current barrier between him and his dreams.
Lucky was about to turn when he felt immensely hot all of a sudden. There was a loud wheezing like sound behind him. He intended to turn fully to look at the incoming object when the light blinded him he was forcefully pushed down by it's magnetic force that surrounded it.
Ferlio was pushed out of the way. Lucky couldn't get out of the way, it was as if he was being held into place by what was pushing him down.
He was approaching the ground fast and yet he couldn't get a hold of himself. He also couldn't turn to see the star obviously being the reason behind his current situation.
Lucky didn't want to fall face first especially now that the mountain was the target to their landing. It would be a rocky and painful landing making him wish he had moved out of the way in the very beginning.
He was about to fall on one of the mountain peaks. He even shut his eyes so as to not see the peak getting in contact with his face, but then he was hit from behind making him stop and gasp loudly at the sudden numbing pain he felt at his back. His eyes widened with shock and the air seemed to have left his lungs.
Ferlio watched in horror as the kid got pushed by the star's forces towards the mountain where he had come from. He had no idea whom the kid was but one thing was certain, they both had one goal; to get the star.
He couldn't fly towards them due to the light and the heat surrounding the star preventing him from getting close. Moreover, when he did manage to get closer, the star had hit the boy. He saw him shake with pain causing him to smile to himself.
'He'll be greatly injured and I'll have the star to myself'. Thought Ferlio to himself.
To his surprise, the star did not just hit him. It was getting absorbed in the body of the lad in front of him who was now shaking violently due to the pain he felt.
Ferlio shook his head trying to disagree with what he was watching. That wasn't possible.
He knew the star of salvation had to be absorbed in one's body for the effect of power to take place but one had to perform a ritual for that to happen. But this boy?. This boy in front of him did nothing of the sort and yet the star was absorbing itself in his body.
Ferlio couldn't just stay there and watch his dream that he had for hundreds of years diminish like that. This was not going to be his ending.
He needed... He wanted his happily ever after and this was not turning out as planned. It was not turning out the way he wanted.
Lucky was in pain. He felt as if something hot was stirring within him, burning all of his insides at a go leaving him in pain and yet he couldn't scream out... he didn't know why but he was shaking due to the force driving within and around him.
A tear streamed down his left cheek. He was stagnant on one position plus he couldn't move his body as if something was holding him onto place.
Ferlio came in front of him. "You imbecile!". He muttered beneath his breathe.
Lucky looked up at the Phoenix with his eyes which were half closed. He was sweaty and his clothing were also in rags. He was sweaty and the little remains of his clothes were already wet and soaked with sweat.
"You took what's mine. Give it back!". He demanded.
Lucky tried to open his mouth to speak but he couldn't least open his mouth even a little. All he could do was look at the phoenix in front of him.
"The star is mine. Give it to me and I shall let you live with no doubt". Ferlio said. Examining the boy closely, he wasn't shaking as violent as before.
"Who- Who a- are you?". Lucky managed to ask. He did know who this was but he had to play with Ferlio's mind and pretend to know nothing, right?.
The Phoenix gave out a small howl like sound which Lucky assumed to be it's laughter.
"Every being in this world knows of me.. You seem to be not aware of the most powerful being in the world, huh?. Tsk! tsk! tsk! tsk! what a shame!". Ferlio paused. "I. Am. Ferlio. The. Great". The bird emphasized.
The way it was able to speak through that beak perfectly fine, Lucky didn't know but he was sure that it was smirking at the moment if that was possible.
"You haven't heard of me, eh?". Taunted the bird. "I'm the greatest of them all and you, should fear me!".
Now Lucky was really sure by looking at the bird that it was smirking.
"Ferlio is such an absurd name. It doesn't sound as majestic and mighty as you emphasize". Lucky mumbled weakly as he tried to lift his hand and reach for the now torn kangaroo pocket of his hoodie with the hopes that his weapon was still there.
