Lilith had moved an inch closer to Hood's body. She clung against him after wrapping her arms around his neck. Hood made no attempt to push her away; instead, his gaze was drawn to the mirror in front of him.
He was undecided about what he should do. He didn't want to have a sexual relationship with Lilith, but he also wanted the comfort, especially now that he was having concerns about Shadow.
Since they had been together for so long, he should trust and believe him, but he couldn't shake the doubt that had crept into his heart.
When he took a deep inhale, the only thing he could smell was her.
