Ram tried his best to reach for his pocket where the leaf whistle was. The fact that he was struggling to breath, was what made it hard for him to be fast on taking the leaf whistle.
He finally reached the tip of his pocket and tried to insert his index and middle finger in so that he could get a hold of the whistle.
He had to be careful at the same time to not crumble it because it was fragile.
He managed to take the half of it out when he felt that he couldn't breath at all, was this thing, determined to finish him off just like that? He wasn't willing to die just like that even if he wasn't perfect, that did not mean that he was prone to die as atonement.
As he gasped for air, he managed to take the remaining half of it out. So, what had to be done, was for him to bring it up to his mouth to blow on it.
