It had been a little over a week since Clancy had purchased Elira from the Black Market. The thought still sickened Elira, but she was adjusting to life at the mansion, not that she was going to stay long, she just needed to think of a plan. The shock collar was still around her neck, and her wings were bound together, leaving them unusable. Escaping without her wings was going to be difficult, and she'd have to find a way to get the collar off.
"Good morning Angel cakes" Cook greeted as Elira walked into the kitchen, interrupting her thoughts, not that she minded. He wasn't much older than her and, despite the thick scar running down the length of his face, was quite handsome. His smile was like a ray of light Elira happily bathed in.
"Good morning, what's for breakfast?" Elira asked as she perched on one of the cushy stools provided for the staff.
"Ham and cheese omelet, bacon and orange juice" Cook said as he sat the food on the counter in front of Elira.
"Yummy" she exclaimed, digging in. Cook's food always tasted amazing, making her wonder if he had been a chef before being brought to the mansion. "Hey Cook, can I ask you something?"
"Of course," he said, leaning against the counter.
"How did you end up here?"
"Just like you, I was bought at the Black Market."
"How did you get there though? What did you do before this place?"
"I was a student at a culinary university. Being a chef was my dream, but some people from the Market heard about my talent and decided I'd be worth quite a bit of money, so they drugged me while I was at a bar celebrating my first semester at my dream school, then brought me to the Market. Clancy bought me and, well, the rest is history."
"I'm so sorry" Elira said, looking sadly at her plate.
"It's whatever" Cook said with a shrug. "It's been a while since then, and you can't change the past."
"It's still not right" Elira said bitterly.
"Don't let anyone else hear you say that" Cook whispered. "Trust me, you don't want to get on Clancy's bad side."
"Is that what happened to you?" Elira said quietly, eyeing his scar.
"Yeah" Cook said, looking downhearted for the first time since Elira met him. She'd never seen anything but a smile on his face, so she decided not to press him any further, the subject must be a painful one.
"You really are an amazing cook" Elira said, trying to lighten the suddenly gloomy mood.
"Thanks" Cook said, a smile on his face again. The two chatted for a while and Elira was happy to see him in good spirits again, she didn't like gloomy Cook, it was too sad. Besides, talking about the past only made her miss her family on Earth.
"Angel." Cat had quietly entered the kitchen without Elira or Cook noticing her.
"Geez Cat we need to get you a bell, you nearly gave me a heart attack" Cook said with a chuckle, holding his chest.
"Master requests your presence" Cat told Elira, ignoring Cook.
"Okay, coming. See you later, Cook!" Elira slid off the stool to follow Cat out of the kitchen and down the hall.
"You should stay away from him. Master will not be happy if he sees you two being so friendly." Cat said in her usual monotone as they walked.
"We're just friends" Elira said, though she wasn't sure if that was completely true. He made her stomach flutter and her cheeks warm whenever they were together.
"Just a word of warning" Cat said before falling silent. She knocked on Clancy's office door.
"You may enter" Clancy called from inside. Cat opened the door and took a step into the large room. The walls were lined with all kinds of supernatural paraphernalia and large bookshelves. There was a large arched window behind Clancy's massive desk which was cluttered with files. Clancy sat behind the desk in an ornate, high backed chair.
"I retrieved Angel" Cat said, bowing.
"Very good." Cat stood and exited the room, shutting the door behind her.
"You wanted to see me, Sir?" Clancy had requested Elira's presence a few times, usually during meals or to ask how she was settling in, so this was not out of the ordinary.
"Yes, I have some friends who want to meet you" Clancy said, standing. He walked, though it was more of a waddle, around his desk and made his way over to Elira.
"Friends?" Elira asked, puzzled; this was new.
"Yes yes, I was telling them all about you and they are very excited to meet you." Clancy took Elira's hand and smiled as he led her out of his office and downstairs to the basement, which Elira had never been to.
"Why are we down here?" Elira asked, her voice shaky. She was starting to get nervous. "I told you, I have some friends who want to meet you." Clancy smiled sweetly, too sweetly, and shoved her into the center of a large, dimply lit room. Five men stepped forward, each one with glowing eyes and inhuman features. They were smirking, revealing sharp incisors. "You know the rules. Do what you'd like, but no permanent damage! I don't want her losing any value."
"W-what?" Elira stuttered, her eyes wide.
"Have fun" Clancy said before exiting. One of the men locked the door behind him, sliding the key into his pocket.
"Oh, this is going to be fun" the man said as he stepped forward. Elira backed up and the man followed her until she hit a wall.
"Please, leave me alone" she begged.
"We already paid for our time" another man said.
"Paid?" Elira asked, horrified.
"Yep, we paid Clancy in exchange for one hour alone with you, to do whatever we please" yet another man chimed in. Elira's eyes swelled with tears and she began shaking, she knew this wasn't going to end well for her; these men were Demons, and they despised her kind.
The man closest to her grabbed Elira's arms and pinned them above her head. "Bring me the toolbox" he instructed. Another man walked over and set down a metal container, which glinted in the dim light. The man holding Elira's arms pulled out a long, slender blade and smirked. Elira's eyes widened and the tears brimming her eyes began to slide down her cheeks.
"No, please don't" she begged, but the man simply smirked and slid the blade down her arm. She felt it bite into her bicep and let out a painful scream.
"As long as we don't use Demon Glass you won't scar, meaning Clancy won't object" he whispered into her ear, causing her to shiver. He was right, normal weapons didn't leave scars on Angels, but they still hurt. He drew the blade up her side and she shrieked in pain. She struggled against him, but he was too strong. The other men moved closer and she felt more blades bite into her skin. She screamed as tears flowed down her face, kicking out at her captors. Her foot connected with one of them, which earned her a hard smack across the face. Her mouth filled with the metallic taste of blood and more tears welled up in her eyes.
"Stupid bitch" one of the men mumbled. They released her arms and she slumped to the floor, only for the one she kicked to pull his leg back and ram it into her ribs. She cried out in pain and hunched over, clutching her side and wheezing. The men laughed and one of them grabbed her hair, forcing her to look up at him. "Pathetic" he spat in her face before throwing her onto the ground. Elira's vision was blurry and she could feel herself slipping in and out of consciousness as they continued to brutalize her. Just when she thought it would never end something hard connected with her head. Stars burst behind her eyes before she slipped into darkness.
Elira wasn't sure how long she had been knocked out, but the first thing she noticed when regaining consciousness was the pain radiating throughout her entire body. She opened her eyes and groaned. The light made her head throb, reminding her of when she first awoke in the cell after being abducted. She looked around slowly and realized she was in her room. She slowly sat up, wincing at the pain in her side as she did so. Elira took stock of her injuries; the deep gashes were covered in bandages which nearly covered her whole body. Her ribs ached; she hoped they were just bruised and not broken. Worst of all the pain was her head, which throbbed and swam, causing a wave of nausea to overtake her. Elira ran to the bathroom- ignoring the excruciating pain it caused her- and fell to her knees, emptying her stomach into the toilet.
By time the nausea passed her head hurt even more and she slumped against the shower door, tears stinging the corner of her eyes. She wiped them away furiously. "No, I can't cry, that'll only make my head worse" she scolded herself. She shakily got up, steadying herself on the sink, and made her way back to the bedroom. She sat on the bed, wincing when the movement jostled her side. Someone knocked on the door and fear shot through Elira.
"May I come in?" Cat asked from the other side of the door.
"Yeah" Elira told her, still nervous. Cat walked in with a tray which she sat on the bedside table.
"I brought you pain killers and water, as well as some bread with butter. Please take the medication and eat what you can then get some rest, Master's orders." At the mention of Clancy, Elira's chest tightened. This was his fault; he did this to her.
"Thanks" Elira said. Cat nodded and left the room without another word. Elira took the medicine with a few gulps of water. She ate the bread- slowly as to not upset her stomach- then finished the glass of water and crawled into bed.

A few weeks had passed since Elira's first day in the basement with Clacy's 'friends,' which Elira now knew were customers. Thanks to her accelerated healing, Elira recovered from these visits within a few days, which only meant Clancy got to loan her out quicker.
Today was one of those days. Elira followed Clancy down the dark steps that led to the basement room which had turned into her torture chamber; the floor and walls were stained with her blood. She knew better than to resist when Clancy took her downstairs, she had tried it once only to get a severe electrical shock from the collar around her neck, which had left her panting and trembling on the ground; she was beat extra hard that day.
Elira walked into the middle of the room and looked around, expecting to see some of her the usual brutalizers, but was surprised to find herself facing three humans. Demons were the only ones who had ever bought time with Elira, and she hoped these humans weren't as brutal as the Demons. She got her hopes up too quickly.
"So pretty" one of the men said, stepping towards her. She stood her ground, knowing running away only made things worse. The man started stroking the bare skin on her arms, then her face. The other two men stepped forward and made a circle around Elira, each stroking her skin. One of them gripped her rear, making her jump forwards in surprise. The man in front of her smirked as she jumped into him. He pulled her close and ran his hands down her sides, causing her to tremble. "We were told we can't have this" he said, stroking between her legs. She tried to back away, but the other two men blocked her path. "But this is open for business" he said, running his thumb over her lower lip.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her voice shaking. She was used to being brutalized by now, but this was new. The man pushed her down to her knees and unzipped his pants. Her eyes widened in horror as she realized what he was going to do. She started backing away but he gabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled her closer, freeing himself in the process.
"Open up" he said, lining himself up with Elira's mouth, which she kept firmly closed. The man frowned and pulled on her hair, causing her to yelp in pain. "I don't want to hurt you, so open up like a good girl." Elira had experience dealing with pain, and she guessed this man couldn't hurt her like Demons could. She refused to open her mouth for this man to defile. "Not going to listen, are we? Fine then." He pulled back hard on her hair, but Elira bit her lip to keep from yelping again. The other two men grabbed her arms and held them tightly, as the man in front of her squatted to be eye level with her. "I will get what I want" he threatened. When Elira still didn't open her mouth, he stood, adjusted himself, and walked to the door.
He reemerged a few minutes later with a smug grin. "I'll give you one last chance" he told her. Elira looked him dead in the eye and kept her lips locked. "Very well" he said before electricity shot through Elira's body. She screamed and the other men let her go as she collapsed on the ground, panting heavily. She looked up at the man who know held the remote to her shock collar. He pulled her up by her hair and freed himself once again. "Now, open up. Unless you want another shock?" Elira knew she had no choice now, she screwed her eyes shut and opened her mouth, which was quickly filled with the man. She tried to distract herself, to think of anything else but the man defiling her. She imagined she was home with Sandra and Tyna, watching movies and eating pizza. They were laughing and smiling; they were happy. Tears squeezed out of Elira's closed eyes and flowed down her cheeks.
The man finished in her mouth, but he was quickly replaced by another man, and then the last. They each used her and by time they finished her throat burned and her hairs was sticky. She coughed up semen as tears streamed down her face. The men left, and she eventually dragged herself back to her room, where she stripped and stepped into a boiling hot shower. She tried to wash away what they had done, but no matter how hard she scrubbed, she still felt dirty. She sank to the shower floor and hugged her knees to her chest. She sobbed as the scorching water washed over her, but she could hardly feel it. She sat like that until her tears had subsided and her head throbbed. She reluctantly got out of the shower and dried off. She slid on a nightgown and climbed into the bed, where she pulled the blankets over her head and curled into the fetal position.
So much had happened to her in the last few weeks. She thought she could take it; she had gotten good at pretending everything was okay. She had forced herself to stop thinking about her family on Earth, but tonight she couldn't keep them from her thoughts. She wanted to curl up in Sandra's arms and cry. She wanted Tyna to threaten everyone who had hurt her. More than anything, she wanted to be far away from this place. More tears started falling as Elira thought about the people she loved who she may never see again. That thought made more tears fall, and Elira cried into a pillow until she eventually fell into a deep sleep.
