Hakuta Homura's parents were unknown. He was raised in an orphanage. In the year 2036, he was six years old. Despite being this young, he had developed a good sense of justice and his genius was almost frightening to the officials of the orphanage.
At the age of seven, he was playing with his best friend, whose name is forgotten by him. That friend was not the same age as him. She was a priestess at the neighbouring temple who would spend her savings at the children of this orphanage.
She would head over daily at his location and play with the bullied children, which includes Homura. Most of the children would bully the weak Homura just because they were envious of his talent, his brilliance. The priestess protected Homura from the bullies and so, the day when the priestess didn't arrived was really special for the bullies.
