Hitoshi raged down the street, mumbling under his breath as Kurayami and Anala kept a few steps behind, "So what now, boss?"
"Did you not fucking hear me? We're getting her a damn ring." Hitoshi bellowed, "Where's a goddamn jewelry store?!"
"This is an awful lot of effort for someone you're just planning on having us get rid of," Anala pointed out, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were impressed with her in an odd way."
Hitoshi halted before turning back to them, "I'm giving her a false sense of security. I can't have her fucking running off before we get married or I'll never get the old hag off of the throne."
"There's lots of other women on this planet, Hitoshi," Kurayami stated, "I'm surprised you'd want such a frail girl."
The Devil turned on his heels, letting out a humorless brief laugh, "Ha! What part of her was frail? She'll keep things interesting so I don't get too bored. We'll get hitched and then she'll get whacked, go to heaven, and I reign in Hell."
"She seemed sweet though… it's a shame." Anala lamented, becoming sad as she did, "I like Akane. I think she's a good person."
"Which is exactly why I chose her," he chuckled, "I'll play her little games and let her think she's safe, ring her, wed her, and then you guys can kill her."
Kurayami sighed, looking up a the clear blue sky, while enjoying the sun on his face, "Well, it'll be nice while it lasts."
As they walked, Hitoshi's attention was caught by a shining window, glittering with jewels and gold. He smirked and approached, eyeing the pieces as he walked about the exterior. In the window, he spotted a beautiful black diamond piece. It was designed in striking detail, with the rose gold band featuring a floral motif with a variety of side black diamonds.
Without his realizing,Hitoshi began to wonder how Akane would react and if she would like it. Shaking the thoughts from his head, he growled at his own mind.
It didn't matter if she liked it or not, she wouldn't be wearing it long enough for it to matter either way.
