Carefully, I lifted the lid and saw some wonderful things inside. All the gifts she had given to me were inside. The ones that always went missing. There was the picture that we took when we glammed each other up on my first day at the Teenage Home. There was our college scores. There was our BFF album, and our letters we wrote to each other during a boring class in the children's home. She had even kept the table knife that Jacqueline Marlowe had tried to stab me with. There was a whole lot more.
" Wow! Claudia, you kept this!!!" I exclaimed, dumping everything out at once so I could get a good look at everything.
"That's the dolphin key ring you stole from Mrs Narwhal because you were mad at her for giving you a zero in your Geography." Claudia said, making it bob up and down in her hand.
" She reported someone else!" Claudia gagged. Her face scrunched up as she laughed. I laughed back. We had such a nice time together back then. We still did.
"So, Lyne. You see we have always been the best of friends So please let's go Fiji." Claudia held my hand.
I let go of her hand and put my fingers through my hair and started getting nervous.
"Just tell me why you don't want to go?"
"When my parents went there... they never came back. So what if I go there. Its just ... I'm afraid of losing y... y....o...you." I stammered.
Claudia sighed and looked at me. She gave me a long hug and said "Come on, you know you'll never lose me." She held my wrist and dragged me up from the floor.
"Let's go lunch."
