a new don.

My body froze.

My brain was still buffering. Yet somehow, my lips managed to danced in sync with his. Our lips in a familiar tune as my eye slowly widen in comprehension.

Stavros fucking Koenig is kissing me. Me. Me. Me. Me! Well technically I initiated the first move, but I did not expect him to reciprocate!

His hand crept it's way to my scalp, tangling itself with my long locks of hair. A firm tug was made to send a sharp, yet pleasurable, sting. All of a sudden my life had a burst of color splashed into it. His kisses were punishing and dominating, I could melt. My heart pounded mercilessly beneath my chest.

Albeit his lips were rough, his touch however; was as gentle as a feather. His hand that had terrorised my hair, now sat on the back of my neck. Soothing massages of different shapes and forms of pattern, his hands were a miracle. His unoccupied hand and arm cincture my waist.

I place my hand on his chest, pushing him gently to catch my breath.

He was a sight to see: hair all messed up from my wandering hands, lips plump and red, shirt ruffled, and his eyes cloud in lust. Like a witch, he mirrored a victim under it's spell.

"You little minx," he grinned in victory before claiming my lips once more.

I bid farewell to Stavros as I saw him out the door. My hand in the air, waving as my gaze followed his mustang that drove further away the mansion. Closing the colossal mahogany doors, leaning on it as soon as it shut. A sigh passed my lips,

"Buonasera, signore Estevan." The head of the Bosco family greets my father. Dad only acknowledge him with a nod,

The Bosco Family, an italian mafia. They sat beside my family and Stavros' when it came to position and domination. The heir is a Vizziello. I am yet to meet the man,

Tonight, families who are allies with the Elikinis have gathered today to witness the coronation of Zahir. My heart fastened it's pace, anxious at the thought of Zahir being forced to be married to someone not of his preferred sex. Though, he reassured me that marriage wasn't going to be involved this time. His family accepted him, but I was afraid of what others might do once they find out. The mafia life isn't a place accepting of gay dons, those who are have been tossed and disowned by their familias. It made me feel disgust towards them.

"Good evening, sit down. Please." Remus Elikini urged us all. "As you may have heard, my eldest twin had passed."

May he rest in peace, long live the heir, We all chanted.

"Thank you," he accepts our condolences. "My son, Zahir Elikini is here today. What ever transactions you have, he is now the person you will be looking for. This day forward, he's now boss. Everything he says goes." His speech was plain and bland.

He dismissed Zahir and encourged the guests to enjoy the night freely. I sat beside my father who indulged in a conversation with Don Bosco. A tap on my shoulder caught my attention, I turned my head, west. Only to find the Bosco heir with his hand held out.

"Would you be delighted with a dance?" He offered.

Without hesitation, I took his stretched out hand. He led us to the dance floor. His right arm wrapped around my waist in a respectful distance, left hand had a firm grasp of my hand. We waltzed our way around the dance floor as soon as the music tuned.

"I was told to keep an eye on a certain butterfly tonight." He shared, "It's not a secret amongst the heirs that the one who will claim the Philadelphia's throne had taken a liking to you."

His newly shared information intrigued me, I didn't know he's friends with Stavros. He twirled me around and caught me by the waist, bending me slightly as I arched my back.

"What's your name?" He arched a brow at my question. A smile stretched his lips, eyes dancing with amusement glittered in them.

"I'm surprised you've not heard of my name before,"

"I'm aware of you being a Vizziello, albeit I wasn't informed of your name."

His teasing grin grew, "Kahlo, Kahlo Vizziello."

Kahlo Vizziello looked far too pleasing for the eye. Everything about him captivated you, from his chiseled jaw to his alluring eyes. The brunet's features, a mixture of soft and hard. Bright, emerald green eyes that glowed under the light; Towering height and plump lips. No one would deny how attractive he is, he could almost surpass my Stav.

"Vena," I introduced myself.

"I know."

Our waltzing soon came to an end as my feet grew tired from dancing, retreating to our table. Sitting down on the cushioned chairs, struggling a bit due to my choice of wardrobe. The bodice hugged me from the chest down to the waist, the skirt flared out into a ball. Intricate patterns adorned my gown as the color red complimented my tanned complexion. My feet suffered clad in Dolce and Gabbana.

My thoughts drifted to my Koenig, his family used to be an ally of the Elikini. I never was one to pry unless I was told to, not once had I questioned why. I guess it was my faith in the man that led me to believe that he had nothing to do with the death of the Elikini heir. I could only wish for everyone to think the same way,

The night ended off smoothly.

Now dressed in my nightgown, leaning my elbows on the railings of my balcony. The moon shone brightly, my skin glowed in it's reflection. My heartbeat quickened it's pace at the sound of someone climbing up to my balcony floor. Only releasing a breath of relief to catch Stavros jumping over the railings, landing gracefully on the floor.

"Are you crazy?!" I bade him.

He granted me a lazy grin in response. I huffed before reaching out my arms to him. A chuckle erupted from him as he held me tight in his arms. Mine were circled around his waist, his sat themselves on my shoulders.

"Did you have fun?" he asked after placing a soft kiss on my neck.

"I never knew you were friends with a Vizziello."

He shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. "You never asked."

"We danced." I informed, he raised a brow.

"He kept his hands were it should be, right? Because if he was feeling you up then our families may have a problem."

I giggled at his barbaric mind. "Calm down, caveman. He was respectful." I teased.

He nods in approval, "As he should."

I cuddled into his warmth further as we spent the night in sweet silence. Stavros Koenig is my only solitude in this chaotic world. I pray that they wouldn't take him away from me.

"I found out about your engagement."
