Chereads / I Am the Young Villager Alisha / Chapter 2 - II. I Just Saw The Prince From Down There

Chapter 2 - II. I Just Saw The Prince From Down There

Alisha loves saving people in need, as said before, she looks up to her grandmama, who was the one to begin taking care of other races that other humans doesn't really care for that much (or the ones that they are afraid of).

She's a pretty smart girl, and have been taught under her grandmother the arts of mystic healing and special herbs. She have saved numerous lives of creatures strangely unknown to the human world (their world), and sometimes she comes across creatures that are also very well-known...

Though, they are very well-known because they were feared, not just by humans, but other creatures as well.

"Take care of yourself, Alisha!" Her grandmama shouted, waving from the village gate. She waved back, giggling at the very worried look that her father is giving her.

"Don't talk to creepy strangers, ok? Stay safe! Don't suddenly eat mushrooms down the road, and don't forget to-"

"I know, Papa! I'm just going to pick some herbs!" This is what happens to them everytime she would be sent out for an errand. Her father slowly going out of his mind in worry as long as she is gone.

She still remembered the exasperated look that her grandmama has one time when she got stuck in the forest because of a storm.

Fortunately for her, a fairy that she and her grandmama has taken care of lives nearby and have urged her to take shelter there.

Let's just say a crying grown man isn't a pretty sight to see, though it is hilarious.

"Now, what do I need to pick...?" There are herbs in the forest that are unlike any other in the human's part. What grows there came from the attributes of the creatures that live there.

There are harmless herbs that she can just ask for from friendly creatures like fairies: glowing mushrooms, glitter yams and helios worbs.

Also, her absolute favorite is asking (pestering) her elven friend to give her roots from their trees. Eroots, or Elven roots, can be used to add speed on healing somebody.

A day of you healing can be cut to just half a day! The more you add it, the more it will lessen the time waiting.

She even got it to work in just one minute, though it is just on a simple cut.

"Alisha! You shouldn't be here!" How odd. She looked at the fairy flying towards, eyes frantically looking around as if something or someone will suddenly appear.

"What do you mean, Neridia?" She asked, taking note of the small burn wounds littering around her shoulders to her left arm.

"The Prince of Hell is here. And he is fighting with Adon." Her eyes widen at the name. Anius, that's the demon that she and her grandmother have saved just last week!

"Why? Why is the Prince fighting him?" She asked, worried about the kind demon being hurt.

"I'll tell you later, for now, we got to move on. They're going to be here any minute-" Too late. They are already here. A fire suddenly shot at the tree near Alisha, making her heart stop. Another one zoomed in, but this time towards her.

"Alisha!" Neridia quickly pulled her away from the line of fire and carried her away from the scene.

"What was that?! That's a strong magic right there!" She could feel the burning sensation of the fire even from afar. She imagined the pain would be unbearable if you are hit by it.

She worries more for Adon.

"Can you tell me why the Prince is trying to kill Adon now? And how it all started?" She inquired, watching the scene in front of them. They could see an outline, the one on the left with wings so sharp and edgy while the other...

...the outline of the wings looks magnificent.

"We were just also doing the same as you. Adon and I were just picking some herbs for an order in the village when the Prince suddenly appeared." The two stepped closer and what they saw are both magnificent and scary at the same time.

"I-I never saw Adon in that form..." None of them have ever seen him like that, it's like he is trying to hide who he is even though they told him they don't mind.

There are Banshees, Blood witches and Beasts living in the village; they rarely are afraid. Maybe that will be the initial reaction, but they'll move on from that very quickly.

"What's going to happen now?"

The two demons are still staring at each other, both in their demonic forms, as if threatening the other to back down first. Even from afar, the Neridia and her can feel the heat and heavy sensation of the fire from their bodies.

The real form of fire: The Fire from hell.

In her mind, Alisha started thinking if the fire from hell can add effectiveness to potions that she and the witches of her village are brewing...

"I didn't think that the mighty Abaddon would choose to associate himself with lower life forms. And to not come back to Hell? Almost unheard of." Sarcasm drips off of the Prince's voice, flexing his large and majestic wings, as if to intimidate the demon in front of him. Said demon scoffed and flexed his as well.

"These lower life forms saved me when your younger brother thought it is 'funny' to bury the hilt of his sword unto my back." He answered, fury heard in his words. This time, it was the Prince who scoffed at his answer.

"Pathetic. Is that all?" The Prince asked, rising from the ground, gathering fire from his palms.

"I came back from a hard battle from the Divine creatures above, how do you think would I feel? Strong? Fine? I do not think so." Adon followed suit and readied his own magic to counter the Prince's.

"My younger brother will never do that!" The Prince shouted, throwing the fire that he gathered from his palms to Adon's direction. Said man dodged easily, moving gracefully as he kept on dodging every single fire that was sent towards him.

"Your younger brother is a treacherous being! We may be demons, but we know that a fellow demon is family! Isn't that what your father said?!" Adon shouted, throwing fires on his own.

Far from them, Alisha started feeling heavy from the power radiating from the two. She felt dizzy, as if she's going to faint anytime soon.

Neridia took notice of this.

"Alisha! Alisha, come on let's move out of the way!" Neridia picked Alisha up and used her wings to move farther from the two fighting. Out of all the creatures around, humans are the most vulnerable to their magic, especially those from a stronger race.

Still, there are a lot of humans, far more than any of the races around. That is why they can never oppose them, there are far too much of them.

"Breathe, Alisha," Neridia started casting her spell towards Alisha, not wanting her to suffocate from the great amount of magic from two demons.

"T-Thank you," Alisha said, coughing.

"How long are they going to fight?!" Neridia said, looking at the state of the place they are fighting on. They were fortunate enough to fight at a place far from where other creatures live.

"It looks like they aren't stopping anytime soon..." Well, they have to stop now before they come nearer to the pond near here.

"My father wants you to come back! I want you to come back!" The Prince said, gathering fire from his palm yet again, but this time, it felt more stronger, and heavier that even Alisha knows she will suffocate from it from afar if it wasn't for Neridia's magic.

"I've had enough! I want to just live here in peace. Tell the King to leave me be. This is the gift that I want from him," Alisha smiled at what Adon said, happy that he felt like that towards the village. Home, the village is his home.

"What?! From that village down there?! I might as well burn it down!" At the mention of burning down the village, Adon flew towards the Prince and kicked him down the Earth. He revealed his fangs, a menacing look on his face.

"Do not even try, Asmodeus. You might be the heir, but I am far more older than you." Baring his fangs, he growled at the Prince, as if daring him to even think about attacking the village. Alisha could also see Neridia glowing, a trait that a fairy manifest whenever they feel an incredible emotion.

She glows the icy color blue, the same as her wings.

"And who could stop me? You? You have become soft, Abaddon. The Kingdom of Hell no longer supports the fire you emit." The Prince stated, menacingly starting fire from his palms yet again.

"I was going to spare you, Abaddon. As the best general of my father's league, you would have had a good life down there." The Prince stood up, palms still awake with fire. Adon started stumbling away from the Prince, opting to fly off the ground.

"W-What is this?" Alisha asked, feeling the Earth move below them. They could hear cracks from where the Prince is. He stretched out his palm, looking like he was summing something.

"The Morningstar! Neridia! Alisha! Run!" The two didn't even have to be told twice as they ran, well in Neridia's case flew, from the scene.

"It seems that your little friends are here!" The Prince said as his sword slowly lifted up from down below. It was an impressive sword, with fire coating the blade.

"Do not hurt them!" Adon growled, summong his own sword. Though it is not as flashy as the Morningstar, it still looks magnificent and menacing as it.

"The Dagon is out as well! I am honored!" The sarcastic smirk on the Prince's face turned into a menacing smile, making Alisha shiver to her bones.

"You will not hurt the people in the village," Alisha smiled at Adon's love for their home despite just being there for only a week. And it's not like the Prince of Hell can easily walk over there and destroy it...

There are archangels sleeping over there right now so-

"Have Adon met the angels staying over?" Alisha asked, whispering to Neridia. Said fairy froze for a moment, before her eyes lightened up. Alisha swore that she saw a light bulb suddenly turn on at that moment.

"I-I don't think so..." Neridia answered, just realizing that whatever it is that the Prince of Hell would threaten to do, he would never even go through half of it.

"I hope that Adon wouldn't mind angels hanging out in the village... and for a Virtue (a type of angel) to permanently live there." Alisha said, staring at the two demon starting their battle.

They watched as the Prince took the upper half at first, having a much powerful weapon than Adon, and looking like he was going to win. But knowing Adon, he IS the fearsome Abaddon and the greatest general of the King of Hell so...

It didn't take long for him to take the upper hand. Slashing his way didn't work with Adon anymore, blocking it much more easily.

"I see that you are still skilled," the Prince said, fatigue slowly taking over his body. Against any other creature (other than an angel), he would have won the battle so easily.

But...he fought with his own kind, and the general at that.

"You are finished, Asmodeus!" And the Demon general slashed through the Prince of Hell's left wing, rendering him useless from flight and making him fall down quite harshly.

The impact of the fall made a crater around the Prince's body, making Alisha worry about the state his brain might have been.

"Oh, Adon! Are you alright?! Are you hurt?!" Neridia quickly flew towards Adon, checking every part of the body that she could just to check if he is alright.

"My body feels heavy, and my head aches. I have minor wounds around, and a tear at my right wing." He lifted his wing up, showing the tear on his magnificent wings. Alisha ran towards Adon, checking how it is.

"Hmmm..." She touched the wing, surprised by how thick it was. It is impossible for a normal sword to get through this...

"He used the Morningstar, which is why I am so easily wounded." As if reading her mind, Adon answered her question.

"I think you'll be fine. Two days of rest will heal you back to full health." Alisha stated cheerfully, gently stroking the wing with the tear. Adon seems to quite like the action and 'hmmm'-ed in agreement.

"Neridia, continue stroking his wing to relax it. I, on the other hand, will be checking up on the Prince." Neridia, unsurprised at her decision, just nodded and started stroking Adon's wing. Said man, on the other hand, is very confused as to why Alisha would even think of saving the Prince.

"You shouldn-"

"Don't even bother telling her, she won't listen." Neridia cut him off before he can finish what he was going to say.

"But, he just threatened the village! He is not worthy of being healed and taken care of!" Adon stated, still staring at the scene happening in front of him. He couldn't tell if the girl is just jesting with him or is serious in healing the Prince up.

"Any stranger is worthy of every care." Neridia stated those words, making him remember the first time he asked why Alisha and his grandmother have saved him.

The only answer he was given are those words, together with a smile.

If it weren't for them helping him, he wouldn't be here right now. If it weren't for them, then he wouldn't have found this peaceful village of no prejudice.

They do not care if he is the most fearsome general of demons, or the banshee who have drowned people (another story for later), you are still a living creature and should be helped at all cost.

"It will take almost a week for him to recover. We would need to carry him inside the village." And Alisha's eyes went towards Adon. He sighed, knowing her she wouldn't give up and would just pester him until he agreed to it.

"Fine, I would carry him. But, mark my words, if he does do anything-" But Alisha just shushed him up with a smile.

"Oh~ he couldn't have done that!" Alisha stated, starting to walk towards the direction of the village. Adon just murmured about, "Not being safe" and "Too much trust".

"And why could he not?" Adon asked, picking up the Prince and marching towards Neridia and Alisha.

"The angels wouldn't allow it after all." Adon didn't react at first, maybe not having the words sink in at that moment, but realization soon came to him.

Angels = Divine Beings = Heaven = Archenemies

"Angels?! There are also angels in there?!" But both Neridia and Alisha just giggled and started quickening their pace. Adon, on the other hand, is shouting at them frantically to answer him.

"Yes! There are angels there! So, I hope you guys get along!"

Alisha laughed at the face that Adon have made.

The Great Abaddon living in harmony with angels- not bad.
