"Aye... I just realized I've been using my omnipotence to watch anime all day!"
Procrastination! Such is the main enemy of those with big dreams. They say the more capable someone is, the more they believe they can finish their tasks last minute!
While yes, Deus had spent quite a while getting information on his situation, he also hadn't actually tested out his powers.
Recalling some of his most basic abilities, one of Deus's split-minds thought, "Can't I use the 'Divine Eye' ability to see the world below in HD?"
The divine eye was an ability that Deus found out he had through asking himself questions, it sent part of his consciousness down to the mortal plane for him to look through it.
"Hmm... let's look at Earth!" he said, and as if responding to his plea, a small part of his consciousness was sent in Earth's direction.
What he saw had completely dumbfounded him, there hadn't been a single human outside. The planet had seemingly paused.
After researching to find out the reason, he found that any amount of time that he (God) didn't spend taking care of his planets, the karma of all sentient beings within said planet would take form as a natural disaster. Humans had all quarantined themselves to evade a virus, the virus was created because of the horrible karma within the humans of Earth.
Without a second thought, mainly because gods don't need those, Deus simply destroyed the planet Earth.
"Better off gone..."
"Destroyed" isn't the best description one could give, it was more so erased from existence. None of the alien life that had come across Earth would remember it, which was for the better.
In that conscious's stead, Deus's other personalities ran checks on every planet with life and erased them.
"I'll just restart this shit hole."
In his head though, 'What was wrong with the last God?! A multiverse of science instead of magic?! Idiot!'
Before deciding on how he'd run his new multiverse, Deus had to experiment with his power.
"The most basic power of mine is creation and destruction... I simply have to dedicate a consciousness to knowledge and anything I imagine can be created within an instant. Destruction isn't all about imagination though, it involves the spreading out of an object's atom to an extent in which it no longer exists, near instantly."
In fact, since Deus had to destroy manually, it took more of a mental toll on him than creation. Gods were different, they could create something out of nothing.
"Our nothing is different from a mortal's, our nothing is a canvas for our imagination's paintbrush."
Deus thought that if his predecessor did anything right, it was developing his multiverse's culture heavily. Each personality on Earth could be said to have more creativity than any number of normal gods.
"What am I thinking? He was just lazy and didn't guide his creations, resulting in them having complete reign over their thoughts."
Guiding a god's creation is another ability he has. A god's true form cannot be seen by a mortal, it will have too many negative repercussions. So a god will simply plant thoughts in their creation's head in order to push them toward a specific goal.
Still, everything had free will and nothing could be done to take that away.
"It makes me wonder, is there an existence above us gods? Something that can restrict us to such an extent?"
This was yet another question that Deus had been unable to answer, but he couldn't care less about the hierarchy of the gods. He simply wanted to create an ideal world.
One of the abilities that would allow for such a situation was Deus's ability to control time. Time wasn't a subjective thing as many humans believed, it was actually a force. A force similar to gravity, except it flowed "forward." One's forward could be considered the only subjective part of the force of time, every being had the force of time acting upon them differently.
Deus's time control ability allowed him to manipulate a person's or persons' force of time, setting it stationary in order to stop it, reversing its flow in order to reverse it, and so on.
"It seems Einstein's Theory of Relativity was an implanted thought by the previous God, to think he actually guided someone. Although Einstein somewhat misunderstood it."
Those were all of the abilities that Deus had received upon his transformation, and if he wanted, he could simply use his power of creation to make more!
