Coral is bantering on with the man before him, Bartabus, about something they wanted to poses. They both wanted Megan.
Bartabus-
Hey! You got a lot of guts to go about your way to get to the twig. Stay away from Megan amd stop causing her trouble just to get to her sister.
Coral-
Who the barnacle said I wanted her sister? No, no. I want her. Such an adorable lady deserves the best treatment. I simply want to be the one to provide that hospitality. So mind your own business.
Bartabus-
Oh~No. If anyone is getting her, its me. You're just a new face so back off and let a real man take care of her. A man with class, status and quality enough to support her.
Coral-
Wow. You think that grandly of yourself when, as a matter of fact, you have only dug your own grave being here.
Bartabus takes corals shirt and yanks him closer furiously.
Bartabus-
The fuck did you just say, twiglet?
Coral sneers at him when conch suddenly interrupts them and separates the two in full arms length.
Conch-
... Is there a problem here that can't be handled with words, Coral?
Coral-
Not at all until he grabbed at me. Not like it will do much with his sad howling.
Bartabus-
You mother...!!
Coral-
Oh~ temper, temper. No wonder she's scared of you.
Conch-
Coral~. Relax. I don't want to start anything crazy before our first year ends.
Coral-
I am very relaxed. Not my fault the man finds me to be a challenge.
Bartabus-
Like a twig like you ever stood a chance. Learn your place and grow some muscle before you come back here, pretty boy.
Coral-
Big words fitting a big blowhole.
Conch-
Coral, knock it off. We shouldn't be getting into trouble right now.
Coral-
He started it. Just because I have more balls to talk to the girl than he does he decided to ride my fin like a damn dolphin.
Conch-
CORAL!!
Coral-
What!? I'm not letting some dumbass parade around like he owns the place just because he has a title! I have my rights to love who I want to love and if he has a problem with it, then by all means let him start something he can't finish. I'm not in the wrong for who I am or who I like. Let him test me. See who's head...!?
Conch covers corals mouth before he could finish speaking and glares at him.
Conch-
I said, "relax".
Thin smoke clouds flow from conches hand into corals mouth and nose without anyone noticing anything but coral calming down to a sleepy child state of mind.
Conch-
... Thank you. We're going to get our food, and head to the docks to get you started on work. Alright?
Bartabus-
Heh! A damn Fisher has the nerve to challenge me. Get real.
Conch turns and calmly looks to Bartabus with an icy glare that sent chills down his spine.
Conch-
... You got a problem with the guys that catch your meals for you every day?
Bartabus falls silent. Conch chuckles at his embarrassment in amusement.
Bartabus-
Wha!?
Conch-
... Make sure you watch that temper guard dog. You don't wanna bite the wrong people.
Conch's green eyes start to glow a bright lime color as he stares Bartabus in the face, then walks off with Coral back to Taro.
Conch-
Lets go, please. I wanna eat at home.
Coral follows Conch without a word and they head back to find Taro talking to Tommy about Coral Joining there crew. Coral hears a comment that made him blush.
Tommy-
... sure he can work with his brother. gonna be a pain in the ass making that top again but at least he's smaller than Conch so if both of them suits can be done by tomorrow and they can start work whenever they come in. Having two pods on deck ain't gonna be half bad at all.
Conch-
Taro! I found him. Hey Tommy. You seem well.
Tommy-
Conch. ya big bastard. So, baby brother. you okay with fishing for a while?
Coral-
Ugh... Me? Wait. I'm not the baby!
Conch-
Calm down that's just how he talks. He calls Taro a guppy every morning. Its actually really funny.
Coral snicker a bit and looks to them nervously.
Coral-
I suppose it can't hurt for a while.
Tommy-
Good. You two can start tomorrow morning once your suits are done.
Coral-
Wait I'm getting one of those too?
Tommy-
If you swimming, yeah. We gotta keep a uniform since we got some competition on the other side.
Coral-
Urgh... Alright. So we got what we need Conch?
Conch-
No thanks to you, no. Come on. Lets get some breakfast somewhere inside. I'm starting to get hungrier than usual.
Coral-
Sorry.
Conch and Coral leave Taro and Tommy at their stall.
They make it to the center of the town and see the croud grow slightly larger than normal.
