The next morning, Coral dances around the halls of the ship until he sees conch leave the pearl room. He didn't look too happy.
Coral-
Conch? What's the matter?
Conch-
Mm? Oh... good news and bad news. Good new: I know where the nearest land is we can move to with the least amount of contact to the sea rule. Filled with people! Bad news: if we do find any land with people at all we have no choice but run into merfolk temples. All of the temples are beneath or near some form of land with settlement.
Coral-
You're kidding me.
Conch-
I've been looking all morning on the pearl. It can do so much. I love it! Anyway, if we ever want to get one, we'll need to travel as people by boat. We can say we were traveling to move and lost most of our things at sea. At least it gives us a story.
Coral-
I can live with that. Good or bad that sounds like the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life.
Conch-
Then let's get ready to sail. Get some wood from the shipwrecks that we've been too already. And some more clothes. I'll try to get as much food stored up as I can for us.
Coral-
