"Huh?" Mairey was woken up from her sleep by a loud knock on her door. She slowly sat up and spun her legs over the edge of the bed as she rubbed her eyes. She stood up and threw on a silky, pale lemonade pink robe before she exited her bedroom.
"Who could it be at this time of night?" The elvish woman asked herself as she approached the door. Once she opened it, she was astonished when she saw Aphiya.
"Aphiya, what are you doing up at three in the morning? Don't you have school tomorrow?" She then realized something, "Wait a minute. Where's Lars?"
"That's what I'm wondering." Said the girl, sounding very scared.
"Huh? What do you mean, dear?"
"My father," began the girl, "He's missing."
"Missing? Are you sure? I mean, maybe he just went outside for a walk."
Aphiya shook her head, "He doesn't do those this late at night. Also, I haven't seen him since you left our apartment hours ago."
