Zane had never worried where the house cleaners and workers of the Valois mansion slept and he wondered what they said about him. He walked around the mansion and he could see a smaller two-story building round the back. It did not have the luxurious build of the mansion but it was tastefully decorated.
The rose bush in front of the building looked very beautiful. Purple roses, Zane had never seen it before. He wondered what kind of effect this purple rose would have in combination with other plants.
He forced himself to move his eyes away from the rose. He had to be careful and not leave any trace of alchemy. Liking plants or even touching them.
He could feel Amara's attention still on him.
Don't tense up. Zane warned himself as he followed her.
