Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I could hear heavy footsteps march to my bedroom door. I quickly backed into a corner by my bed curling into a ball. Not that it would help.

*BANG*

I flinched when the door slammed open against the wall. I could smell the alcohol and hear my father panting. Peeking through my long black hair, my father made a frightening sight standing in the doorway with the light from the hall behind him casting his front in shadow. I couldn't see his eyes but I felt their cold hungry gaze on me. He was out for blood tonight. My blood.

I curled into a tighter ball as he quickly advanced towards me. With my head tucked into my knees I didn't see his boot coming but screamed when he kicked my side. He kicked and punched me over and over. I could hear my ribs crack and screamed louder.

Finally he stopped and took a long swig straight from the expensive wine bottle he still had in his hands. He was a handsome man even for his age, well built with light blonde hair that only had a hint of white. We shared the same pale blue eyes, thankfully that's the only thing we share.

Taking another swig he spit a month full out on me. "Worthless little bitch." I didn't dare move but couldn't stop myself from trembling.

He squatted down over me and ran his hands up my bare thigh lifting the hem of my nightgown higher.

"What are you-" I put my hands over his and tried to push his away.

"Shut up!" He slapped my hands then held my wrist in one of his over my head. "I haven't given my baby girl her birthday present yet. Seventeen, I think it's time for you to become a woman now." I struggled as he continued to lift my gown exposing my white cotton panties.

"No! P-please don't do this!" I tried to get my hands free and clamped my legs together.

"Don't worry baby I won't touch you but that doesn't mean I won't use this bottle to break you," he laughed. I had never seen him look so deranged as he did tonight. His eyes were red and his face was sweaty. He licked his lips as he tore my cotton panties.

"No! Don't do this! Don't hurt me!" I begged. He tried to put the bottle between my legs but I clamped my thighs as tight as possible together.

"MICAH! HELP ME!" I screamed for my older half brother. My father's only heir. He never got involved before and would only ever ignore me. He didn't abuse me like my dad and half sister did but he never stopped them either. But I was desperate tonight.

"CLAIR!" I cried for my stepmother. She never helped either but like Micah she never got involved.

My father looked pissed as his face turned dark when I cried for my stepmother.

"Don't you dare bring her into this! She won't help you. You're the object of shame for this family. She blames you for my affair!" He yelled in my face.

We both knew Clair blamed her husband for the affair he had with their maid, my mother. It was Clair that allowed me to live here when my mother died during my childbirth. Her daughter Savannah was only 3 months older than me. She didn't keep my father from loving me she completely ignored me, but she did blame my father. She became cold towards him and wouldn't let him touch her. He hated me for the way she treated him.

Still struggling and crying. "Micah! Clair! Please Help!" I screamed and cried as loud as I could. Trying to fight my father's grip and squirming away from that bottle. I will not lose my innocence like this! I screamed until I heard feet running in the hall.

Micah stood in the hall with just his boxers on looking in my room. His blonde hair was a mess like he just rolled out of bed. I had never cried for him to help me before which probably is why he came this time. One of my wrist broke under the pressure my father was exerting on it when he saw Micah in the door. I screamed in pain.

"Get out of here!" Father commanded him.

"Please Micah, don't leave me!" I looked at him through blurry eyes. We had never been close but I didn't think we hated each other. I hoped he wouldn't leave anyone like this even if he did hate me.

I began to relax when he took a hesitant step into the room.

"What are you doing dad? She looks pretty bad I think that's enough for tonight don't you?" Micah tried to coax our father and placed a hand out towards him.

"I'm just giving her a birthday present." He lifted the empty bottle to show him. "My little girl is all grown up." He tried to shove the bottle between my legs again while I wasn't struggling. Micah jumped onto his back and pulled him off me right before he could hurt me anymore. They wrestled on the floor of my room. Micah at eighteen wasn't as muscular as dad but he was strong enough to hold his own against him. He was faster and wasn't drunk.

"Get off him!" Clair yelled into my room. I hadn't noticed her come in. Micah was still on Dad's back with him locked in a chokehold that was turning his face deep red then purple. He let go when dad nearly passed out. Gasping for air, Clair helped him to his feet then walked him out of my room without sparing me a glance.

I watched it all feeling a sort of numbness that scared me.

"Pack your bag and meet me downstairs." Micah got up. He wouldn't look at me.

Standing on shaky legs, "Where are we going?"I asked before he walked out the door. My voice was hoarse from screaming and trembled with tears.

"First, hospital then somewhere you will be safe."
