I awoke with a gasp, jerking up right. I noticed how sore my body actually was as I moved. The silk sheets under me were soft and cool. Remmy was asleep next to me, breathing softly. I reached out and poked him, he grumbled and rolled over. I growled and pushed him this time. He was going to wake up. I was hurting.
"Remmy!! I'm hurting!"
He shot upright and gathered me in his arms, kissing my forehead.
"You'll be sore for a few days, little mate."
"It hurts."
"I know. Rest, sweetheart. Tomorrow we start..."
His sentence was interrupted by one of the guards running in, growling loudly he jumped in front of me, hiding my body from the man's view. I did however get a nice look at his ass. I giggled and blushed, licking my lips as he looked at me. His eyes darkened with lust again. The warrior coughed, Remmy turned his attention back to him.
"WHAT?!"
I could hear the anger and frustration in his voice. I knew it was because of the warrior werent here he would be buried deep inside my body again. We had mated, and he had claimed me but my heat wouldn't be over for a few more days.
"My king.... Were under attack."
Those words wrenched a gasp from me and I started to move from the bed. Remmy growled as the sheet slipped, revealing my breast.
"LEAVE. ILL COME OUT."
The warrior left and Remmy turned to me, his eyes now scarlet are filled with rage and lust.
"Love, you're going to hide. I will be back. Go with my sister and mother."
Mel and his mother walked in, smiling at me softly. I stood up and quickly dressed, wincing as the clothes touched my body. I could see Titus mind linking his sister and mother, who nooded and grabbed me as they started running.
"He's so overprotective of you, dear. It's refreshing to see this instead of anger. However, you're still in heat... So he will not allow you near any male wolves right now. Lets go. He'll find us when it's safe."
I was confused and kinda feeling odd. My body just felt off. I felt that I had to be there to help. But I knew Remmy would be pissed if I disobeyed him. My finger tips zinged with what felt like static. His mother stopped in her tracks and set me down, looking me over curiously. She gasped and backed away slightly.
"Mel darling.... You need to mind link your brother for me. His little mate here.... She's not a wolf at all. Not one bit. She's a witch, I believe."
"A.... Mother are you sure? Witches were killed years ago."
"I'm sure, look at her."
My eyes glowed violet and I growled. Magic coming to my finger tips easily. I wanted, no I needed to help my mate fight. Mel looked at me wide eyed and a bit frightened.
"Fuck.... Oh dear God.... What are we going to fucking do? We can't handle her alone. She won't settle without him"
"That's why you need to mind link Remmy. Right now."
I saw Mels eyes glaze over as she did what her mother said. A blue orb formed in my hand and I approached a window. I saw a wolf approach Remmy, who growled loudly and I shot the orb at the Wolf. It landed on its target and the Wolf yelped as it fell to the ground. Remmy snapped around to face me, his face showing his confusion and worry. Another wolf took the opportunity to lunge for him and I screeched while throwing two orbs its way. Hearing my scream, he growled and grabbed the Wolf by its throat as my orbs struck it.
"Callie. Remmy says you need to stop. He can handle it. Ma, shes not a witch. Shes something more. I feel it."
Mel mumbled and her mother nodded. I suddenly felt very weak, my knees buckled and she caught me. She ran to a safe room with me, and put me on a bed. Their mother locked the door and turned to me, worry written all over her face. She covered me with a blanket as my body shook. I was freezing, and I didn't understand why. Amber sat on the other side of me and rubbed my arm, helping to try to warm me.
"Cal.... Do you have any idea what you are?"
"N... No. I don't understand... I just don't... What did I do?"
"Oh, hun... You didn't do anything wrong. We will figure it out. Lets just wait."
I leaned against her, trying to steady my breathing and anxiety. It seemed like we were locked in that room for hours, when the door swung open and revealed a panting, blood covered, angry Remmy. His mother and sister stood up and left.
"Little mate, we should talk. Lets get you to our room."
I nodded and stood up. I followed behind him, shivering. We passed his mother and father, they were deep in discussion. His father smiled at me softly and the look of pride on his face was clear. Remmy opened our door and began stripping.
"I need to shower first. I'll be back in a moment."
"Okay."
I whispered as he walked into the bathroom. I sighed and grabbed one of his shirts and slipped it on. I needed the comfort of his scent. Grabbing his phone I dialed my mothers number.
"Cal? What's wrong?"
"Mom.... What am I? I.... I know I'm not a normal wolf. Am I even a wolf?"
My mother sighed.
"No, you're a wolf. But..... You're the goddesses daughter.... Your father and I were chosen to raose you and keep you safe... Cal, sweetie you have to tell Remmy. I gather you've come into some of the magic. Tell me Remmy and we'll be there soon to see you."
I dropped my head into my hands when she hung and curled in a ball. Utterly confused and a bit hurt, I started sobbing.
My mother was the goddess? How? Wait... I wasn't born into the pack..but brought to it by my parents. It all began to make a little more sense. I inhaled Remmys scent, trying to calm myself. It would only make things complicated. It made me afraid he would reject me. But, he had every right to know.
I heard him come back in the room. He was clean and less tense. He dressed quietly and sat down in front of me.
"Love.... What are you?"
"I.... I am the daughter of the goddess. My mother just...just told me... She isn't my biological mother... Her and my father are on their way."
He cupped my face in his hands and brushed his lips against mine.
"Little mate.... I would never dream of rejecting you. You're mine. But there's more... What are you hiding, my love?"
I sighed and looked at my hands.
"I'll tell you... But... Please don't get mad at me."
I whispered and stood up, running my hands through my hair.
